Really disappointed! ### 1/5 — Worse app ever *2026-05-19, version 1.43* It’s a shame to see one of the main banks in Sri Lanka having this kind of mobile app. As a Sri Lankan who lives USA and a software developer, I saw the difference between US banking apps and this worse People’s wave app. App is crashing by for two weeks now for iOS and nobody is tracking and nobody is fixing the app. Many people depend on online transactions and this is how these IT people of this bank deliver the service. I get “service unavailable” message. This is unfortunate for Sri Lankans working abroad. Bank should fix it. Calling customer care from another country takes time and money. But in the step 1 itentity type drop down is empty and then crashed the app. This crash is happening always when I try to select the identity type. Then I assumed that by default it selected the NIC and tried to continue with other details. How is this bank making millions can’t simply fix these. It’s incredibly slow—every time I click even a small button, it loads for ages as if it’s fetching terabytes of data. Frequent timeout errors and “service unavailable” messages make it even worse. You can’t copy and paste account numbers, so you have to type them manually. The screen layout doesn’t adjust when the keypad opens, making it impossible to see what you’re typing. It’s just a terrible user experience overall. I’ve used many banking apps in Sri Lanka and the UK, and this is one of the worst. After three years of use, I see no improvements. If I return to Sri Lanka, I’ll likely switch banks and transfer my money elsewhere because I don’t see this app getting any better. ### 1/5 — Transection slip *2025-02-18, version 1.33* When we transfering money from bank to bank or if we make any other bill payments we need the electronic transection slip. It must be automatically generated by app. For now we need login our people's bank account and download the slip. It is taking more time. So that this app is still older version. The world is going through the new technologies and new invention. But the people's bank app is still there.
