The 30-year schedule is a starting point, not a life sentence. On a $378,000 loan at 5.625%, the standard schedule repays more than $783,000 in total. Over $400,000 of that is interest, more than the loan itself. PayOff Pro shows you that number on your own loan, then shows you what every extra dollar does to it. HOW IT WORKS 1. Enter your loan details. It takes about two minutes. 2. See your Savings Reveal, the true interest cost of your mortgage. 3. Pay your lender directly, the way you normally do.Any extra payment made must be directed to the principal. 4. Log that extra payment here and watch your payoff date move. You pay your lender. Logging the payment in PayOff Pro is what shows you the interest it took off and the time it bought back. The app does not move money and does not connect to your bank.
