## What is Pebbles?

Some days deserve more than a calendar entry.
The day you met. The day you quit. The day the baby's born.
In Pebbles, every one of those events is a pebble - together, they form a path.

WALK YOUR PATHS
- Days since (relationships, sobriety, new jobs, adoptions) + Countdowns (birthdays, weddings, trips, due dates)
- Each path is a scrollable, photo-rich story of the days that mattered.
- In Pebbles, Day 365 is a journey to walk back through, not just a stat.

COLLECT PEBBLES, FILL HOLLOWS
- Drop a pebble on any day worth keeping, with photos, places, and words. Zoom into any photo, or save it back to your library.
- Hollows appear along your path (Day 100, anniversaries, the days worth marking) waiting for you to place a pebble in them.
- Highlight the special ones: a charm for the days that glow, a gem for the days that changed everything.

SHARE A PATH WITH YOUR FAVORITE PERSON
- Sharing is free.
- Share any path with one person: your partner, your best friend, your travel buddy.
- Let them place pebbles too, and you both walk the same path.

AT A GLANCE
- Home-screen and lock-screen widgets keep your most important count one glance away, updated every midnight.
- Everything syncs across your devices via iCloud.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
- No account. No sign-up. No tracking.
- Your memories live in your own iCloud, never on our servers.

ENDLESS PATHS
- Two paths free forever.
- One one-time purchase unlocks unlimited paths. No subscription.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.3 — 2026-10-07

New features
- Paths widget. It's a second home-screen widget in small, medium, and large that lists every path with its count, in Home order.
- Cover photo framing.
- Prelude and epilogue pebbles. A pebble can now be dated before a path starts or after it ends. It shows under "Before the path" or "After the end" with a chip.
- Importance orders the day. Pebbles on the same day now sort gem, charm, pebble. Card size follows importance: a pebble card is compact and a gem takes more room.
- Hollow window in Settings. You choose how many upcoming hollows each path shows: 1, 3, 5, or 10. You also choose how many passed ones: 0, 1, 3, or 5.
- Hollows section in Edit Path stays the same for private and shared paths.

Photo viewer
- Pinch zooms around your fingers, and you can pan while pinching with momentum.
- Swipe down to close, or swipe right on the first photo.
- Photos can be downloaded now.

Fixes
- Background crash. Two TestFlight kills happened when the app suspended during a CloudKit sync. The app now waits for the sync to finish before it suspends.
- Home reorder. Dragging a card snapped it back whenever a path shared with you was in the list. That is fixed, and the position of a shared path stays on your device.
- Adjust Cover on a real phone. The photo would not pan for square or portrait covers. The scrolling sheet was taking the drag, and moving the frame out of the scroll area fixed it.

Smaller changes
- Settings' Endless Paths section keeps only Get Endless Paths. Restore and Redeem stay on the paywall.
- Unused stored values and dead branches were removed, and Xcode builds no longer rewrite the string catalogs.

### 1.2 — 2026-09-06

Pebbles 1.2 is about looking closer.

Photos, up close. Pinch and double-tap to zoom in on any pebble photo, pan around it, and save it to your photo library with one tap.

Pebble, charm, gem. Every pebble has a weight now. Most stay pebbles; mark a charm for the ones that stand out, and a gem for the ones you keep coming back to. The timeline shows the weight right on the path.

A clearer path. Today's pebbles sit right under the Today marker. When a path reaches its end, the big day takes its place in the story instead of waiting below. Fold the hollows ahead away and your planned pebbles fold with them, with a count so nothing is lost.

Learn the words. A welcome tour on first launch, small hints where each word is first met, and a glossary in Settings.

Places that name themselves. Pin where a pebble happened and pick the spot from what is nearby.

Also: a cleaner icon picker, redeem codes for Endless Paths, invite links now live at pebblespath.app, and fixes throughout.
