### 4/5 — iOS26

*2025-09-28, version 3.14.2*

After updating to iOS26, the X Register no longer appears under the Apple Watch icon.

It's fixed! Thanks!!

### 4/5 — Update ruined it

*2025-09-13, version 3.14*

What did you do with my calculator? I loved this app. The latest update completely changed the look that I now can’t get back. Why?!?

### 5/5 — What I need.

*2025-07-21, version 3.13.1*

This has a lot of features, but the features I regularly use are easy to find, and not hidden. It’s great that it’s available on all my devices.

### 5/5 — SUPERLAPADUPER

*2025-07-20, version 3.13.1*

This phenomenal app gets used by me daily, I don’t see any possible way it could be any better. Anyone who gives this less than 5 stars has completely lost their mind!

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2025-07-11, version 3.13.1*

This review is from my son who loves this app too! He has requests: Can you please add a ton of more customization options for examples change the shape of the buttons of the calculator and please add the option to change the color and choose your custom gradient of the numbers on the calculator and add custom gradients for the calculator and please add an option to choose your background of your calculator and please add an option to make the calculator in a outline border and add more font options and add more swiping gestures for example 2 3 or 4 finger to swipe up down left right for actions

### 5/5 — Great

*2025-07-10, version 3.13.1*

Everything I want in a calculator, plus more. Looks beautiful, and I can customise the keyboard.

### 4/5 — Fantastic calculator

*2025-06-05, version 3.13.1*

It’s a great calculator that has so much flexibility. Hats off to the developer. I only wish the universal purchase included the Mac version. They offer the app on the Mac as a separate purchase. $10 is already on the high end for a utility app (although worth the price). I just can’t bring myself to pay it again to have the same app on the Mac.

### 5/5 — The. Best. and. Final. Calculator. Period.

*2025-05-31, version 3.13.1*

The calculator I had been using was improved and turned into useless silicon for me. So for the fourth time in ten years I was hunting for another calculator. My needs were simple, requiring only an easily addressable memory, adjustable decimal places, parentheses or RPN, and a tape that I could save. Being able to set my own color scheme and key shape/size were bonuses for eye comfort and large hands. That w BBC as my list for daily needs. As an engineer turned programmer I appreciated a big set of functions and extended customization, but for my daily at-home financial needs I had what I wanted. And three times that had been pulled out from under me.

I don’t know how In my technical career that I had overlooked PCalc, but it had eluded me. Until this year. Ten minutes into my first playtime I realized I had hit the holy grail of numeric manipulation. Would it pass one last test? It needed to support split-screen and slide-over modes on my iPad. It did it better than I ever anticipated! Rotate the iPad to portrait and I’ve made it match my iPhone. Turn to landscape and I get my own customized scientific calculator. If that’s not enough, it has user-defined functions, constants and conversions! Along with registers, I’m able to replace a straightforward spreadsheet that I use every business day. A few custom keys and functions and memory is all filled in and ready to go.

Don’t be scared of all the advanced stuff — and there is a lot more. If you use it right out of the box, it will still be your best and final calculator. There is no cost, so please remember to pass by the tip jar on the way out.

### 5/5 — 好

*2025-05-30*

okok

### 5/5 — The best

*2025-05-04, version 3.13.1*

The best calculator in the world

### 4/5 — Best RPN so Far

*2025-04-17, version 3.13.1*

I've been looking for a solid RPN calculator since switching from Android (realCalc was my go to). I can't stand the old timey/emulated look of other RPN calculators I've tried. If I wanted that I would get a real one. This app is nice and clean and just what I want. The have only thing it's missing right now is a control shortcut but I'm gonna look for a workaround.

### 4/5 — Please add dark mode icon!

*2025-02-09, version 3.13.1*

This has been on my Home Screen for years now and is way ahead of the pack even with the new iOS update but please add dark mode icons!
It’s the last app on my home screen without one.
The app itself is amazing and I can’t see myself using anything else but this does bug me.

### 5/5 — Excellent until iOS 18.3

*2025-02-05, version 3.13.1*

This is an excellent app. I created a GUI which looks like red LED’s. Unfortunately after I updated to IOS 18.3 the buttons are kind of crazy stacked over each other. The button with the 4 I cannot see because the 5 is over it.
Dear team: Can you fix it?

### 3/5 — Good though Missing Accessibility and Widget

*2025-01-25, version 3.13.1*

Very customisable but still missing a button to toggle speaking function on & off from the layout editor.

Also this calculator doesn’t have a widget for use on the Home / Lock Screen. Yes performance wouldn’t be great, but for quick calculations without unlocking or opening an app it would be useful.

