I keep things simple. I don’t want to connect to emails or the cloud so the using the app as an external source to backup is very useful. But that is where my appreciation for the app ends and the frustration with its limited functionality begins. The app only backs up and allows access to the notes and calendar. It does not have the same capabilities of the PenStar. You cannot do any editing edit in the app. Additionally, the audio recordings in your notes are not backed up in the app. The only options once you’re in a note is to convert to an image export to pdf. You don’t have the ability to save it to your phone or share it with anyone directly from the app. The app is just a back up repository, like a stand alone cloud. The PenStar is amazing, I love the notebook and all of its functionalities, but if you’re looking for a notebook with an app of similar functionality, this one will not be it. ### 1/5 — iPhone app isn’t up to par *2025-01-04, version 1.0.4* Another reviewer said they could enter text into the phone app but I don’t see how.
