## What is PayShare?

PayShare helps you track spending with less manual work and more privacy.

Capture Apple Wallet payments, organize expenses, build budgets, and share transactions with people you choose. Your data stays in iCloud. PayShare does not use ads, tracking, analytics, AI, or third-party finance databases.

APPLE WALLET CAPTURE

Set up the Apple Shortcuts automation once, then PayShare can help capture Apple Wallet payments after they happen.

When a payment is detected, choose a category from the pop-up and the expense is saved. If you skip the pop-up, PayShare saves it as Uncategorized so you can edit it later.

ICLOUD SHARING

Create private iCloud sharing connections with partners, family, friends, or anyone you manage expenses with.

Each person keeps ownership of their own transactions while choosing who can see them. You can share with multiple people, set view-only access, remove connections, or hide selected transactions from shared views.

BUDGETS AND INSIGHTS

Plan spending across your own expenses and shared expenses from connected users.

Track income, expenses, savings, categories, locations, and trends in one place. PayShare also supports activity-based budgets using Apple Health data such as steps, running minutes, and mindfulness minutes.

PRIVACY FIRST

PayShare keeps your finance data inside Apple's ecosystem, stored in your private iCloud.

There are no ads, no tracking, no analytics, no AI, and no third-party finance database. Currency rates are fetched only to support the currencies you select in the app.

Important Notes:

Apple Wallet capture requires a one-time Apple Shortcuts automation setup. The Wallet notification must appear before the automation can run, so the category pop-up may take a few seconds. In rare cases, Apple's automation system may fail and a transaction may need to be added manually.

iCloud sharing depends on Apple's CloudKit system. Both users need available iCloud storage, and PayShare should stay open or in the background while accepting an invitation.

NEW DESIGN
• Refreshed Timeline, Analytics and Plan, with Liquid Glass on iOS 26
• Redesigned Analytics with a new overview chart, trend view and tappable insight cards
• Group spending by category, tag, merchant, place, payment method or recurring

AMOUNTS IN YOUR FORMAT
• Amounts are now read and shown in your region's format everywhere — transactions, budgets, savings and search
• Fixes incorrect values in regions that use a comma as the decimal separator

CURRENCIES
• Added 53 currencies that were missing, including NZD, PHP, VND, TWD, SAR and PKR
• If your region fell back to USD, you can now choose your own currency in Settings › Currency
• The currency picker is now in alphabetical order

SHARING
• Fixed transactions being duplicated on accounts that share with someone else. Please update PayShare on all your devices — one still on the old version keeps creating copies
• Fixed invitations that could get stuck when sent through Messages
• Remove a connection on your own, without needing the other person to act
• The share button now shows progress instead of appearing to do nothing

NEW: DUPLICATE CLEANUP
• Settings › Data & Sync can now remove copies already on your device, with a preview and a CSV backup before anything is deleted. It only ever touches your own transactions

IMPORT AND EXPORT
• Import skips rows you already have and tells you how many
• Reads amounts in your format and reports the exact line when a row can't be read
• Exported CSVs now use full timestamps and exact amounts, so re-importing a PayShare export no longer duplicates everything. If you open exports in a spreadsheet, the date column format has changed

CATEGORIES
• Redesigned editor with thirteen preset colour swatches alongside the colour wheel, and a searchable icon browser
• Clear explanation when a category can't be saved

SEARCH
• New amount range filter, open-ended date ranges, and currency shown on results

IPAD
• Adaptive sidebar and pointer effects
• Keyboard shortcuts: ⌘N for a new transaction, ⌘1–5 to switch tabs

ACCESSIBILITY
• Full Dynamic Type support on every screen, and VoiceOver labels throughout

ALSO FIXED
• A completed purchase no longer leaves the subscription screen stuck, and your subscription no longer drops while you're offline
• Colours are no longer saved a fraction darker than the one you picked
• Activity Budgets track periods correctly and credit late-synced activity
• Many currency, budget and recurring transaction fixes
