### 4/5 — Glitch was fixed within 12 hours

*2021-08-15, version 3.9.2*

There was a major glitch that occurred on the app causing me to be unable to use it for the first day of my roadtrip I had planned (and paid for). Nan was very helpful in making sure the problem was resolved in a timely, professional manner. The glitch did screw up the first day of my trip, but now that it’s fixed, the app works perfectly and I am happy to continue to use it!

**Developer response:** Hi Micheal, as per our email exchange, it was a system glitch which was fixed within 12 hours of first occurrence. Really sorry about the inconvenience caused. Nan

### 5/5 — a WOW! This app has it all

*2020-01-13, version 2.11.0*

They’ve thought of almost everything! I just started using it for a weekend birthday trip coming up and am looking forward to using it for my upcoming 22 day trip to London and Paris. Absolutely love the expense tracking, check lists, and document uploading. Is there a notebook or journal area so you can write about the fun things you did or take notes, or is that just in the reservation/note section of each event?

**Developer response:** Hi hi! Yes you are right, reservation/notes section is where you can jot down fun things and your personal notes for each place you visited.

### 5/5 — Easiest Planning App EVER!

*2019-12-26*

Although my partner will claim he plans all our holidays the reality is that I do. Pebblar has made planning our next trip SO MUCH easier. Usually my home office looks like a scene from
Rainman and I get lost in train and plane time tables. Pebblar is going to make me look and feel a lot more relaxed!
We are using the one itinerary subscription and its well worth it!

### 4/5 — Awesome but could use improvement

*2019-12-17, version 2.10.1*

This app and the desktop version are awesome overall however a few things could be majorly improved. On the desktop app, there is no option to sort your big list of activities that show up on the left side of the screen for each city. It would be nice if you could sort by date, or type of activity (I.e food vs attraction). It would also be nice if there were more options to filter the map, again based on type of activity, I.e. all the restaurants saved. You can assign color labels but there’s nothing then that you can do interactively with these labels other than see them pop up on your map. It’s also not easy to shuffle around your itinerary, I.e. if I want to move all my June 4th activities to June 5th, I have to individually click a new date for each activity on the left side panel, which is especially difficult because, again, you cannot sort this panel by date.

Still overall highly recommend but needs lots of improvement!

**Developer response:** Hi there! Thank you for your feedback! Both the sort function and extra map filters are currently being developed and hopefully we will get them to you soon!

### 5/5 — Perfect for backpacking routes with friends

*2019-11-08*

Planning a 40 days 4 countries trip with trains buses and flights scheduled, amazing

### 3/5 — Difficult to use

*2019-07-02, version 2.6.0*

As I was trying to plan a trip I noticed that it wasn’t letting me add more cities to my trip (I’ve only have added two so far).

**Developer response:** Hi Luke, Thank you for your feedback. We actually made significant upgrades since July and it would be awesome if you would try it again :)

### 5/5 — Great travel itinerary app/site

*2019-05-30*

Used the website for a while was delighted to find out it also had an app. The founder is a wonderful person and has demonstrated a desire to always improve their site, as well as maintain the user’s privacy by not including ads which is very important with travel plans. A very useful VERY underrated travel app with many nifty features. :)

### 5/5 — Must have travel app!

*2018-09-05, version 2.1.0*

I have planned my last two international trips using Pebblar and have been thoroughly impressed. I will never plan another trip without Pebblar and will certainly never go back to using Google map stars again! The app is under continuous improvements and the dev team were super helpful to get me back on the go. The option to collaborate is another great feature to help plan your next trip with coworkers and friends alike. Do yourself a favor and try Pebblar!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Can’t access

*2024-12-27*

For some reason I cannot access Pebllar on the app or on the web!! Fix it

### 1/5 — Do not use

*2024-02-11*

“ Dear Pebblar users, we’ve made the decision to wind down operations of Pebblar. You can continue to use Pebblar until 1st May 2024.”

### 1/5 — Couldn't even get past the login stage

*2023-09-13*

Signed up, received an email confirmation. Went to log in to start the journey - nope. Didn't know recognise my login. Delete. Bye

### 1/5 — Doesn’t open

*2021-02-06, version 3.6.1*

The app loads to a screen that tells me there are two kinds of tabs in the app. I cannot click out of this screen and get to the app itself. This is literally all it is.

**Developer response:** Hi there! I am really sorry about that confusion, we will add a swipe icon in the next release.

### 2/5 — Website is far better than the app

*2022-08-16*

The app is difficult to use. Delete buttons are very close to the X (close buttons). App hangs when editing place notes. If Pebblar was judged solely by the app experience then hard to see it survive given the competition in this space.

**Developer response:** Sorry about your experience! I think the editing note issue has been fixed and your other issue of the delete button has been noted :)

### 2/5 — Hard to Read Text and Use

*2022-07-16*

The text is quite small throughout and I don’t have bad vision. You’re forced to create and account before you can even try it and you can’t use apple or gmail etc. I had to try several times to click on the really small sign up text as it was so small and close to another option.

The interface is quite busy and the map never centres on anything relevant. It’s hard to move the map without hitting other things and when you let go it snaps to a different zoom level. It also drew a random straight line between two itinerary points that didn’t even connect them - likely a bug, but fairly major one.

I wanted an app to create a trip from a list of things / places, but this only works if you know your order already so I could do the same with notes and a few map links. I think back to just notes.

