Did a nice walk around with my calculator and made it to $300. A nice mix of food and household goods. Got to cashier and started to ring it in. $302. Then it said “set to earn, customer cannot redeem.” I then spent over an hr on the phone with customer service, got a new digital card (no physical card now), tried several things and they said they could escalate and wait longer or wait 24 hrs (redemption event over by then). I gave up and had to leave all the items for the employees to put back. All of a sudden it’s not recognized when it’s scanned at the grocery store. I’ve been on the phone with pc support three times now. I’ve deleted the app then reinstalled it, and I’ve even got a new card. That doesn’t work either. It’s been very frustrating and time consuming. It used to be good. It doesn’t matter if you are trying to place an order with a laptop or a mobile device you keep getting kicked out or end up somewhere that makes no sense. How is it that you can’t convert “your list” to an actual order. If you have any sort of coronary disease avoid this app at all cost as you run the risk of checking out in more ways than one. On August 20, 2026, I purchased two pairs of prescription glasses from Specsavers for $99. According to the promotion, I was supposed to receive 50,000 PC Optimum points for this purchase, but the points have still not been credited to my account. Since this issue is related to PC Optimum, I contacted PC Optimum directly on August 20 to explain the situation and ask about my missing points. However, no one has responded to my message or provided any assistance so far. When a program advertises an offer to customers, I expect them to honour the offer and provide proper customer service when there is a problem. I have to wonder if this is intentional on behalf of PC Optimum. If PC is expecting customers to check every time whether they received their points, this seems disingenuous, as if PC hopes people don’t check so PC doesn’t have to give away as many points. Perhaps they are hoping for a class action lawsuit? It would be more transparent, fair, & customer-focused if all available offers loaded automatically every week (even without opening the app). Also, the app should double-triple check that all points were given! As it is, the app feels programmed to randomly skip points and hope customers don’t catch it. The app should also put all offers in a succinct list (like they are when I initiate a points inquiry). I shouldn’t have to click 10 different places in the app to see offers and “load coupons”. This is a great app, and it’s awesome to save up the points and spend them for the holidays. I save them up, then spend them on groceries for camping/road trips.
