### 4/5 — Not as good as the site

*2026-01-21, version 0.12.1*

The site is better as the app doesn’t have the full conjugation. (yet) It is great for when u are offline though.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2025-03-27, version 0.12.1*

I started learning Hebrew 2 years ago and this app has been so helpful. I can create favorites and review any time. This is the first tool I onto when I need help

### 5/5 — Absolutely must have for everyone learning Hebrew

Worth every penny

### 5/5 — Recommend!!

*2025-03-17*

Really worth the money - better than any book or website I tried.

### 5/5 — Pealim App

*2025-03-17, version 0.12.1*

Easy to use, organized well

### 4/5 — Amazingly Helpful

*2025-03-15, version 0.12.1*

I’ve been using Pealim for years, told many students in Ulpan about it and overall enjoy the app.

My only wish is that you incorporate the ability to speak the verb so I don’t have to always write. I know it sounds trivial, but when I’m studying it often breaks my rhythm when I get out Pealim and type out the word. Google Translate works well in this situation because I can just press the record button and speak the word in question.

That’s a big request, but it would elevate Pealim to a perfect Hebrew tool.

### 5/5 — Great app for studying Hebrew

*2025-02-27, version 0.12.1*

Easy to look things up on the tables, layout the relationships between words and roots. I use this app all the time studying Hebrew.

### 5/5 — Top Shelf Reference App

*2025-02-09, version 0.12.1*

This is a truly excellent reference app. I'd tried an array of Hebrew dictionaries from the app store, and each left me wanting. Really, I was surprised by the surfeit of inaccuracy and inconsistency I encountered. Imagine my satisfaction and delight at encountering this application that is not only an excellent dictionary in general, but one that can handle most any verb form and provides a list of related words at the bottom of each entry! Thank you very much to the developer for this honorable effort.

### 5/5 — Incredibly useful

*2025-02-09, version 0.12.1*

Most Hebrew students have to dig through dog-eared copies of 201 or 501 Hebrew Verbs only to find that the one they need is missing—or it’s there but they can find it because they don’t already recognize a form of it as belonging to it and thus can’t find it. If they do find it, they need a magnifying glass to decipher it, and many of the books don’t explain the layout of their pages. And then there’s all those times you don’t happen to have the frustrating book on hand. No more! This app solves those problems AND it’s already in your pocket.

### 5/5 — TOP

Bisher habe ich keine bessere App für hebräische Vokabeln gefunden.

### 5/5 — Best app ever

This is even better than the website!! This is my dictionary and grammar book all in one. I can’t express how much I love this app!!!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not working

*2025-02-19, version 0.12.1*

I just paid and installed the App and cannot use it because it doesn't work!

### 1/5 — No traditional feminine future tense.

*2022-02-10, version 0.9.0*

I paid $10 to use an app and they don’t even have the correct forms of the future tense verbs. Just the modern versions with no setting to switch.

### 1/5 — Disastrous!

*2021-04-19, version 0.6.1*

Every time I type a word in it either says it can’t find it or gives me the wrong meaning. Either I am using it wrong or it is crap!

There is only a single interface, nothing like what is shown on the App Store. Absolutely useless.

I want a refund.

### 2/5 — Langue

*2024-03-14*

Pas en français

### 3/5 — Frustrating

*2026-05-31, version 0.12.1*

Great app, but the last couple of months after use the app returns to its setting page and won’t return to its home page. I have to shut down my phone in order to restore it. 3* bc it’s very frustrating.
Otherwise a 5*

### 3/5 — Appearance on the iPad and inability to access list stored in favorites on an iPhone from an iPad

*2026-03-24, version 0.12.1*

App jumps around and resizes after positioning in the iPad. Also can’t access favorites stored on the iPhone from the iPad. Need way to access same favorite lists

### 3/5 — Disappointed

*2024-02-22*

I have been using Pealim's website for a while and when I found the app, I had to buy it. However the content in the app and website are not the same - users should be aware. There are two main concerns that could be deal breakers for future users: 1 the similar words from the same roots are not necessarily the same (more words show up on the website than in the app's "see more"); 2 verb conjugations are shown in the app only for the modern Hebrew forms (if you're interested in classical/biblical Hebrew you'll need to keep using the website). I believe that if the developers could work on these two aspects it would be nice. But as suggestion, if you could improve the "dictionary" side of the app / website Pealim could potentially be the ultimate app for every learner Hebrew-English or the other way around.

### 3/5 — איפה המשקלים

*2023-08-22, version 0.10.1*

My favorite (and most used) feature of the website is the ability to look at lists of words that share the same mishqal! Can that feature be added to the app?
למה אין אופציה לראות רשימת מילים שלהן יש את אותו המשקל?

### 3/5 — Font size adjustment and split screen for iPad support?

*2023-04-02, version 0.10.1*

Can you add font size increase option and split screen? It’s getting harder to read small print.

Thank you

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2026-06-25, version 0.12.1*

Easy to use, fantastic for Hebrew learners. I wish there was a way to turn your favorites into flash cards.

### 5/5 — Best Hebrew reference available in English

*2026-04-10, version 0.12.1*

Pealim excels at showing spelling, pronunciation, conjugation, root form, and primary translation. It has an exhaustive list of verbs (both modern and literary/archaic) and a not-as-exhaustive list of nouns, adjectives, etc. when you search for a word, you also get a list of words that are related (I.e., share the same root).
I wish the developers would update it more often, as there are definitely common words missing, such as some noun forms of verbs or adjectives).
Do not expect Pealim to be your only reference; use Google Translate for long text (sentences, paragraphs, documents), and Reverso to see how words and phrases are used in other texts with a variety of meanings. And use Duolingo for training and practice.

### 5/5 — Excellent app for learning Hebrew

Excellent app for learning Hebrew. Download it today.

Please add an option to display both Hebrew and English simultaneously without scrolling. Seeing both languages together would make learning and comparing translations much easier.

Hope it can be done for us subscribers 😛

### 5/5 — Very comprehensive

*2026-01-05, version 0.12.1*

Enormously comprehensive and useful resource. Better than most grammar books.

### 5/5 — Excellent Study Tool!

*2025-12-22, version 0.12.1*

Learning Hebrew and find myself constantly reaching for Pealim. An essential study tool that functions very well. Don’t normally write reviews, but I highly recommend this app. 👍

### 5/5 — Not worth it

*2025-11-25, version 0.12.1*

You can get Reverso Hebrew for nothing on line and you can speak a phrase of Hebrew into it and have a translated —but this particular application is so extremely limited to just a word. For $15 this application is a joke. I want my money back!

### 5/5 — Must Have

*2025-11-10, version 0.12.1*

What a convenient well-thought app. Invaluable and user friendly

### 5/5 — Essential

*2025-10-29, version 0.12.1*

### 5/5 — Лучшая покупка
