Pencil Number Place is a handwriting-friendly Sudoku app designed to feel like solving on paper.

Write numbers directly into empty cells and swipe over them to erase. Switch freely between handwriting and number buttons, and use notes and hints whenever you need them.

• Rebalanced all five levels—Intro, Easy, Medium, Hard, and Expert—based on the logical techniques needed to solve each puzzle, not just the number of given numbers.
• Puzzles are now generated automatically for the selected difficulty, and every generated puzzle has a unique solution.
• Hard puzzles introduce techniques such as pairs and triples, while Expert puzzles may require advanced strategies such as X-Wing.
• Hints now support advanced logical techniques.

Improved handwriting recognition. After learning is complete, digits already used in the same row, column, or 3x3 block are deprioritized to help reduce accidental entries.
Improved cases where handwritten “3” was too easily recognized as “6”.
Enhanced the washi paper background texture so it is easier to distinguish from the plain background.
Reorganized settings. Language selection has moved into Settings, and Settings can now be opened from the top-right of the Home screen.
Language changes now update immediately within the Settings screen.
