## What is PeekEarth?

Explore the world in stunning 3D. PeekEarth turns your iPhone into a powerful geographic toolkit with a beautiful, minimalist interface.

EXPLORE A 3D GLOBE Launch the app and see Earth as a realistic 3D globe. Pinch, rotate, and tilt to explore terrain from any angle. Switch between Standard, Satellite, Hybrid, and Dark map styles with a single tap.

PIN LANDMARKS Tap anywhere on the map to drop a pin. Name it, save it, and come back to it anytime. Every landmark is stored locally on your device — no account required, no cloud, fully private.

DRAW PATHS Plan routes by tapping points on the map. PeekEarth connects them with a path line and calculates the total distance in real time. Save your routes with custom names for future reference.

MEASURE DISTANCES Need to know how far apart two points are? Drop measurement pins and get accurate great-circle distances instantly. Label each measurement so you remember what it represents — road width, river crossing, hiking segment.

CALCULATE AREAS Tap three or more points to form a polygon and measure the enclosed area. Useful for estimating land size, park boundaries, or construction zones.

IMPORT & EXPORT KML Open KML files directly from other apps like WeChat, email, or Files. PeekEarth parses Placemarks, LineStrings, Polygons, and gx:Track data. Export your own data as KML to share with Google Earth, Maps, or colleagues.

WATERMARK CAMERA Capture geotagged photos with a built-in watermark camera. Each photo is stamped with the location name, coordinates, altitude, and timestamp — cropped to a clean 16:9 ratio. Save directly to your photo library.

COMPASS Open a full-screen digital compass powered by your device magnetometer. See your heading in degrees and cardinal direction in real time.

COORDINATE DISPLAY View live latitude, longitude, and altitude for the map center as you pan. Toggle the info panel on or off to keep your view clean.

WEATHER AT A GLANCE Check current weather conditions for your map location with a quick tap.

FULLY OFFLINE DATA All your landmarks, paths, measurements, and imported KML data are stored locally using Apple's SwiftData framework. Your data never leaves your device.

DESIGNED FOR iOS Built entirely with SwiftUI and MapKit. Native 3D globe rendering, smooth animations, and a dark interface that looks sharp on every iPhone.
