## What is Pen Fight?

Remember lunch break? Two pens. One desk. No rules.

Pen Fight brings back the most competitive five minutes of your school life. Pull back, release, and flick your pen across the desk - knock your opponent's pen off the edge and claim victory.

REAL PHYSICS
Pens slide, spin, and bounce exactly like you remember. Hit the tip for a wicked spin shot, strike the center for a straight push. Every pen carries its own weight, launch speed and reach. The ones you unlock later hit harder and reach further - each a different weapon, and a different way to take the desk.

PLAY YOUR WAY
- Online: one turn at a time, against a real person. Flick your pen, send the turn, put the phone away. They play when they get to it, and you can be told when it is your move - no lobby, no spinner, no waiting on anyone. Take on a stranger, or send a friend a six-letter code and play whoever you like.
- Vs Computer: four rivals to beat, from the Bench Rookie to the Back Row Legend. Put coins on the match if you fancy your chances.
- Weekly Desk: one fixed challenge a week - polished desks, narrow desks, sudden death - with three free tries a day at it. Clear it to build your streak.
- Vs a Friend: two players, one phone, just like the old days. Hand it over and settle it - your whole pen box is on the table.
- Best of 5 rounds a match, with the loser leading off next round for a built-in comeback shot.

UNLOCK YOUR ARSENAL
Win matches to level up and unlock ten pens, each with its own weight, grip and spin - from the trusty ballpoint to the fearsome Heavyweight. Three more are stronger still, and coins are the only way to them.

FILL THE LOCKER
Thirteen pens, ten desks, eleven finishes. Win coins off the desk and spend them in the Locker, or open the Shop and take the shortcut. Every online match puts coins on the line from both sides, and the winner takes the lot.

This game includes optional in-app purchases.

FREE TO PLAY
The game is free. Short ads appear between some matches; a one-time purchase removes them for good. No account of ours - online uses Game Center, and everything else works offline.

QUICK MATCHES. ONE HAND. ANYWHERE.
A full match takes minutes. Perfect for the bus, the break room, or the back of class (we won't tell).

This isn't a game you learn. It's a game you remember.

Download Pen Fight now. Class dismissed.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3.0 — 2026-08-26

Online games now tell you what they are worth and how long you have.

- Every open game on the online screen shows the coins riding on it and how much time your opponent has left to answer. No more guessing which one is about to run out.
- Giving up now tells you plainly what it costs before you confirm it: your stake goes to your opponent. It works the same way when they give up on you.
- Delete, Give up and Watch respond the moment you tap them, instead of looking stuck while the game talks to Game Center.
- Fixed: a game whose opponent had walked away could sit on your list saying "your turn" and then refuse the turn. It now ends properly and pays out.
- Fixed: the very first turn of an online game could be handed to the wrong player.
- Fixed: the notification screen was cut in half on iPad.

### 1.2.3 — 2026-08-26

A simpler shop, and coins that finally buy everything.

- The shop had nine things in it and now has five. The Desk Pack, Pen Finish Pack, Full Pencil Case and Pocket of Coins are no longer sold. **If you bought any of them you keep everything they gave you** - nothing has been taken away, and Restore Purchases still returns it.
- The seven desks and finishes those packs used to hold can now be bought with coins in the Locker, like everything else. Nothing is stuck behind a pack you can no longer buy.
- Handful of Coins is now 1,800 coins instead of 500, which is enough for a finish outright. It is the best value on the shelf.
- Every online game now costs 100 coins to enter instead of 25, from both players, and the winner still takes both stakes. New players still start with enough for their first game, exactly as before - what changes is that losing one now costs about three wins against the computer to replace, instead of one. It is meant to be worth something to win.
- **Your coins now go on the game when you start it, not when it finishes.** They used to be counted only at the end, which meant you could start ten games at once on one game's worth of coins. Your balance will drop as soon as a game begins, and the online screen tells you how much you have riding on games still in play. Nothing is lost: a draw or a walk-out gives it straight back, and so does a challenge nobody ever answers.
- Clearing the Weekly Desk pays the board's full prize as before. Playing it again afterwards, on the same week, now pays an ordinary win - the big multiplier is what the prize was for, and you have already won it.
- An online game nobody has answered yet no longer reports itself as an error.
- When you are short of coins, the game now takes you somewhere you can do something about it, instead of greying out the button.
- The starter offer no longer turns up in your first minute, and tapping the dimmed background no longer uses up one of your three chances to see it.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-08-25

Fixes for online play.

- Online games can no longer get stuck. If a round ended on your opponent knocking their own pen off, the next round was theirs to open - but the turn had already been handed to you, so neither phone was allowed to move and the game quietly sat there until it timed out. Both sides now sort it out between them, and a game already stuck fixes itself the moment you open it.
- "Give up" works. On a challenge nobody had answered it did nothing at all, and on a live game it went through but the row stayed exactly where it was, so there was no way to tell. Giving up now clears the game, tells you if something went wrong, and counts as the loss it is.
- Scores in your games list are right. Every game was showing the score from one turn ago, and a match won or lost on the very last shot showed up as a draw.
- A fairer first move. Online, whoever created the game always opened the first round. Who shoots first is now a coin toss both phones work out for themselves.
- Your first online game is on us. New players start with enough coins for a match, so you can leave a challenge the moment you install.
- Online is the first thing on the menu, on every device. It used to hide under Vs Computer until you had played three games, so two phones on the same version showed different home screens.
- "Still sending your turn" no longer sticks. The app now knows the difference between a turn that is late and one that has already arrived.
- The app offers to turn on turn alerts, instead of leaving you to find them in Options - which in a game where your opponent plays hours later is the whole point of the mode.
- A challenge you have left but not yet played appears under "Your turn", and the app icon badge clears when you open the app.
- Tapping anywhere on a game in the online list opens it.

Options now shows a Support ID. If you ever report a problem, include it and we can see exactly what your game did.

Pens also grip each other on impact instead of sliding cleanly past, so a glancing hit imparts the spin it looks like it should. The starter pen's card was overstating it - it now reads like the pen it is.

### 1.2 — 2026-08-24

Play online. Leave a challenge and get on with your day.

- Online matches, one turn at a time. Flick your pen, send the turn, put the phone away. Your opponent plays when they get to it, and you can be notified when it is your move - no lobby, no spinner, no waiting on anyone.
- Take on a stranger, or send a friend a six-character code and play whoever you like. An open challenge puts 25 coins on the line and the winner takes them; a friend game costs nothing.
- Game Center leaderboards: Player Level, Longest Weekly Streak and Biggest Wager Won.
- New pens in the Locker, won with coins - as every pen in this game always has been.

The Daily Desk is now the WEEKLY Desk. One fixed challenge a week instead of one a night, so an evening away no longer ends a run you had been building for a month. A daily streak you already had carries over as weeks.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-08-21

Knock a pen off the desk and it now actually leaves the desk.

- Losing pens tip over the edge, fall away from the table and land out of frame, instead of stopping dead at the rim. The physics of the match itself is untouched - only what happens after a pen is already out.
- Fixed: your daily wagers did not reset. If you spent all three and then stayed off the Daily Desk screen, "No wagers left today" could follow you for days. Every daily counter now rolls over properly, whether the app was closed overnight or left running.
- Fixed: a wager you could not place said "need -1,997 more" instead of telling you that you were out of wagers for the day.
- Fixed: opening a rival's card no longer leaves it half off the bottom of the screen - the list now scrolls it into view.

Still no ads, no account, no sign-up.
