## What is Payworks Self Service?

Important: Your employer must be a Payworks client and you must have an email login in order for you to use the app. You can now self-enrol for email login directly from the app.

Whether you’re logging in from work or home, on the bus or the beach, Payworks Self Service gives you quick and convenient access to your pay information and lets you manage your time – on and off the clock – when (and where!) you need it.

Through the Payworks Self Service app, you have convenient access to: 
- View your pay statements and pay history.
- Submit time off requests and check your time off balances.
- Clock in and out of shifts and breaks using Web time or Timesheets.
- View your work Calendar, including your shifts, pending time off requests, and your team’s schedule to help plan and coordinate.
- Request shift coverage, view and take action on available shifts. 
- Receive push notifications for available shifts, with more notifications to come!
- Update your personal employee information, like your address or emergency contacts directly from the app.
- Admin users can now view and action pending Time-Off Requests directly in the app.

Best of all, you can authenticate and log in using biometrics (like your fingerprint or facial recognition) for fast and secure access.

Need to uninstall and reinstall at least once per month. Forces you to install updates before letting you clock into / out of work.
Today it isn’t working at all. Don’t use this trash if you like your employees

App UI is so bad I had to write my first review ever. I read the reviews talking about how terrible the app was, so I had some expectation that it wouldn’t be the best. It was even worse than I thought. 

First off, you have to enter your email login every time, unless you enable FaceID which I prefer not to use on my phone. Secondly, anytime you want to navigate on any page of the app it brings up a separate tab (why does it do this? Couldn’t you just make it integrated into the app?) and takes a ridiculous amount of time to load. I have an iPhone 16pro so it’s not a problem with my connection or my phone. The safari web does a way better job at loading quicker. My theory is the app developers were too lazy to integrate things like the calendar and timesheet tabs into the app so it just pulls it up through the web and loads it every time. Terrible.

If you’re thinking about downloading this,  just make a safari shortcut on your homepage. Million times faster. Pointless app. If you’re a developer reading this, do better, respectfully.

**Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. May we recommend enabling biometrics touch on the app, instead of FaceID? You can do this in the app by going to More > Settings > Biometrics. We’d be interested in hearing what you’re experiencing when the calendar or timesheet opens in a separate tab, as we do have those features built-in to the app. If you’re willing to provide more information, please speak to your Payroll Administrator and request that they reach out. My company has just signed up with Payworks a few months ago, we’ve all had problems with Payworks. It tells us unexpected error occurred please uninstall app and reinstall. Way too many crashes people cannot login or log out. Please have this issue fixed.

The company switched to Payworks three months ago, and it has been a disaster ever since. The app is extremely user-unfriendly. There are no group chats, no team communication features, and viewing other employees’ schedules requires unnecessary effort and constant navigation.

On top of that, the app crashes regularly on my iPhone 16 Pro Max, and I have to reinstall it almost every month just to get it working again. The system also seems to go down at least once a day.

Overall, the experience has been very disappointing, and the platform feels like a significant step backward compared to what we had before.
Updated answer: so far it crushed once, but all of above what I mentioned is still going on

This app is ineffective. Can never log on. Says email and password are wrong. But they aren’t as I can log in on the website. Also, putting in your hours is a pain and not user friendly.

I wrote a review not too long ago saying how the app was improving, I was wrong. I’ve had to delete and reinstall this app 8 times in the last month and a half. For some reason every once in a while when you try to open the app it says “an unexpected error has occurred please delete and redownload the app” there’s no way around it. Please try to fix that.
