Sadly, if there is someone messaging you that is SUPER HOT, they are fake. How do I know? Start up a chat and very soon the fake profile will ask you if you have WhatsApp or telegram. They also have poor English grammar. Probably because the scams originate in south east Asia or Russia. Don’t be fooled! 80 percent of the profiles are fake!! Wish it was real . Downloaded it today and purchased 3 months to see profiles of people nearby and found out majority of the profiles are generated as you narrow in your rating system . That app is a Scam ! It’s a mix of tender and bumble except no restrictions , the data collection is enormous! ### 2/5 — Not really the best *2021-10-19, version 3.7.6* You have to pay to see people closer than 150 miles away. Most people you’re seeing aren’t even close to you. Are any of these guys real? ### 2/5 — THIS APP IS SKETCHY *2021-10-16* Everyone that I’ve spoken to on pearup are in a different country, or are catfishing me when they can’t even prove that they’re real people when the conversation starts to get really good. This may be rated highly on the App Store, but as someone who has messed around with the app, let alone on the free version, it just shows what I’m going to expect if I buy the app. Don’t waste your money!! ### 1/5 — Locations *2021-10-04* Sadly, this app has so much potential that is just wasted. It doesn’t let you filter by location, so I’m matching with people not just across my country but across the world. I have no intention of meeting any of these people from Australia or Massachusetts. It costs $5 a month ish to be able to filter by location to sort your matches, which is bonkers. I have gotten over 50 matches on my first day easily, but none of them are in my area. Then, when you’re looking at profiles, the most you can actually filter the new profiles you’re seeing is <150 miles, which is hours away from me. Seriously guys, would it have killed you to make a third box? Even Grindr has more inclusive gender options. ### 1/5 — Worse than Grindr *2021-06-27* I paid for six months of the app, unfortunately. I was invited (without my permission) to a group of gays that shared explicit pictures, which isn’t a huge deal considering what I’ve seen before, but I was trying to be serious. Couldn’t figure out how to use the app properly, messaged help, they never responded. You get matches in seemingly every city except yours, and barely anyone responds. The way the app is set up is confusing and it’s honestly a massive fail for me. I recommend this app for basically anyone looking to meet new people. I don’t view it as exclusively a “dating” app, and believe although the option is there, it’s also a great place to make new friends. The “rating” feature is amazing and unique for these types of apps. It allows you to see guys in both your area and around the entire world. If you plan on traveling, I definitely suggest utilizing this feature to meet people online before you arrive. This enables you to meet potential date, no matter what intent, and allows you to learn about the good spots! I did this when traveling several times, and all I can say is I was very happy and fortunate to have this app. I believe you can get a free trial before upgrading to “Premium”, which will allow you to familiarize yourself with PearUp, and realize why upgrading is not only the best route, but is fair in features and price. Try it out! It’s undoubtedly the best tool out there for meeting new people. I’d just like to add (because it’s happened to all of us), the people on here are way more friendly and courteous. They try to constantly out-do themselves, and will even ask for your opinion or suggestions on any potential changes, but it’s unlikely as this app provides just about everything! 😚 ### 5/5 — Awesome Dating App 👍🏼 *2020-05-07* I honestly wasn’t quite sure what I was exactly looking for when I joined PearUp. I have tried other apps, but I just wasn’t making any serious connections. And, then I met my boyfriend, or eventually to be. We kicked it off immediately and spent the entire night on FaceTime, getting to know each other better. He left for training in the army. We wouldn’t speak again for more than a month; but when we did, it was like coming home. My boyfriend and I have been together for months already, approaching the one year milestone. In that time we’ve both graduated college, getting ready to start our first job and kick off two successful careers. I often catch myself wondering what our lives would look like, had we not connected that one day, that last day before he disappeared for an entire month. The timing couldn’t have been any more perfect, as cliche as that may be. I’m not one to credit an app for my life, but I will say, I’m thankful everyday that I had the opportunity to meet the person I call my other half. That’s exactly what PearUp is - an opportunity. What you do with it, is up to you. With any dating app, there are unsuccessful stories; however, I want people to know, it doesn’t matter how or where you met, what matters is that it’s possible for your love to grow out of the most unexpected of circumstances.
