Seriously low options of pedals. They don’t even have Ibanez! If the just added a few things it’d really make the payment worth it. ### 3/5 — Could be BETTER *2025-08-11* App is decent. Good for basic ideas or an overall sense of sizes. But regarding in depth pedal layouts and organization, all doesn’t quite have the features available to do so. The available pedal catalog is like the pedal humblebrag subreddit with a laughably small selection. It seems like the app is only half completed and the devs are crowd sourcing to finish it at which time they’ll likely relaunch under a different name at a much higher price. Besides, if I have to do that much work to use the app then I might as well use a notebook. ### 3/5 — Meh *2025-02-20* I’ve been using the website forever. And have had great success (except I can’t have custom pedal pics). So I downloaded the app and even paid the $3. Imagine my disappointment when I find that there aren’t very many pedals and when I add custom pedals, the dimensions are WAY off compared to the other pedals. Waste of time and money. ### 2/5 — Limited selection and glitchy app *2025-01-03* App is very glitchy and doesn’t properly let you type in the numbers for the pedalboard size. It also has a very limited selection of pedals available to choose from. For a paid app it should be more built out. ### 1/5 — Buggy *2024-01-30* Paid for the ability to be able to do custom dimensions and I can’t even input my numbers lol Everytime I try and backspace the first digit, it won’t let me. Many pedals are not listed and have to be added as custom, and I am not referring to boutique pedals. So then i will rate 5 star. ### 2/5 — NEEDS MORE PEDALS!!! *2023-06-17* I hoped to replace PedalPlayground with this app because it’s been so buggy and locking up on my phone, plus every time I refresh because it locks up, I keep getting Temu ads. 🙄 But this app didn’t have SO many of the popular brands that so many people use. When I tried to use “custom” to upload a pic of my Morningstar ML5, the stock block size was accurate until I uploaded a pic. My ML5 is 6.5” wide, almost the same width as my BigSky at 6.75”. The superimposed pic made the ML5 look about 2” narrower than the BigSky. When I tried to augment to dimensions, they don’t change the pic size, but if you use the blank opaque box provided, the dimensions are proper. I wanted to like this app and paid the one time fee to buy it. But now, I guess I’m going back to a buggy PedalPlayground. Avoid. ### 3/5 — Needs More Attention *2023-03-02* I wanted to love this app, because Pedalboard Planner from Pedaltrain is specific to their boards. But while this app has a good foundation, the database of manufacturers — both pedals and boards — needs a lot of updating. You can add a custom board, but it somehow doesn’t work that well. Plus, it doesn’t cover Voodoo Labs, Walrus Audio, or any number of other prominent and popular manufacturers. The lost is far from exhaustive or even current. It feels like a project that was off to a good start but they lost interest (or financing) in keeping it current. I hope they find the time and financial backing to keep it updated and complete. Really regret going with the paid version. ### 1/5 — I wish I never found this app *2025-10-17* I hate apps that have you buy something and hen it doesn’t work. As soon as you try to load a custom pedal it crashes. Tried everything. Restart and tried a photo and a file. I would like the app developer to fix this and then I can change my review. To create a custom pedal, the size parameters are useless since you can’t backspace all the way to enter the numbers without the first original digit remaining. Pretty much useless for me. This one is the best so far. It has really good support for adding custom boards and pedals. ### 5/5 — Great! Does as advertised…NOT a sound processor! *2021-10-26* Wow, that 1-star reviewer is really an idiot. This app is simply a database of different pedalboard options and pedals so that you can plan the placement of your rig. That’s all. And it does it really well. I found this while looking for Pedaltrain’s pedalboard planing app, but the Pedaltrain app doesn’t seem to be working. If you read the description you see it’s there so you know how big of a board to buy. One suggestion would be if there was a feature where users can add the specific settings we put in place for each pedal on our physical board. Whether that’s through the knob view where we can edit on the actual knobs or a notes section within the info section of each pedal. I think it would bring much greater value to the app. It’s really a one time use app at the current version. ### 4/5 — Fine app, but I cannot delete projects or pedals? *2024-12-18* As I’m making projects, I realize I can’t delete them.
