### 3/5 — Day 2! Love it so far

*2023-09-17*

Don’t have to be tech savvy and it’s perfect for what I need. ❤️

### 3/5 — Good app with a major flaw

*2023-09-06, version 1.4.4*

I really appreciate that this app gives me a space to track my hunger without all the bells and whistles of other apps. Hunger tracking apps that ask for excessive details feed into the obsessive aspects of my eating disorder. This app allows me to seamlessly integrate hunger tracking into my day without giving me any opportunities to obsess over data and macros, etc.

The one fatal flaw in the app is the UI. Exit buttons are small and located on the very edge of the screen, so navigating the app can be very frustrating. Often I have to force quit the app just to get back to the main menu. If this issue was addressed this would be a great app.

### 3/5 — Not scaled for IPhone14 Dynamic Island

*2023-03-04, version 1.4.4*

I’m unable to navigate the app, I’m on the Iphone 14 pro max, which comes with the new dynamic island, and it’s as though the back button and exit button are placed just too high and I can’t click them to exit or navigate. I want to love this app but being unable to navigate it makes it difficult :(

### 3/5 — Needs better editing options

*2023-01-10, version 1.4.4*

I’m not sure if I’m missing something, but for a paid app there should be options to edit entries and days. There are so many times when I’ve pressed a button wrong or something and been unable to edit my day, or have accidentally started or ended a day with no way to go back and edit. Incredible concept, not the best execution. I hope the devs can work this out

### 4/5 — So helpful!

*2021-12-14, version 1.3.11*

This app helped me get in touch with my hunger and fullness cues. Staying in the Grey really helps me feel content and confident in my food choices.

### 5/5 — So Helpful

*2021-05-18, version 1.3.10*

The Peace with Food app as helped me to find freedom with food and my body, and to leave the diet culture behind. It has helped my body to find its own natural Rhythm with food. I’m no longer bound by food or afraid of it. No more binging, restricting or dieting. FREEDOM! Thank you Peace with Food!

### 3/5 — Meh

*2021-05-05, version 1.3.10*

So, I wrote a review for this app a few days ago, but can’t seem to find it now 🤔 The 3 day trial is not really a trial because you don’t get full access to the app, so there’s that. The paid version of the app is very expensive for what it is, however I was a sucker and bought it 🤦‍♀️ The “check-in” and “Eat” feature aren’t that different, except for the Eat feature has 4 mantras, if you want to call them that 😏 that float by in the screen, “Taste” “Go slowly” “Be present” and “Food is a gift” that’s it. You press stop when you’re done eating. Both the Check-in and Eat features need a few more options like, slightly hungry, slightly full, etc. The little dial is super watered down. I swear my 6 year old can write this stuff! There is an option to write notes, by tapping Journal/Connect. This feature is lacking the simplest thing on a smart phone, emojis 🙄 As dumb as it might sound, if I’m writing about my feelings (in my case just to myself), I like to use emojis to help express what I’m writing. You cannot use emojis in this app. I have not yet come across any other app, even as simple as the “notes” app that comes with your phone, throat cannot use emojis. That might not be important to some, but it shows the level of this particular app build...low. The only other features in this app are a handful of videos, which admittedly I haven’t had a chance to view yet and not sure I want or need to and the ability to share your check-ins with “friends”. I thought maybe there was a community within the app or somewhere to you know, connect with others who use the app. Nope. You have to have other friends who use this app if you want to share how hungry you are or not 😂. Okay, to wrap this up, at this point, this app is NOT worth the price they are asking AT ALL. Don’t dumb like me and buy it. That said, I’ve been using it because now I own it 🤦‍♀️ Now for 70 bucks I have a cute squiggly line that shows when I eat and some very bland notes...yay 😒 3 stars is a little generous, but unfortunately I can’t give half stars.

### 5/5 — Wonderful APP

*2020-10-08, version 1.3.9*

I’m so glad to have this app downloaded! I have dieted for more years than I can count! This app is interactive and easy to use! Live videos are wonderful to watch! The fabulous creators of this app love God and love helping women struggling with letting go of the diet mentality.

### 3/5 — Expensive subscription for unwanted features

*2020-08-15, version 1.3.9*

Expensive monthly subscription for unwanted features! The hunger/eating tracker is really nice and I would gladly pay for it as a stand-alone. BUT they want you to pay $9.99/mo for stuff like connecting with others or watching videos from the app founders. I have no interest in those higher-level features but there’s no way to not have them if you want to use the tracker portion of the app. PLEASE consider selling the tracker part as a stand alone one-time purchase. I’d gladly pay for that! I have a therapist and a community so I don’t need to pay extra for those via an app.

### 2/5 — Decent app, but subscription is overpriced

*2020-06-27, version 1.3.9*

I like what the app does and I was really looking forward to it, but $10 a month for logging and graphing how hungry/full I feel throughout the day is a bit much. There may be more features, but the 3 days of the “free trial” don’t really let you see or use most of it.

