The crop window (grey area) is rotated to landscape by default. I haven't found anywhere how to rotate the crop window to suit the actual need, as the app has NO settings in the menu. So only the features one has on the screen are available. One option is to rotate the entire pdf document to landscape before cropping, but even then it just doesn't work properly like it used to. ### 4/5 — Needs more options *2024-10-30* In order to make it more practical please add several other options like crop odd pages only or even pages only also crop certain pages with certain numbers ### 3/5 — Useful app. *2023-12-23, version 2.1.0* But the customized option of cropping don’t work. Just wish I could zoom in better. On really long screenshots its extremely diffucult to see what Im doing. ### 3/5 — It's ok *2021-06-18* It does the job, but the user interface feels clunky. For example: - There is no File → Open dialog. You need to go to a button somewhere. - You can crop, but it doesn't automatically help you crop by snapping to the first pixels when getting close to it. It's all manual in a tiny window that cannot be enlarged. - Even after painfully choosing your crop, you cannot store it as a preset. So you have to do this for every file. - There is also no File → Save dialog. I had to right-click a filename in the left panel of the UI, then click "Share" and that opened a file save dialog. ### 3/5 — Size limit by design or bug? *2021-04-26* I have been using this app a few times recently and it has worked well, however today it didn’t. I set the cropping mode to unlimited so I could crop a receipt down from a full page scan. It wouldn’t allow me to crop the whole receipt. Unlimited should allow me to set my own dimensions but no. I even tried Custom to extend the length. Doing that, shortened the width as I increased the length. Not unlimited therefore not useable. ### 2/5 — A Waste of My $1.99 *2020-11-10* The app is very limited in its ability to crop. You are offered options to crop to the size of various device screens, or to specify a dimension, or to do any of a number of “unlimited” size cropping, but that does not work well if you do not know the dimensions of, let’s say, of a part of an article you want to preserve in crop. And if the article is very long, as in a web page that was saved as a PDF, you are unable to zoom in on the article to even see where you want it cropped. I am very disappointed. ### 1/5 — Bad App *2020-08-19* I just paid $2 for this app and it will import and crop a document, but I cannot export. Every time I click the export button the app crashes. I have tried this multiple times. On top of this I cannot find a way to contact the developer. I want a refund! This app is useless! **Developer response:** Hi dlbeckjr，sorry for the problem. The PDF is not truly cropped; the application only adjusts the viewing area. Therefore, the actual file size is not reduced. I am requesting a refund through the usual process. ### 1/5 — The crop app does not work *2024-03-28* I was trying to avoid the Abobe products to just crop a pdf and I bought this. This app does not work. Completely buggy. Avoid at all costs. I bought it to crop an 8-page document which someone scanned with too much black around the margins. I would crop a page no problem, but the pages don’t STAY cropped; by the time I finished page 8, the first few pages had gone back to the way they were. They’re no way to “save” the cropping. Zum Verrückt werden! Danke! Bitte TOP und BOTTOM in der SYMMETRIE prüfen! The inclusion of pre-set page ratios to fit Apple devices is a bonus. Note that the cropping doesn’t actually delete the bits outside of the crop - it simply makes them invisible to PDF reader apps. In this it works just like cropping in MacOS Preview. Works like a charm for extracting a figure from a PDF page and inserting it into a note-taking app. Which is super-important in technical readings. ### 5/5 — Perfect! Does what it should. simple and efficient *2020-10-09* This app is a godsend for me, a student gone paperless with GoodNotes. I can now crop the pages to have just the right width so that my pages won’t wobble due to inconsistent width, and crop pages to the perfect length as well, to leave out any information I don’t need, which saves me a lot of time from scrolling through the needless margin. I saw the negative reviews and thought that’s weird... Maybe this app came a long way though the versions. I just came at the right time to scoop up the most refined result. It has options to crop all pages by the same selection at one time, or to crop single pages within a multi-page PDF file, and I have use for both.
