PeekUp is a casual dating app designed for fun and honest connections. It utilizes augmented reality (AR) masks to allow users to create playful and relaxed profiles, encouraging genuine interaction and discovery.
The app has a 'zero fakes' policy, meaning only real individuals can create profiles. Live photos and videos are taken at the time of profile creation, and users are encouraged to verify each other's identity by playing games to 'rip off the mask'.
This is an interactive game within the app designed to break the ice and deepen connections. It involves answering questions, guessing desires, or sharing unusual facts about each other, helping users to move beyond initial profiles and potentially reveal their real faces.
The application is free to download and use, offering a casual dating experience. However, it also features a premium subscription called PeekUp Premium, which offers enhanced services. Subscription prices start at $4.99.
You can create unique profiles by using AR masks to express different personas, such as a 'fluffy bunny' or a 'superhero.' You can also add stickers that describe your character, and use live photos and videos to make your profile authentic.
