### 4/5 — Works awesome, but unexpectedly deletes PDFs from their location

*2022-11-05*

The app reflows text in a great way which makes it very easy to read journal publications that are hard to read in their two-column format with tiny text.

However,
The app deletes PDFs from where they are stored, which is an unxpected and unwanted behavior. It was difficult to recover them, and I never want this to happen. Can you make the app so it does delete my files?

### 3/5 — Could be really good

*2020-02-28*

The app has no contents or bookmarks option and also does not remember last read page and also cashes a lot. These two features would make it much better other than that it’s ok.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not practical

*2023-05-17*

Waited almost a year so developer will fix bug and will update so I can give it better rating but seems developer not interested in app. App is glitchy , doesn’t perform same with all types of pdf , consider TEXT in some pages as image and in other pages as TEXT. unable to scroll few pages vertically as its fitting them horizontally. Bought it so it can be used in split window on 10.5 screen iPad but no use .

### 1/5 — Poor execution

*2022-08-08*

Good idea Poorly executed. The reflow does not work with many scientific pdfs, you just end up scrolling horizontally. It doesn’t work well with the images as it crops them and you lose content. You cannot highlight the pdf. As is, the app is not worth it. The developer needs to put more effort to develop the app. I was expecting to see some deep learning for the app to “smartly” recognize the pdf structure, the app is not anywhere close to “smart”.

### 1/5 — Totally Basic and Pretty Rubbish

*2022-05-17*

If you have a PDF book to read:
1. There’s no index or bookmarks so there’s no way to navigate
2. You can’t change text size
3. Takes ages to load book
4. Indents and other formatting messes up the display so you can’t read it.

All in all pretty rubbish, but give credit to the creator as their making money for something I deleted almost instantly. Would love to get a refund but I’ll console myself on going out of my way to make sure no one else will download it.

### 1/5 — Not better

*2020-03-19*

1/2 Dozen or the other. This doesn’t help make it easier to read a pdf document on mobile device.

### 1/5 — Crashes when you import a pdf

*2019-05-24*

Just bought this but can’t use it for the purpose intended (and advertised) I.e reflowing a short 48 page pdf

**Developer response:** Please try the latest version.

### 2/5 — A LITTLE FRUSTRATING

*2026-06-11*

The app. I just bought it. But it can’t highlight. And I can’t bookmark. That makes it really less useful

### 2/5 — No Bookmarks?

*2025-01-22*

Pretty nice app but a reader without bookmarks is a pretty grave omission.

### 2/5 — Needs improvements

*2020-05-20*

Reflow is good. However not of much use reading pdf files. the app needs to remember last page read. There ought to be navigation of pdf files by bookmarks. There is no custom font size selection. If the developer at least add last page remember then of some use otherwise just wasting of money on this app.

### 3/5 — If only it held your place in the PDF

*2025-08-04*

The app does a very nice job reflowing the text of books and articles in PDF format. However, its usefulness is really undercut by the fact that it doesn’t hold your place in the text. Every time you reopen a PDF it takes you back to page one. If the devs find a way to resolve this it will be the perfect solution for reading long PDFs on iPhone, but for the time being the reading experience is quite limited by having to manually navigate back to your place in the text.

### 3/5 — Amazing, but lacks pdf viewer features

*2022-06-01*

Initially a 5 stars because this is soooo useful, but then realized that it is far from usable because it doesn’t remember the pdf you were reading, or where you were in the doc. It’s exhausting to reopen the pdf and wait for the processing to work and then find the page you were on every time you want to read something. I can do without highlighting but this is tablestake

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Now with highlights!

*2026-04-07*

Incredible I can also highlight the reflowed pdf papers and see all images and tables perfectly

### 5/5 — Great pdf reader

*2024-09-14*

Reflows really well. Has dark mode. Only pdf reflow app that doesn’t get confused with watermark text.

Only wish it had highlighting.

### 5/5 — Works really well!!

*2024-08-13*

I’m a heavy academic researcher. I process 2,000 papers for CVPR each year, so I see a lot of PDF files.

This app is great! It isn’t perfect - no app that does this can be — but it gets darn close. Figures are somehow segmented and presented separately, and it even works with two-column PDFs emitted by LaTeX! Well worth the asking price.

There are some issues. In particular, papers under review tend to have line numbers on the margins of each line, which are sometimes relieved with the text in a way that’s hard to read.

Still, I personally believe this domain isn’t really possible to self completely, and this app gets darn close

### 5/5 — Very useful app

*2022-05-31*

I’m so impressed with this app! It’s well designed and very dependable! Please keep up the great work!

### 5/5 — Excellent app for reading PDF on phone

*2022-04-03*

Reflowing PDF text so it’s readable on small devices is a challenge given they’re often print first and come in a range of formats. This app does a great job of it. Much appreciated!

### 5/5 — Amazing app, highly recommended

*2020-12-28*

This is really an amazing app. I really wonder why it is not more popular. As a PhD student, I have been looking for an app that would allow me to read research papers in split view and mobile. As most of the paper I read have lots of math, I was never satisfied with all other readers with reflow ability as they cannot successfully reflow math expressions. This one can! It is the best reflow app I used, not only on mobile but also on my Mac. I highly recommend it!

Only issue I have sometimes is that the AI adds an unnecessary linebreak inside a sentence, thinking that a new paragraph has started (and sometimes does the opposite). It is really a minor issue, but if that could also be fixed the app would become perfect.

Edit: Nice to see the app getting updates. I am wondering if there are any plans to add an option to export the text. It would be amazing to be able use this app to convert pdfs to epub or other formats. It already performs much better than any other converter I used, especially for text with math and figures.

**Developer response:** Thank you! Version 1.8 should work better with figures, and I'm working on better grouping math formulas too.

### 5/5 — Best PDF reflow app for reading magazines

*2020-05-15*

I have only recently discovered this little gem of an application after spending money on other apps that have ‘ PDF Reflow’ options and not being happy with the results.

My use case is for PDF based magazines that are often tricky to navigate on an iPhone. This app formats the magazine perfectly for me to read my while on my commute.

There is always room for improvement, my only request would be to see a wider variety of font size options.

### 5/5 — Great read for PDFs

*2019-05-20*

Often I need to read PDFs and its format is not adapted to mobile.
This app readjusts the size of the font and its layout so I can read it easily. The app also saves the reformatted PDFs automatically.

### 4/5 — O melhor que encontrei

*2026-04-20*

Testei vários que prometiam fazer o reflow, mas este foi o único que apresentou resultados decentes.

### 4/5 — Pretty nice app, but….

*2023-09-12*

Needs a way to set bookmarks, so I can come back to my location later in long PDFs.