### 5/5 — Worth it!

*2020-06-24, version 1.3.9*

This app has allowed me to let go of the diet culture that has so permeated my life! I love that you can set how often the app checks in with you, and these check-ins help me stay focused and reflect on how I’m feeling. I have been able to adapt to a more regular eating pattern and the usual feelings of guilt and anxiety around food that I have, have lessened significantly since using this app! The customer service is also incredible, and I always received prompt replies to any emails I sent. I definitely recommend!

### 5/5 — Encouraging & Empowering!

*2020-05-01, version 1.3.3*

This has been the most encouraging and empowering Intuitive Eating App!

Incorporating PwF has brought peace to my mind and heart on my personal journey with Intuitive Eating, something that I’ve been missing for many years. I’m so grateful for this resource.

THANK YOU!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Can’t Access Anything

*2022-12-16, version 1.4.4*

Paid for monthly subscription, and the only clickable option is still the “subscribe” button. If I’m able to use it’s proper function, will happily change to 5 stars, as I previously loved this app.

Thanks!!!

### 1/5 — App not very responsive to touch

*2022-05-30, version 1.4.4*

I had a terrible time trying to use this app. The back buttons and close buttons are tiny x’s and arrows and would not respond to my touch. I have a brand new iPhone 13 pro and all my other apps work great.

### 1/5 — Zero Stars if Possible

*2021-05-11, version 1.3.10*

This app has no ability to help you select good foods, nutritious foods, etc. nothing. It simply assesses your hunger state before eating and after eating. I cancelled within 5 min of buying a quarter’s subscription because I didn’t think any app could be so lacking in basic functionality. Now I am stuck with it for 30 days. I threw my money in the garbage disposal.

### 1/5 — Set up to make it hard to cancel.

*2021-04-18, version 1.3.9*

Where is the unsubscribe feature? Just signed up for the three day trial and can already tell the app is not worth it. There is no place to cancel trial or end subscription. Is this a scam?

### 1/5 — Great concept but poor execution

*2021-02-03, version 1.3.9*

The check-in and eat features alone are what drew me to the app. Not the learn, or the connect features. I wish I could use the check-in, eat and summary features, but after three days the app doesn’t allow you to unless you subscribe. I’m sorry but I don’t think it’s worth $9.99 a month just for the two things I want to use the app for. Since I can’t use it unless I subscribe, I’ll be deleting it. Great concept, but it should provide better options and require people to pay if they want to use the connect and learn features.

### 1/5 — Not free and does not disclose cost

*2021-01-07, version 1.3.9*

I can’t speak to the app itself as I downloaded it and then tried to register for an account. It gave me the option of starting a 2 day trial but offered no information about how much the subscription costs. It probably would have told me if I submitted my information but I am not comfortable signing up for a free trial unless I know how much it costs in case they charge me after it is up. This is very sketchy and bad business practice. I might have even considered subscribing but not if I can’t make an informed choice on the cost. I’m going to try something actually free instead.

### 1/5 — Expensive for Simplicity

*2020-09-12, version 1.3.9*

I’m very disappointed in this app. When I saw how much they were asking for such a simple app, I was shocked. A $3 flat fee would have been worth it for sure. For something geared to help people who have suffered from eating disorders, the creators don’t seem bothered by exploiting the fact that they’re the only ones with this type of resource so far. It’s a simple check-in app - that’s it. Effective yes, but hardly worth the $80 per year (or $10 per month).

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money!!!

*2020-03-04, version 1.2.6*

Ten bucks for a glorified phone alarm. Not to mention that most of the additional support referenced is from faith-based providers. I’m an atheist - so NOT interested in this kind of “support”. This was not clear in the description. Wish I could get my money back.

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money

*2019-10-11, version 1.2.4*

I believed the (probably fake) reviews and bought the app. It’s basically a meter to ask yourself how hungry you are. But if you’re hungry all the time how does this help? It doesn’t. Just another scam preying on people who are desperate to heal their food problems.

### 2/5 — .

*2022-08-19, version 1.4.4*

It was a great app then it removed all my access to it and told me to buy a subscription which was like 15$ a month

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2023-01-08, version 1.4.4*

I am so in love with this app! I have dieted over 40 years, so sad to say. I totally lost any sense of hunger/satisfaction cues. I’ve been trying the last few years to intuitively eat, listen to my cues, be hungry but not too hungry, eat until satisfied, but what the heck was that even like? I’ve been using the app a little over the week and it has really helped already! I watch the clips for support, I love still using my
Phone but in a positive way, I love being reminded to check in, and what check in can look like-for me! It’s helped me, for whatever reason, stop counting up calories in my head-even when I think I’m not stung intuitive, I would always run that totally up in my head. So many ingrained diet rules-ouch! But I finally feel hopeful, and also a sense of community. I think that “sense of community” was a huge thing I needed from things like WW. And the almost immediate support I got when my app was not working at the start-just wow! Do not hesitate for a moment to incorporate this app into your new, peaceful life! You can’t do it wrong, you can use it however works best for you, at any given moment! It truly is Peace With Food! Thank you!

