I have to agree with the only other comment here. This app is dreadful to use, the support instructions are almost incomprehensible. I am sorry I purchased this scale.

Beware this does not work with Pearl S version.
In addition, only the app controls the connection to Bluetooth,  you cannot do it from the phone settings.

It has become kind of a running joke that this app is the only one not optimized for iPhone 6+ displays. It has been years now and there is only one version of iPhone not equipped with a larger screen on sale. Frankly, it’s embarrassing for such a high quality (and high price) product to have its signature app being neglected like that. There is no excuse any more for not updating the app properly. If you can’t or won’t do it, let your customers know. We’ll take our business elsewhere next time.

Apple should just remove all the apps that don’t properly support the current screen sizes and resolutions.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD!  This app is dangerous and should be removed from the app store.  It has a high probability of bricking your scale and has no awareness what level of firmware the scale has.  So, it will let you update the firmware even if the firmware is already updated.

iPhone5s excepted. Just so you know if you want to  use the app with your scale you will need to buy the new phone. For me it's don't buy the scale.

This app should be able to manage all of the functionality of the scale in addition to updating the firmware. The notes for the latest  firmware update include mention of being able to enable/disable scale modes however neither this app nor any of the other apps are able to do so. Cycling through even one extra unused scale mode is a terrible blow to the fluidity of user experience. Furthermore, neither scale modes nor any other settings should be managed using the scale itself because of the severely limited nature of its onboard alphanumeric display.

Please reconsider the removal of the long press of the tare button, changing grams to OZ, for the pearl. This is my everyday scale, and it's nice not having to look around for my phone to make the change. Is it possible to leave it as a user option in the Acacia App?
