## What is Pediatric AgeCalc?

A simple, reliable tool designed to support pediatric and early intervention care for parents, caregivers, and clinicians. The app features two modes:

Age Calculator - Uses date of birth and gestational age to determine a child's chronological and adjusted age (if premature).

### 1/5 — Pediatric Age Calculator

*2024-01-08*

Worked great til 1mo ago. It crashes when I go to open it. I’ve delayed and redownloaded app. Still crashes. No one appears to be updating the app which is sad is it’s o w of the best one to precisely get age of a toddler/baby correct !

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2023-10-25*

I bought this app and it just shuts down when you try to open it, doesn't even work! Don't waste your $1. 😡If I could give 0 stars I would!!

### 1/5 — Pediatric AgeCalc

*2018-02-02*

This app should be a free one. Not worth purchasing does not allow for accurate premature calculation, Only in full weeks. Would not recommend

### 5/5 — Very useful for NICU and early intervention therapist

*2015-08-11*

Works well for on the go calculations of adjusted age. Just downloaded the app, but no glitches so far!

### 1/5 — App no longer working

*2012-11-02*

This was a useful app but since upgrading to the new OS operating system, the app no longer works....something needs to get fixed so that you can select the dates you want.

### 1/5 — No working at all since OS system upgrade

*2012-10-26*

No working at all since OS system upgrade

### 1/5 — Now it doesn't work at all after new iOS update :(

*2012-10-03*

Works perfectly except u must force quit the application every time after it correctly calculates the first child's age. If you don't it will not let u change the dates for another child. Great app if they could just fix this bug that lets u enter several ages in succession.

### 2/5 — Nurse practitioner

*2012-09-06*

Great app if it worked. On my iPhone 4s it locks up and won't let you clear it and enter the next one.

### 5/5 — Assistant Professor of Pediatrics

*2012-05-18*

Excellent, easy to use & accurate!

### 3/5 — Crashes

*2012-02-23*

It's a great app, but it crashes and closes every time I try and input another child's info after it has correctly calculated the age of the first child.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.0 — 2026-08-24

In our biggest update to Pediatric AgeCalc, we've completely overhauled the app providing new functionality for our users:

1. The Age Calculator now calculates chronological and adjusted age based on real calendar days (instead of using 7 day weeks and 30 day months)
2. The Age Calculator now supports weeks and days for Gestation
3. A brand new Scheduler mode lets you provide the target age, either adjusted or chronological, for the child's next visit and calculates the date for the appointment.

### 2.1 — 2015-09-08

This update from Apple will improve the functionality of this app. No new features are included.

Chronological and adjusted ages now display in months and days up to 36 months old, at which point they switch over to displaying in years, months, and days. This better aligns with standard practices in the medical industry regarding early childhood development.

### 2.0 — 2015-07-21

Re-written to work on the latest iOS. Now a universal app supported on both iPad and iPhone.

### 1.0.1 — 2011-01-25

Fixed an error in how the adjusted age was calculated.

Previous version was only using 28 days for each month of prematurity (4 weeks with 7 days in each week), instead of using a full 30 day month for each 4 weeks of prematurity.

### 1.0 — 2011-01-20

No release notes.
