If your phone is in light mode you'll see a warm paper background with high-contrast ink typography. Dark mode keeps the familiar carbon-black archive look. All colours were recalibrated to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 minimum) in both modes, making the app significantly easier to read. **Smarter category navigation in How-To guides** Tapping any category on the How-Tos screen now smoothly scrolls it into view so you can always see what's on either side. If you tap a category and then press the + button to add a new guide, the creation screen opens with that category already selected — no need to re-pick it. ### Bug Fixes - Fixed secondary text being too low-contrast on dark backgrounds (grey-on-dark legibility issue reported by users). - Fixed category chip row in the new-guide creation screen not being scrollable. - Fixed colour names in the Fridge Board note colour picker being invisible in dark mode. ### 1.0.1 — 2026-04-28 **Smarter date wording across Life Admin** Warranty items now show "Expiry Date" instead of "Renewal Date". Contracts show "End Date", Wills show "Review Date", and vehicle items show "Next Due Date". Notifications match. You'll now receive "Warranty expiring in 7 days" for an appliance rather than a generic renewal message. **Fridge Board due date reminders** Sticky notes with a due date now trigger local notifications: one the day before and one on the day itself.
