PearList keeps your household's shared lists in sync across everyone's phones, with no account, no server and no company in the middle. Make a grocery list, a to-do list or a chore board. Anyone in your household can add items, check them off, rename them, assign them and delete them, and every change syncs directly between your phones. Assign an item to a person and any list doubles as a shared chore board. There is no sign-up and no login. You join a household by scanning a QR code or tapping an invite link. From then on everyone sees and edits the same lists. Because PearList is peer-to-peer, your lists live only on your devices. They are never uploaded to a server, so no company can read them, sell them or lose them in a breach. Everything syncs encrypted, directly device to device. The time now moves in quarter hours instead of five-minute steps, so getting to 6:45 takes three taps rather than nine. A reminder already set to something like 6:05 moves to the nearest quarter hour the first time you nudge it. ### 1.0.7 — 2026-08-08 ## What's Changed ### New - Tick it off and it's gone. A new setting makes items leave the list the moment you check them, instead of sitting there with a line through them. A list you shop every week stays as short as what is still to get, however many times you have used it. - It's off unless you turn it on, in Settings under "Lists & aisles". Nothing about your lists changes until you ask for it. - Ticked the wrong thing? You get a few seconds to undo, and the item comes back unticked, ready to buy again. - Chore lists are left alone, so you can still tick the chores off and reset them for next week. ### 1.0.6 — 2026-08-02 ## What's Changed ### New - Use PearList on more than one phone. Link a second phone from Settings and it becomes you, not a new person: your spaces, your name and anything assigned to you show up on both. - Your spaces follow you. Join a space on one phone and your other phone picks it up on its own. - One name, everywhere. Set your name once and it stays yours on every phone you have, instead of changing depending on which one you last used. - Save a copy of a space to a file, and open it back later. Handy before wiping a phone or handing one on. - Remove a phone you no longer have. Take it off your account and it stops seeing your lists. ### Improvements - Removing someone from a space now removes every phone they have, not just the one you tapped. - People show up once in the member list, however many phones they use, and assigning an item reaches all of them. - Give each of your phones a name, so the list of your devices is readable. - Settings sections fold away, so the screen is shorter and easier to scan. - If a pairing was left half-finished, you get a clear "Start over" instead of a stuck screen. - A smaller download and a faster start. ### Security - Your recovery phrase now lives in your phone's own secure keystore, and is kept out of Android's cloud backup. - A phone you remove loses its key to the space, so it stops reading new changes rather than just disappearing from the list. ### Bug Fixes - PearList could open to a black screen and stay there. It now recovers by itself. - A background error could close the app. It no longer does. - Your list of spaces now refreshes straight after linking or removing a phone. - The messages around removing a person or a phone say what actually happens, and no longer promise more than they do or contradict the result. - If you are the owner and using your second phone, you can now manage the space from it too. - An empty space now explains why it looks empty, and you can leave one that will not sync. ### 1.0.5 — 2026-07-28 ## What's Changed ### New - Reminders: set a time on any item and your phone nudges you, even if PearList is closed. - Repeating chores: daily, weekly or monthly. Tick one off and it comes back. - An optional daily nudge about lists with things left on. ### Improvements - Picking a time is a tap now, not a spin: "In an hour", "Tomorrow morning", or exact. ### Fixed - Reminders could arrive silently, or ring on the wrong phone. ### 1.0.4 — 2026-07-27 ## What's Changed ### New - Tidy finished aisles: tick off an aisle's last item and it folds away. Off by default, in Settings. ### Improvements - Better aisle sorting: 346 more brand names, plus fixes for items landing in the wrong aisle. - A lighter app: less to download and less space used on your phone. ### Removed - Local AI. It found the right aisle under half the time and cost a 0.8 GB download. Sorting is faster and more accurate without it, and that 0.8 GB is deleted for you. ### Bug Fixes - Settings now shows the version of PearList you are actually running.
