Unfortunately, it does not seem to accept all types cards from several of the major banks here in New Zealand. At my first market, there were one or two transactions that did not go through and then, yesterday, it did not accept any of the transactions I attempted. Thought the app wasn’t working so tested it out on my own card (different bank) and it worked fine. I use stripe for my online bookings and searched to see if there was anyway I could easily use it for my after sales sessions. I found PayNow! Instantly downloaded and it has been my point of sale now for three years! All I need is my phone charged. I have recommended it to many others in my professional field and they all say same thing. Stripe’s native app now provides the ability to enter an amount and accept tap-to-pay or card-not-present transactions. With this app I no longer miss out on sales because the customer doesn’t have enough cash on them. You can enter data manually or use the ap’s camera feature to take photo of card then card data auto populates. Doesn’t require additional hardware. Transaction reporting shows up in the Stripe dashboard.