### 5/5 — Gentle and very helpful

*2022-08-31, version 1.4.4*

I am new to intuitive eating. After struggling with body image and food for over 30 years, I finally have hope. It truly is helping me to be more mindful and to recognize hunger. It amazes me how often I leave food on my plate and feel completely peaceful knowing that I can eat again when I’m hungry.
The gentle approach has helped me to extend grace to myself and not force myself to be perfect.
I realized yesterday that I had a chocolate bar in my pantry that has been in there for over a week. This is truly a testimony to how God is using the Peace with Food App to transform my mind and habits. Thank you Megan and Amy!

### 5/5 — Awesome App ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

*2022-04-12, version 1.4.4*

I've experienced many groups and products that claim to be about intuitive eating or mindful eating, only to find that they are mostly just another diet in disguise and not even close to intuitive or mindful eating! I'm usually quite skeptical to try something new. After watching just one of Peace With Foods videos and exploring the app for a bit, it's evident that this the real deal. No diet nonsense here. THANK YOU FOR THIS!!! Another plus is that the developers are highly responsive in the event a question or glitch comes up. I truly feel like a valued customer, which is not something that happens very often anymore. If you're looking to improve your relationship with food and your body I highly recommend this app!

### 5/5 — Just what I needed

*2022-03-22, version 1.4.4*

I am someone who began anorexia at age 15, never got help, and “sort of” healed on my own (at least to the point where my weight was healthy). But my mind has not been healthy in how I think about my body, food, etc. I have four children now and am in my 30s. I desperately long to leave a better legacy for my kids (including three daughters) in teaching them how to live in the bodies we were given with grace, joy, and peace. I read the “Intuitive Eating” book about 9 months ago but just couldn’t implement it because I had no support. Thank you PwF app developers for getting me started on this new journey of healing.

### 5/5 — Top NOTCH!

*2022-03-22, version 1.4.4*

Such a wonderful app, with NO NUMBERS!!! ❤️‍🔥

### 5/5 — This app is awesome!

*2021-07-09, version 1.3.10*

I have spent my life alternating between feast and famine, supreme restriction, control, and abandonment with food. I read the book Intuitive Eating and loved it, but I didn’t fully understand how to apply it. This app has been WONDERFUL in helping me understand how to respect my body, listen to my body, and enjoy food without guilt and without the extremes of starving, over-exercising, or over-eating. The videos and the Learn tabs have been very helpful. Hang in there. It is a process and it takes time to truly intuitively embrace the principles of self-care that intuitive eating supports.

### 5/5 — Very Helpful App

*2021-05-22, version 1.3.10*

Peace with Food truly does what its name says: it gently removes the obsession over keeping every jot and tittle of food rules and gives me freedom from the control that food held in my life. It is simple to use and the developers/founders genuinely want you to succeed. I’m glad I found this app.

### 5/5 — Excellent tool for Diet-Culture Recovery

*2021-05-20, version 1.3.10*

As a an anti-diet practitioner, I love how the Peace with Food app equips my clients with tools for learning to trust their bodies. I love seeing how they feel better in their skin, more confident in their ability to nourish themselves, and more able to learn to identify and listen to their own body’s signals over arbitrary food rules!

### 5/5 — This app HELPS!!!

*2021-05-18, version 1.3.10*

I learned about the Peace With Food app while going through the Lasting Freedom course at FINDINGbalance and it has helped in my journey of rediscovering my hunger cues. 20+ years of dieting and restricting caused me to completely disconnect from my true hunger & fullness signals. I would go LONG periods of time without eating (thinking I was killing it by eating so little) then I’d feel ravenous when my body started screaming for food. I would get to the point of “losing control” and binge... then feel sick, with a heapin’ helpin’ of shame on top. That cycle repeated daily. The PWF app gave me opportunities to check in with myself and my senses, and offered gentle reminders while eating my food to help me stay present. It’s been a difficult, but freeing, journey to find peace around food. Sure, you can set reminders on your phone, but the PWF app offers much more and goes deeper to help you. While this one app didn’t set me free, it certainly played a starring role. I’ve gained support and encouragement by participating in the Facebook group and weekly livestreams; the team is so knowledgeable and helpful in this area... and they’re compassionate and relatable. If you’re looking for an app to help you diet or lose weight, this isn’t for you. PWF is another tool to help you break up with dieting and diet culture. I HIGHLY recommend this app!

### 5/5 — A Lifeline!!

*2021-05-18, version 1.3.10*

This app has been instrumental in allowing me to recognize when my body is hungry and when it’s full. I know this sounds crazy but after years and years of restricted diet eating I lost the ability to know what being “full” felt like. When you start slowing down to ask “am I full yet?” While eating it is eye opening how much damage restrictive eating has done.
No more diet roller coaster.
No more feeling of failure when I can’t stick to some crazy eating plan for the rest of my life.
My body has normalized and my weight is finally constant!
I have lots more energy and have been sick way less. Who knew listening to what our body needs was the key? Imagine that :) It was designed to know.
