I’ve been playing for a few months but unfortunately it no longer will open the app, when trying to open it comes up with a pop up saying Unexpected Error. Saying unfortunately an unexpected error occurred. The developers have been notified of the error. The game will now quit. Not sure if the developers are aware of a problem as it has persisted now for nearly 2 weeks. Suddenly you’re hit with an ad after every level! It’s quite a shock, and if you want to continue playing peacefully, you have to pay up or you will be tortured constantly by advertising. If that’s not extortion, I don’t know what is. ### 3/5 — Crashes too often *2026-07-12, version 1.191.1* Cute game. It works for a while and then the ads start to freeze and then the games crashes and all the progress disappears. Very annoying. I stopped playing after a year or so. Tried to play again, and the same thing is happening. Might just give up entirely ### 2/5 — Tedious Time Waster *2026-06-25, version 1.191.0* After a few levels this potentially fun little game quickly becomes a source of annoyance. With its lack of skip button you are forced to watch the same boring finish animation over and over after each level, followed by a mandatory long ad, which requires payment to disable. If you close the game and restart in an attempt to avoid watching another drawn out, irrelevant ad, you are forced to tap through a string of splash screens before you can get back to playing, wasting even more time, which is often made worse by the fact that you might have a timed booster in effect which is quickly counting down to zero. Finally get back in…… oops! Too late, it’s gone! This game used to be good, but then they introduced the money grabbers and it became pure extortion. I used to play this game a few years ago, but deleted it and forgot why, I just reinstalled it and quickly remembered, so sadly it’s going again. Now I remember why. They introduced mandatory ad watching between every level unless you sent them money. This is particularly annoying when you have a timed booster active, because it gets wasted. Come on! Between every level, every 5 levels is acceptable to me, but this feels like harassment, not something I want from a game. Not worth it. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Too many ads *2026-09-04, version 1.192.0* Penny and Flo has slowly become my favourite mobile game and I can confidently say I have a slight addiction to it. The actual gameplay is fun, challenging, and different, and the storytelling keeps me hooked and wanting more. However, the amount of ads that run after you complete a level, if you fail a level, in between moments in the game, are way too distracting and annoying. I have already started to lose interest as I get so annoyed every time an ad plays, and that is honestly every couple of minutes if you play a level back to back. Do better please! ### 1/5 — Unplayable *2026-08-25, version 1.191.1* This used to be a fun game. Nice relaxing way to unwind and get a cute story. The levels used to be winnable. Now they have made it so you can’t win even if you are completely boosted and even double boosted. Their canned responses through support are unhelpful. The only way to win is to spend $20 per day. I’ll watch the entire ad, but nothing appears for me to get back to the game. I have to leave the program altogether and end up losing points and prizes that I’ve earned. You cannot complete a level hardly without having to watch 4 to 5 ads lasting 30 plus seconds each. Plus a number of ads lock up and you have to back out of the game. Also the level have become so hardcore is no longer fun to play. I have played the game for several years as noted by the level. If you can’t win the game in a week or even after 20 times it ceases to be enjoyable. I have given up on this game as it is no longer fun. I have played through tough levels before but this is ridiculous. You lost me as a game player. Klar: die Entwickler müssen und sollen Geld verdienen. Was bei diesem Spiel so viel schöner ist: die „normalen“ Einblendungen dauern tatsächlich nur wenige Sekunden; für alles, das länger dauert, bekommt man z.B. eine verlängerte Spielzeit.
