## What is Peach?

Life is filled with words, pictures, places, and songs worth sharing. Sometimes, a GIF says it all. When you put these things together, expressing yourself is faster, easier, and more fun. 

Peach lets you share what you feel, think, see, hear, and do—vividly. Peach connects you with friends and gives you freedom, so you can keep up with each other in a real and personal way. 

Peaching is just like texting, but better. Some words you type are magic words that give you quick access to all sorts of things to share, from drawings, links, and GIFs, to the weather, your current location, what you're watching tonight, how many steps you walked today, and much more.

* Post to your profile or chat with your friends privately.

* Need inspiration for what to post? Tap the lightbulb for new ideas every day. 

* Let someone know you're thinking of them by sending a wave, slice of cake, 100, boop, kiss, hiss, and more. 

* Use the magic word “shout” to write a few words (+ emoji) in BIG letters on a background color or image. (Swipe left to add frames for an animated shout.) 

* Use “draw” to post a doodle or sketch. 

* Use “play” to start a game of Peachball.

* Use “song” to share whatever's playing right now. Friends can tap on the song to open it in Apple Music or Spotify. 

* The magic word “rate” lets you give anything—anything!— a 1-5 star rating.

I put my correct login information and nothing happens for 2-3 minutes then I get the message “something went wrong. Try again?” Over and over. Please fix your app (if anyone is even still supporting it) I really enjoy it and if it’s going to be shut down I would appreciate Peach being removed from the App Store so I’m not fooled into thinking it’s still functioning. Please fix this app.

been using this app and journaling my life since i was a kid in 2016, love it more than any social media app before or after, but y’all couldn’t have let us know it was going to be shut down or whatever is happening? none of us had time to save pictures or screen record the past 10 years of our lives, or figure out other ways to find people we’ve been following for years on another platform. if it was shutting down, that’s very unfortunate, but not letting us know is crazy. please at least bring it back, at least briefly, so we can at least save our thoughts and memories if it’s going away permanently. hope this has been some error and it’s coming back, but figure out a way to let all of us know what’s going on

happy to see it still on the app store! and wikipedia even says that last year the dev tweeted it wasn't going anywhere! but the last few times i've tried to access it, it has been down and hasn't loaded anything at all. i'm used to long and random outages (🥲) but this one has lasted a while!! i miss peach!!! please get it up and running again soon? 🙏🍑

* "Live Likes" in chat - Send hearts to your friend in real time. When you're in a chat with someone, double-tap anywhere on the screen to start, then keep tapping to send more. The other person will see your hearts in the exact spot you left them. Pink hearts are ones you receive and dark red hearts are ones you send.

* Videos are now 15 seconds long (up from 6.5)

* We've added a convenient button that lists all the magic words in case you need help remembering what they are. Just tap the magic wand icon next to the lightbulb.

Here's what's new:

* The magic word ASK: Consult the Peach Oracle with a yes-or-no question to divine the future. (Now that there are so many, here's a tip: Use the magic word HELP to pull up a master list of every magic word supported.)

* Sound effects in chat.

* Bug fixes affecting iOS 9.3, waves, and daily question prompts. 

* Found and fixed a bug that prevented blocking a user from a friend request from working.

* No more Friends of Friends. While we're sad to see this part of the app go, we no longer feel it's serving the community. It's been fun, but it's also been a source of abuse. On top of that, it ate up quite a bit of your battery. So in the interest of streamlining the Peach experience, we're cutting it. 

Though, we'll always have our memories.

Now that it's gone, Peach should feel faster.

* CHAT: Start one-on-one chats with your friends. Use magic words and the *new stickers* to chat more creatively.

* OLDER POSTS: Now you can scroll back through everything you've posted, all the way to the beginning. Decide if others can see your older posts from your account settings.

* DRAW W/ COLOR: The world isn't black and white, so now your drawings don't have to be. :-|

* BLOCKING IMPROVEMENTS: You can now block any user from wherever you see them (without becoming friends first). See a list of everyone you've blocked in your account settings. You can also *un*block anyone from there.

+ A few new waves (a.k.a. "those boop things") are now in circulation.
