Just want a clip portion in app for me ### 4/5 — This is everything I hoped it would be and more. Updated Review 2026 - Downgrade *2026-01-21* The UI is well designed and intuitive. It is easy to upload videos recorded on my phone and check the status of the upload and processing progress. The option to see stats as an Overview, as a Team, or as player is amazing. When using shot explorer navigation to the correct player and viewing shots is a breeze with the filter. Needs a little fine tuning on shot names but gets it right most of the time. The overlays help focus the viewers attention and provide feedback as to how the AI is analyzing the video. At times the overlays tend to disappear and don’t come back on until I restart the app. Sharing the video with others easy and viewing the video without the app is a great feature. They are open to feedback and suggestions for improvements. By far this is my favorite pickleball video review app. Updated Review 2026. I’m downgrading the review because there are bugs doing basic things like watching on repeat, adjusting playback speed, and contacting support in the app. ### 4/5 — Tutorial does not work and disables the app *2026-01-14* I love the interface and AI works very well but when you try to do the tutorial for the extra 360 minutes, it says to filter, but you can't filter because there's no filter button that it's pointing hands and you can't skip that step or get through it on the app or website I tried both which is very upsetting. **Developer response:** Can you reach out to support@pb.vision from your account so we can fix this bug? Sorry for the trouble ### 3/5 — My data doesn’t leave with me *2025-05-26* From the privacy policy as per 5/25: “If you request to delete your account, your account will no longer be associated with the videos you have uploaded, however we will retain the videos for continued use in training and improving our AI model.” I would like an option where my videos are not retained. ### 5/5 — Great alternative to Swing Vision *2024-09-04* I’ve enjoyed my experience with PB Vision immensely so far. The ease of use of the app, not to mention free membership, makes this my go to app for match analysis. Hope they succeed ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — One time free train showed NOTHING *2026-08-15* I used trial, posted exactly what’s been told, then, the AI said “not enough to rate you” for full 30min match. And no more free trial. I just gave away my face recognition rights, and my games and play to make AI better while I get nothing. **Developer response:** Yikes, you don’t give away your face recognition right. Was it a singles game or multiple games? We just do doubles, one game only so the full thirty might have messed it up. ### 1/5 — It doesn’t work *2026-02-15, version 3.2.1* On my 1 hour video, it identified only two players which were warming up. No hint for the actual match. ### 1/5 — FREE USE LIMIT *2024-10-05* Thought this was pretty misleading. The app is great but nowhere at this time does it say there are in-app purchases. There is also a free use limit and at this time it says you need to contact support in order to get subscription pricing. I’m guessing this is how they are getting around saying there is “in-app” purchases as you have to get in touch with the company itself to subscribe. **Developer response:** Sorry, we were later than expected on enabling subscriptions on iOS. The release is out that enables subscriptions! ### 2/5 — Only can use the back camera *2026-07-08* It doesn’t have the option to flip to the front camera **Developer response:** If we had this, would you rate us > 2 stars? ### 2/5 — High hopes poor execution *2026-04-27* I had high hopes this would be better than another AI pickleball app. The graphics are great, feedback is good but as it turns out, there is no remote for the watch, you can only record 20 minutes at a time, meaning that you have to remove and turn recording off on your device after each and every game. Does not analyze any video over 20 minutes. And if there is ANYTHING wrong from the start of the video, it will not analyze the video. You get your minutes back but the constant back and forth of starting and stopping video manually on your phone and making sure it is perfectly set each time makes it not worth the subscription yet. **Developer response:** It should be 30 minutes for the restriction on upload length. Can you let us know where it shows 20 minutes so we can fix that? support@pb.vision . Yeah sorry we don’t have Apple Watch control yet, hopefully someday! ### 3/5 — Better focus on iPhone needed *2026-04-18* I love this app. It works well the majority of the time. I am a top tier subscriber and user. My biggest comments for when this app fails are when the iPhone camera (16 Pro max) and it loses focus and records whole game out of focus. Also have noticed that night time recordings with court lights often fail from side view when using insta360 ASE pro 2 camera. Works fine during daylight **Developer response:** Regarding the iPhone camera issue— I have the same device but haven’t ever seen this out of focus behavior. Can you reach out to support@pb.vision when it happens next? It will send us the logs so we can try to fix it. ### 3/5 — Keep swinging *2026-02-20* Why is the app so skinny? Like 3” max wide on my iPad…feels claustrophobic. Now, on performance, fantastic 1st impression but that wears off quick. It does feel like 1st gen AI. I want something more than some really nice graphics and historical stats. I want a live experience—imagine practicing your serve and hearing the ai evaluate each one as they happen, including a video of your swing overlay the benchmark swing, and make that data come alive. Anyway, despite my expectations you should try this app for yourself, its still cool and a glimpse of early AI applied to sports **Developer response:** Sorry we never built out proper iPad support. I’ll speak with the team on it. Edit: we now have iPad Support! One thing you could do is try the app on a laptop from the browser or browser on your iPad vs the iOS app. I personally only record through the app and review on my computer. ### 3/5 — Cannot correct AI errors and video repeat capabilities don’t work- Updated Review 2026 - jan31 *2026-02-02* The UI is well designed and intuitive. Video goes black and playback errors are occurring. I selected a highlight and waited 15 minutes, and the video did not play. When the AI gets something wrong, there is not a manual way to fix it. The fact that it cannot be corrected makes all the game stats wrong. **Developer response:** Sorry to hear this. Please get in touch with me on support (I’m Ryan) so we can work through these bugs. They should be quick fixes 🤞 ### 3/5 — Cool Idea, needs work *2026-01-04* I love the concept but dislike the model. It’s unclear how the pricing works. It wasn’t able to distinguish points vs random touches of the ball. It couldnt follow a side change. It’s expensive. ### 3/5 — Too expensive *2025-09-23* Great app, I wish it had a monthly subscription and not just a yearly price. I used it during the beta and have a bunch of credits from then, however, I can’t use them unless I have a subscription. **Developer response:** We are able to lower our prices after working on processing costs over the last year. The individual stats (for doubles) are terrific and range from serve speed to depth, same for returns. The AI also analyzes all 3rd shots whether drop, hybrid, drive or lob. Court coverage is also cool to see. The AI is powerful enough to pull out attacks (aka poaches), hand battles, and longest rallies. Make sure the app has complete access to your camera and photos. This is required to use the app to film or to pull the video into the app. Very excited to hear a singles capability is on the way!
