I have paid them for gift cards and am unable to access the cards and customer service has been unresponsive. If they can’t get thier technical issues worked out, then refund people’s money. ### 1/5 — Unable to redeem rewards *2025-08-27, version 5.3.6* For 3 months now, I haven’t been able to redeem rewards. Customer service says “developers are working on updates and will let you know when it is live again.” There is no point in buying these gift cards here if you can’t redeem the reward points. It’s also not a very user friendly app for redeeming the gift cards as you have to go through all transactions and click into each one to see which cards still have a balance. Why can’t they have a section that shows which cards have a balance remaining? ### 1/5 — Avoid this app *2025-08-23, version 5.3.6* For the past several months, the Pepper Rewards app has not allowed users to redeem their rewards. Also during that time they’ve had processing problems that prevent you from adding a payment card — which further impedes the ability to earn rewards. They do not respond to customer service inquiries. At best, this app is a poor customer experience. In reality, it’s probably criminal fraud at the point. Do not use this app — you will not get what you’re entitled to from Pepper Rewards. ### 1/5 — Will steal your money *2025-08-15, version 5.3.6* Absolutely horrible since they switched to “upgrades.” My card was charged and I was given $100 credit, but it cannot be redeemed since they are still updating the app. It has been three months. I do a lot of purchasing on Amazon and getting points for that was a no brainer. It was like free money. Eventually they removed Amazon as an option and I was super disappointed. I stayed however because they still had other services like GrubHub and Uber that I used. However now the app is completely unusable. For weeks now, trying to checkout a gift card simply returns a generic “Internal server error.” I tried contacting customer support but they told me they have no estimate as to when this would be fixed. Now that the app changed to Pepper, not so much. It takes forever now to accumulate points, and for the last few weeks, it is not letting me apply the $ I have towards new purchases. :( If this continues, it will not be worth the extra step of buying the gift card. Below my original review from 2 years ago: II use this every time I shop at Winn Dixie and several other places in the Miami area. I’ve had it less than a year and already redeemed 4 rewards, and they have a great selection to pick from. The app is super easy to use... I don’t even need my wallet to go shopping anymore. Best of all, their customer service is excellent!! (Shout-out to Caitrin who went above and beyond!) Customer service is fast, reliable, efficient, and takes care of problems right away. Other companies can learn from Moocho. I use it at Walmart, Sam’s Club, for Airbnb, etc. very easy to use, and amazing incentive for cash back. Easy 7% cash back if you use a 2% credit card or more if buying during their promos. I have sometimes gotten as much as 12.5% cash back. I strongly recommend the app! ### 5/5 — The best app ever!!! *2023-10-10* I’ve never been one for coupon or savings apps because they usually feel like more effort than it’s worth but Moocho is the BEST! Moocho is so easy to use and makes saving so easy. They offer so many different stores and restaurants like Walmart, DoorDash, and Instacart and I’m able to save on purchases I was already making. It works just like a gift card so it’s easy to use, rewarding me with points that I can exchange for discounts on my purchases. They also have missions I can complete to earn even more reward points. My account got deactivated due to security reasons (which I am very glad about because it stopped someone from hacking into my account) and I called customer service.