Sadly still not one calculator to cover all my needs but this gets the closest.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2025-01-16, version 3.13.1*

An excellent calculator that allows multiple features to customize to your needs. Simplify it to make it an improvement over the standard Apple calculator. Turn on features to make it fit your exact needs. Always on the home page of my phone.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Too hard to read

*2026-05-02, version 3.14.4*

PCalc is powerful, but the UI is a mess. Themes are bright and distracting, and there’s no way to get simple high-contrast text across the keypad, tape, and buttons. Fix one area and another becomes unreadable. Basic readability shouldn’t be this hard.

### 1/5 — What happened?

*2025-09-07, version 3.13.1*

Since roughly a year, the widget disappeared & the layout in the app itself looks totally messed up.

Are you going to update this app, or can I deinstall and never bother giving you money again?

### 1/5 — hex limited to 48 bits in a 64 bit era

*2025-06-11, version 3.13.1*

why the limitation?

### 1/5 — Freeze the phone

*2025-04-07, version 3.13.1*

The app has been freezing the phone for the past few weeks. It becomes quite annoying

### 1/5 — Great calculator, needs update to restore widget. Edit, saw your update. Widget mandatory!

*2025-02-19, version 3.13.1*

Widget no longer working with iOS 18.

### 1/5 — Widget Disappeared With iOS 18 🤷‍♂️

*2025-01-13, version 3.13.1*

The widget disappeared with the update to iOS 18. I understand it’s a technical issue, and you’d need to re-implement it with the latest widget paradigm. I got it. But, I literally paid money for this. It’s a tool I need. And hey, I don’t even expect infinite unlimited support — I’m willing to pay again. Another $5, or $10, or $20? Seriously, not a problem at all 🙂 But I need my dang calculator widget on iPhone and iPad back. Life just hasn’t been the same 😕

### 1/5 — NO DARK MODE ICON

*2024-09-22, version 3.13.1*

NO DARK MODE ICON. ADD IT.

### 1/5 — Horrible excuse for a scientific calculator.

*2024-08-24, version 3.13.1*

Can I get my money back.

### 1/5 — Hides history

*2023-08-06, version 3.12.2*

No easy way to see history, which is the only reason I paid for it.

### 1/5 — No complex number support.

*2023-03-01, version 3.12.1*

I bought the app based on the reviews comparing it to the HP 48G. After I bought one of the first things I did was take the square root of -1, it gives an error. If you don’t need functions of complex numbers and like RPN then maybe? It’s of very limited use for me.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — The best calculator app

*2026-04-13, version 3.14.4*

I was looking for a calculator with support for RPN and conversions. This one checked boxes I didn’t even know I had! Amazing customizable interface that’s quick to learn, lots of options, and endless conversions and useful functions. An example of how to make a powerful app that works excellently on an iPhone.

### 5/5 — 👑

*2026-03-15, version 3.14.4*

This is the crown jewel, stop looking.

### 5/5 — Keeps getting BETTER. Best!

*2026-03-14, version 3.14.4*

Used for years. Reliable. Simple understandable display. And year after year keeps adding _useful_ features. Latest is woodworking fractions. THANK YOU

### 5/5 — Outstanding App

*2025-11-04, version 3.14.3*

Thanks for all the hard work.

### 5/5 — Need a calculator with more features? Look no further.

*2025-10-29, version 3.14.3*

This is the pinnacle of Calculator apps on iOS. The only way could be better is if I could play games on it, like I did on my old Ti-85 in high school 😉 (check out “About by PCalc“ for some delightful surprises)

I’ve customized my calculator layouts very nicely, though I do wish I could more easily synchronize those (and other settings) between iOS and Mac versions.

Bottom line:
If you ever wished the built-in Calculator app could do a bit more… Or even a lot more, then get PCalc!

### 5/5 — Consistently great well maintained

*2025-10-11, version 3.14.2*

Used an my only RPN calculator for many years. Nice interface, extensible and well maintained.

### 5/5 — The best

*2025-09-30, version 3.14.2*

Look no further for the most functional calculator on your device. Great job.

### 5/5 — ❤️

*2025-09-29, version 3.14.2*

Best calculator app period.

### 5/5 — Still the best calculator app out there!

*2025-09-20, version 3.14.1*

Pcalc has been a staple on every iOS device since it was first released. If I had any complaint, the modern LCD font is too bold. We need a standard version of this LCD font too…just sayin. ツ

### 5/5 — Hey what up?

*2025-09-15, version 3.14*

Can you guys told me, please, why you erase my microchip icon?
