## What is PeakWait?

Live lift waits from skiers on the hill right now, across every mountain, not locked to one pass.
See which lifts are Moving, Short, Busy, or Long, find the shortest wait, and spend your day skiing
instead of standing in it.

• Real waits, never a fake "0 minutes." When we don't know, we say so.
• 116 mountains, one app. Works with any pass (Epic, Ikon, or local).
• Now in Chile and Argentina: Portillo, Valle Nevado, Cerro Catedral and more.
• Where to ski today: the smart pick across your mountains.
• Find your crew live on the mountain.
• Your ski day, tracked: vertical, runs, and your whole season.

Free forever: live status, wait reporting, and finding your friends.
PeakWait Plus adds the smart guide, powder alerts, and your season stats.

Ski the mountain, skip the wait.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2 — 2026-09-07

Ten more mountains, including our first in South America. Portillo, Valle Nevado, La Parva and El Colorado in Chile, Cerro Catedral, Las Leñas, Chapelco, Cerro Bayo and Cerro Castor in Argentina, plus Sun Valley. That brings PeakWait to 116.

Where to ski today and best next chair no longer guess. On a mountain nobody has reported yet, they now say there isn't enough to go on, instead of naming a lift and a wait we cannot stand behind.

Waits are also measured more honestly on the mornings when they build fastest.

### 1.1 — 2026-08-31

Waits are more accurate on busy mornings, when lines build fastest and being a few minutes behind matters most.

Lifts nobody has reported yet now tell you what that hour usually looks like, so a quiet screen still says something useful.

Where to ski and best next chair compare only lifts with a real wait behind them, and tell you when there isn't enough to go on.

Also: steadier readings when your signal isn't.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-08-26

Washington and Montana are on the map. Big Sky, Whitefish, Bridger Bowl, Red Lodge, Stevens Pass, Crystal Mountain, Mt. Baker, Mission Ridge and more, bringing PeakWait to 106 mountains.

Mountain maps now draw the runs, not just the lifts. Thirty five resorts were missing their trails, including Jackson Hole, Whistler and Taos.

The lift list is rebuilt around the only question that matters on a chairlift: which lift do I go to. Each row carries one colour and it is always the wait, every row says how fresh its report is, and closed lifts step out of the way.

Your season now shows where it actually went. Days and vertical for every mountain you skied, the chair you rode most, and your records for biggest day, fastest, highest and longest.

New: the time you did not spend waiting, measured against everyone else who skied that mountain on that day. No other ski app can tell you this, because no other ski app has the crowd.

Joining a crew is easier. You get a name the moment you open the app, invite links add someone in one tap, and you are told when a request is accepted.

Settings are grouped into categories instead of one long list.

Every state is spelled out, lift names read the way the mountain writes them, and wait colours are legible in bright sun.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-08-25

• Sort your mountains by pass (Epic, Ikon, Indy, and more) so you find yours fast.
• A cleaner off-season home that shows exactly when the lifts spin, so you can star your mountains and get notified the day they open.
• Where to ski today is faster and easier to tap into.
• Closed mountains now read "Closed" clearly instead of "No data."
• Smoother leaderboards and stats, plus a batch of polish.
