PennyMe helps with the collection of pressed pennies. Those neat coins that you can imprint with a picture of a tourist attraction if you turn the crank of the machine. PennyMe displays all machines worldwide on a map and displays detailed information about a machine upon selection. Tick off machines you visited to keep track of your collected pennies. Or mark a machine for a later visit. PennyMe also helps you to easily navigate to any machine. And it shows its address, a picture of the machine and other details. Our recommendation: Turn on push notifications & never miss out again on a nearby penny! However the same day I downloaded it, it started giving me an offline mode notification, and now pictures won’t load. I was in WiFi and even tried turning WiFi off and using data and it said the same thing. I closed out the app and reopened it, and I tried the next day and it’s saying the same thing. Now that I know that this is perfect!!! **Developer response:** Thanks for using the app! We hear you and are aware that it’s flaky. Re-open the app regularly to get best results! We hope to improve it soon. Background: For the Push notification to work well, PennyMe needs continuous location access in the background. But Apple shuts this down at some point when the app isn’t used much, to save battery. That’s why re-opening the app regularly helps. The only thing I wish this app would have that would make it five stars is the ability to display multiple pictures on the same location.
