From the producers of GB Maps (featured in Ordnance Survey's OS OpenData innovative application showcase) Beautifully detailed maps supplied by Ordnance Survey. Peak District Maps provides a useful offline mapping reference and navigation aid whilst travelling throughout the Peak District by footpath, road, rail, canal, lake and river.  Intuitive route and waypoint management features are implemented enabling creation, modification, deletion, import and export of routes. A powerful offline search facility can locate places, roads, post codes and hills within the region.  Worldwide online Apple maps (Standard, Satellite and Hybrid).  Map features that you are used to with Apple maps are available on both offline and online maps as well as providing 3D buildings on Apple maps (where available). Maps 7 different levels of offline 2014/5 Ordnance Survey map detail from national overview to street view within the region. (No data connection required) Progressively more detailed maps are automatically loaded as the map view is zoomed. The OS recommended viewing scales for the more detailed maps are approximately as follows: 1:1000,000 (Whole of GB is covered) 1:250,000 1:50,000 1:25,000 1:10,000 ( Roads/streets are labelled) The map region of the more detailed maps covers a rectangular region around the national park boundary (ref. http://jomosolutions.com/Maps) - Contours with height information and annotated height points - Extensive footpaths from ©OpenStreetMap contributors - National Park boundary demarkation App - Route/Waypoint management. - Offline search functionality with searchable locations (places, roads, post codes and hills). If not already done so, please update to the latest version. Functionality to define custom waypoints and routes as well as route recording has been implemented. Route import/export is also available. For further information please refer to the user guide incorporated into the app. ### 5/5 — Excellent *2020-11-27* I’ve used the Lakes, Snowdonia, Yorkshire and Peak District apps for years now. I never normally leave reviews but was sharing the app with a friend and thought I would. The route mapping is great. I normally use ‘plot a route’ website online to plot my routes then send the route to my phone by email, save to files, then import. You can easily import routes already made online by gpx aswell. I rarely do it but can even plot routes on the app itself. The detail is great. I love being able to pinpoint my location. I can’t fault these apps. I’ve ticked off nearly all the Nuttalls using it. When plotting a route the map will intermittently disappear leaving you with just the waypoints. It’s frustrating as you can no longer see where you’re going! Had very little to no cell service the whole time but navigating wasn’t a problem because the app oriented me perfectly! I’d appreciate an update to improve the UI but that’s small peanuts. Thank you! ### 1/5 — Useless!! *2017-06-04* If these maps are supposed to be sourced from the OS, then I'm really very unimpressed or this App is a con! I purchased this map for walking and trekking the Peak District. The Tissington trail is not even featured! This is a huge popular trail and is rather like omitting the Pennine way! In the end I found apple's satellite view more reliable. This App is so useless, I was forced to get the proper OS map of the Peak District at £24. **Developer response:** We can assure, as stated in the app description, the offline map and most of the search data is sourced from OS. As also stated, the footpaths are sourced from OpenStreetMap contributors and we acknowledge there may be omissions. The app allows import (and export) of gpx files, so if you wish to add routes sourced from elsewhere then this is possible.
