## What is Penn Vet Quality of Life Tool?

The Penn Vet Quality of Life Tool is a free app for animal shelters to assess the quality of life of cats and dogs in their care. The tool covers three areas of animal welfare: environment, behavior, and physical health. Shelters can use the tool to track any changes in an animal’s quality of life in the shelter or to identify animals with signs of poor welfare so they can be fast-tracked for intervention. Great potential for use, functionality is flawed. The app closes each time a report needs to be generated at the end of an assessment. The data will export to excel and emails are received directly from the app with no issue. It would be helpful if users could fill out and save a partial assessment. Some information is better than none!!  the app won’t build a report until all sections have been completed and time doesn’t always permit me to complete each section.
