For such a long history of a brand, I would not expect PayPal to have such a terrible UI, respectfully. ### 2/5 — App for iPad Is Not Good *2026-08-24, version 8.107.2* This App is not formatted to work well with the iPad. First of all, the layout is in Portrait Mode as if you are using it on an iPhone. On an iPad it should be in Landscape Mode. You can barely see your complete information. You have to swipe left and right to go back and forth to view your information. I highly suggest just using their website. Oh, and speaking of their website, along with the iPad App, you cannot download your statements on the iPad. App does not work properly on my iPad. . I downloaded the app from the App Store so that I could use it to manage my PayPal account on my iPad rather than using my trusty windows laptop. What a mistake! The app is totally over the top with its logging in process. Not sure how safe my facial recognition data is. Also contains other details shown on my drivers licence which are not relevant to their business purposes. That aside, the Apple version appears to have forgotten about using a key code rather than a password. I received a terrible punishment for the matter. I experienced the dark side of it, as the customer service team took my money out before the payment was due because they couldn’t wait until the correct fortnightly payment method. Once the dispute was settled, they started deducting the money and claimed I had paid, which is what I received from them. They stopped me from using Pay in 4 payments because the dispute was not acceptable to them. After a few months, they continued misleading me to get the full payment and kept my personal details, even though I had nothing to do with the PayPal account anymore. So, what is the point of using this frustrating and punishing service, especially with the horrible agents and upset customer support? That’s my honest experience with this service. I can’t write anything positive about this terrible situation. I know they will be looking to punish me again for this negative experience, but I’m not sure if I can keep using my account under these circumstances. ### 1/5 — Bad app *2026-08-22, version 8.107.2* App won’t open I don’t know why ### 1/5 — Horrid *2026-08-22, version 8.107.2* Horrid app, literally tried to dispute a charge that was 100% a scam and they’re to blind and stupid to see it, this entire app is a scam. Especially when you want to charge me for money I already have in the damn app. ### 2/5 — Clunky app. Great services. *2026-08-22, version 8.107.2* This app has always been laggy for me, across multiple iOS devices. Opening PayPal Credit is especially annoying, as the user is directed into what feels like a webapp via a 10-15 second loading screen. Exiting PayPal Credit, and other app features such as Make a Payment, produce a 'Are you sure you want to exit?' popup with unintuitive responses. On top of all this, the PayPal app has a very cluttered home screen, which is, again, both laggy and unintuitive to navigate. Considering PayPal's broad success and essential ubiquity in the world of digital finance, they should have the best app in fintech. When I contact them, there’s no reason for the security limits. They just tell you to sit around and wait.
