## What is Peckish?

Most calorie apps make you do the data entry. Peckish just asks what you ate.

Type "oatmeal with blueberries and a latte" and it becomes three items, with calories and macros, filed under breakfast. Photograph a plate and it reads the plate. Correct it the way you'd correct a person — "actually that was a large" — and the numbers follow.

There is no database to search, no barcode to scan, no serving size to pick from a dropdown. That is the whole idea.


WHAT IT DOES

• Log by sentence. In your own words, in your own language.
• Log by photo. Point the camera at dinner; it works out what's on the plate.
• Correct anything by saying so. Remove things the same way.
• It remembers what matters. Tell it your lattes are oat milk once, and it stops asking.
• Ask it things. "How much protein have I got left?" "How did last week go?" It answers from the log you already keep, in the language you asked in.
• Goals worked out for you, from your height, weight, activity and what you're after — not a number picked for the average person.
• Apple Health, both ways: what you log goes in, and the energy you burn comes back out, so a day with a run in it has room for the run.
• A widget for what's left today, and buttons for the meals you always eat.
• Ask Siri to log something without opening anything.
• A weekly note about how the week actually went — in sentences, not a bar chart.
• Your whole log, day by day, with a drawing of everything you ate.
• Backed up to iCloud, so it survives a new phone.
• Export the lot as CSV whenever you want it. Delete the lot just as easily.


ESTIMATES, HONESTLY

Calories from a description are estimates, and Peckish says so where it matters: when it had to guess a portion you didn't give, the portion is marked. Unmarked numbers came from what you actually told it. Uncommon and branded foods are checked against USDA data before it answers.

It is a food diary, not a medical device, and it doesn't give medical advice.


FREE AND PREMIUM

Your first thirty meals are free — about a week of real logging, enough to see the log add up and get a weekly note out of it. After that, Peckish Premium is a monthly subscription that unlocks photo logging, the careful estimate for tricky meals, unlimited logging and the weekly note.

Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. Manage or cancel any time in Settings.