### 3/5 — Good but falling behind

*2023-08-12*

Pebblar is my second-favorite app in this category. It does a lot of things right, and I especially like its ability to collect brainstorming ideas and then add them to a final itinerary.

The interface is a bit cluttered and confusing, however, and the app doesn’t quite handle all the fundamentals as well as some competitors. The app has also crashed on me several times, and produces audio feedback for every button click, which can’t be turned off and quickly becomes annoying. The web interface is better than the app in almost every way.

### 3/5 — Overall I’m liking this and the company’s ethos but needs work:

*2022-05-15*

Please make an iPad version as this loads in portrait mode which is useless. But oddly it will sometimes change to landscape. But then revert back to portrait (my iPad is locked disable).

A daily and monthly calendar view so you can see your itinerary by date to adjust how long you want to stay somewhere. It’s easier to work out when you can see the bigger picture as to where you want to go

Should be able to switch destinations around if we discover we want to go to X city first instead of Y.

Would be good to add new destinations in between each other. Eg if you want to squeeze in another place.

Each destination should have ONE edit function to edit all the various things to that destination -method of travel, dates, etc.

Design wise needs work, when I started entering destinations because the keyboard is up the filled in options disappear into the top so I can’t actually select them. I had to go to my browser to add them in

### 3/5 — Pebblar

*2020-08-12, version 3.4.0*

So the concept is great but the app itself is kinda buggy. The UI has panels with instructions that don’t go away. I’ve been using it to plan a 10 Roadtrip. It would be nice if it functioned more like a regular calendar with the map on a separate panel like it set out to do. Also on the computer you can reorder the route much easier.

**Developer response:** Hi there!

Thank you so much for letting us know. We are always looking for ways to improve. We have also noticed a couple of bugs and have since released a new version with those bugs fixed. In terms of your two additional comments, I have sent you an email, it would be much appreciated if you could elaborate a little more on them so we can get those fixed.

Nan

### 3/5 — Double check - this app needs subscription

*2019-11-27, version 2.9.0*

It’s written towards the end of the description that it needs subscription. I downloaded and started editing my trip. The interface is good, looks modern and simplistic. Too bad I can’t use any of it unless I pay money. Though it’s not entirely developers fault, wish Apple marked Apps that require subscription separately.

**Developer response:** Hi Aras. We are really sorry it wasn't made clearer. We are the only itinerary planning tool that offers a complete desktop and web experience plus offline access. Also, you don't have to pay a monthly subscription, you can just pay per itinerary :)

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great for backpackers

*2024-04-13*

This is a great app for backpackers that are going to be going lots of places with lots of different modes of transport. I love this app so much

### 5/5 — Amazing trip planner!

*2024-03-31*

This is an amazing trip planner especially if you have a lot of things in your agenda. I just planned a 9 day wine tasting tour with friends and was able to share the itinerary and map with them without extra work. And honestly the mapping feature is pretty amazing. I will be using this again
Update - planned three more trips with friends and I cannot imagine planning a trip with other people without using this tool. It’s amazing during the brainstorming, scheduling and executing sections of the trip

### 5/5 — Amazing App

*2023-05-17*

Used this to plan our trip, super helpful specially if you are going to a lot of places you’re not familiar with. It helps you group them together.

### 5/5 — Best app

*2022-04-02*

Love this app. So useful. Has everything you need from a travel planning/itinerary app. Could recommend to anyone

### 5/5 — Pretty good

*2021-09-28, version 3.10.0*

If you have used google map trip planning feature, this is the plus version of it!
Easy to use and digest travel info, and they are always rolling out new features!

**Developer response:** HI there! Thank you for letting us know. This has been fixed :)

### 5/5 — Great app for planning a road trip

*2021-05-06*

This is a great app for planning a road trip - I planned my round GB trip using it and it was really easy to use. Also when I had a query and used the “contact us” function, unlike some companies I near enough immediately started a conversation with one of the companies reps.
I made a few suggestions which they said they would take on board.
I’m really happy to extend the trial and pay for the full version.

### 5/5 — Fantastic no-frills app

*2021-05-04, version 3.7.4*

Pebblar is a great no-frills app for travel planning. It calculates mileage between stops, lets you pick your method of travel, input hotels, dining, and points of interest from a database (and I didn’t run across anything that WASN’T in the database). Has a great expenses breakdown chart feature. You can download all your trip data in case you lose mobile service while on your trip. And you can purchase a one-time trip so you don’t have to pay for an expensive yearly subscription like with other travel apps — this is great if you only travel once a year like I do. There is also a companion web app. My favorite feature on the web app is the “print” function, which sounds odd, but it spits out a PDF containing everything under the sun! Maps, daily routes, daily lists, overall itineraries… so great. Developer is extremely responsive to questions and feedback. I’m very glad I found this app for planning my summer road trip.

### 5/5 — Easy and intuitive to plan an itinerary

*2020-04-29*

It’s one of the best tool for travel itinerary planning. Consolidating map view with the travel itineraries and notes in an intuitive and easy to navigate interface, makes the trip planning process less daunting.
The key is to consolidate important notes associated with a particular place and time all in one app.

### 5/5 — Great app and great customer service

*2020-03-25*

Used it for the first time and reached out a couple of times to customer service and my questions where always answers quickly.

### 5/5 — Finally a travel app

*2020-02-10*

I have searched for ages to find a good app. Telling my mates about this one
