When contacted to replace with the right product, I was informed they will only collect the incorrect item and I would need to place an order again for the correct item that is now no longer being offered with the same discount, and I need to wait for 25 days for delivery. Instead of replacing the incorrect item with the one I originally ordered, they expect me to go through the entire ordeal again, pay extra coz discount is not applicable, while not refunding the amount until they have picked up the wrong item after 5 days. What kind of customer service is this?? Do better Pepperfry.. ### 1/5 — Extremely Poor Quality and Unacceptable Customer Service *2026-02-23* We purchased a dining table from Pepperfry, and the quality is absolutely unacceptable. The chair broke within just one week of purchase. After repeated follow-ups and wasting our time, they only replaced the chair legs instead of properly resolving the issue. Now the same problem has happened again. This time, Pepperfry assured us that someone from their technical team would visit for inspection — but no one ever showed up. Shockingly, they closed the complaint ticket without even informing us. We had to raise another ticket ourselves. After waiting nearly three weeks, they finally responded, promising a product replacement. A few days later, they changed their statement and claimed they cannot replace it because their warehouse supposedly burned down. This excuse is completely unacceptable. Instead, they offered ₹2000 for repairs. It has now been more than three weeks since that promise as well — and there has been absolutely no response from their so-called “upper management team.” This is highly unprofessional and reflects extremely poor customer service standards. If you cannot maintain basic product quality or honor your commitments, you have no right to market yourselves as the best company. It has now been 10 days since the product was delivered, and the unit is still lying unassembled like an expensive pile of wooden disappointment. For the past one week, I have been repeatedly calling customer service, only to be fed the same meaningless assurances: “We will assign a carpenter shortly.” Spoiler alert: they didn’t. Today was the peak of Pepperfry’s professionalism—the customer care executive simply hung up the call when I asked for an update on the carpenter. No explanation. No solution. Just click. So let me get this straight: • You take money in advance • You make assembly mandatory • You fail to provide the service • And when questioned, you disconnect the call This isn’t customer service; it’s customer avoidance. If you’re planning to buy furniture from Pepperfry, be prepared to either: 1. Live with unassembled furniture indefinitely, or 2. Totally disappointed — won’t be shopping again. ### 1/5 — Defective product, no quality checking, over promises and the return policy is not customer friendly *2025-09-08* 1) i received defective product of pepperfry by DHL courier, not even open box delivery, if asked customer care the reply is, only for furniture is open box delivery but on pepperfy app or website its not mentioned only furniture is open box delivery. 2) No quality checking is done when the pepperfry promising quality checking. the lamp got delivered without any scratches but the LED from them lamp is not working. Pepperfry should have checked the LED bulb and then fitted LED bulb in the lamp, this shows that there is no quality checking and they have over promised. 3) the return policy is no customer friendly, first asked for 3 images of the product from the website, later the customer care calls and says it needs only MP4 video of not more then 24mb, i have an iPhone i dont know which format its recording. Conclusion:. sending defective product without any quality checking and making very difficult for customer to return it. this is not even beautiful to but products from Pepperfry. **Developer response:** Thank you for reaching out. It was a holiday the order did not go through and yet they charged me 2.5% cancellation fee. I called back on there working day to check if there is a way to revert the cancellation charges offering to buy another wardrobe or same wardrobe but they refused.. like you charged me cause I was cancelling and then you wouldn’t let me in cancel the cancellation request all within the working day what kind of cheat and thug practice is that. Extremely dissatisfied with the handling of my orders and the quality of products delivered. Before placing the order for a memory foam topper by a third class company called Looms & Needles, I updated my address to reflect my current location and made repeated efforts to ensure that the product would be delivered there. I spoke with several customer service agents and even escalated the matter by writing to senior officials. Despite my numerous calls and emails, the product was still delivered to my old address. This forced me to drive down to my old address to collect the topper, causing unnecessary inconvenience and frustration. To make matters worse, upon opening the package, I discovered that the topper is only 2 inches thick instead of the 3 inches I had ordered and paid for. This was a clear violation of my order specifications and leaves me feeling shortchanged, misled and outright cheated. To make matters worse, they have now refused to refund my money and take the topper back. This after they wasted my time writing numerous emails. The second order, another scam, a bedsheet, was received in a damaged condition. Furthermore, the thread count was significantly lower than advertised, indicating inferior quality. I strongly advise against purchasing from Pepperfry. The level of service is shockingly poor, and it feels like the company has no regard for its customers. ***If you’ve placed an order for a product and it isn’t available, they will cancel it on their own without prior information.*** Delayed Products: There’s a guaranteed delay in product delivery with no intimation or communication whatsoever. I waited endlessly without any idea when my order would arrive. No Tracking or Updates: There’s zero tracking available, no updates, no communication. It’s as if they take your money and forget about the customer. I had to chase them repeatedly to figure out what was happening. Customer Service is a Joke: Their customer service is beyond terrible. Every interaction was frustrating, with unhelpful responses and no resolution in sight. It’s clear that they don’t value their customers at all.
