You can easily zoom on the content to read it, which is as well written as ever. Only downsides are you have to subscribe on a website and enter details into the app, be nice to just pay via the app store. Also, so many ads, I get that it's just copying the magazine but it'd be nice to be able to pay to remove them... although I do like looking at all the fancy gaming PCs they advertise ### 2/5 — Why the endless updates? *2015-12-19, version 4.4.1* How many updates/years does it take to produce a simple magazine viewer & library? ### 1/5 — Rubbish App *2015-03-06, version 3.8.1* On iPhone 6, iOS 8, keep crashing. The developer need to fix the bugs. This app is the only app that repeatedly crashes the ipad and forces a hard reboot cycle. ### 4/5 — Good apps with a little more polishing *2014-06-07* I love PC Gamer, even after 10 years when I bought my very first copy. Transformation from hard copy to digital one is not a bad experience for me (at least) aside small fonts and annoying page flipping system. Overall, good apps. ### 2/5 — Good content, poor app - a missed opportunity *2014-03-16* Nothing wrong with the content - PC Gamer has always been a quality magazine - but the app is just a PDF version. No added content, no formatting just for the ipad, no extra pics or videos, which is a real shame considering the Edge app (from the same publisher) shows how good a magazine app can be if you put some time and effort in to making the most of the platform. ### 1/5 — Nice price, poor performance *2014-02-10, version 3.6.5* As per title really, great mag and good price, but it's very slow at moving between pages and loading pages. Active membership fine for subscriptions but standalone purchases generate error code for which the support centre is unable to resolve. Bonkers really from a company that specialises in PC games. ### 1/5 — Deleted all my issues *2017-07-05* I was looking forward to reading PC Gamer on my commute, but alas I have no PC Gamer so I'm writing this review instead. The app told me that because of an "upgrade" (strange - I didn't update the app) I would need to download all my issues again. Sure enough, where previously I had dozens of issues available for perusing, my iPad is barren. Overall score: 15%. Excellent content unfortunately fails to shine due to technical issues in the presentation and failing to make the best of the medium. ### 1/5 — what have they done???? *2017-03-06* I've used this app for years being a digital subscriber, but it's bordering on unusable . The app seems to crash regularly and all my downloaded issues seem to disappear for no apparent reason, requiring them to be downloaded again. This isn't ideal if you work away. I really enjoy PC gamer but I'm seriously disappointed with this app. It needs fixing. ### 1/5 — Never got my codes *2016-01-31* After followed the instructions in the magazine I expected my codes within a couple of days. It's been a month! I'm really mad that I haven't gotten a reply from support! Not great when that's the app's sole purpose. No updates since July 2014 in spite of numerous ios changes. Poor support (I was told to reinstall and reset my iPad each time I wanted to use the app!!). Enough said! *2019-01-02* As above. Actually there is a bit more to say. Stable (using on iPhone), and worth mentioning as people have commented previously on issues around this. Great content and quality as always from seasoned reviewers.
