### 5/5 — Genius!

*2025-04-25, version 1.0.4*

Great app! Wish I knew about it sooner

### 5/5 — Simple flexible

*2025-04-13, version 1.0.4*

Really like the simplicity of this which makes it flexible. For a hobby ceramicist it really helps to keep track of what works what doesn’t and also a place to write a plan for the piece. I do wish i would read the plan before i go ahead and glaze it. Only suggestion would be if we could reorder the photos once they are in so you can have the finished piece at front

### 5/5 — Great little app

*2025-04-12, version 1.0.4*

It does exactly what it says. It will do. It’s super flexible. It’s really great.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2025-03-26, version 1.0.4*

Love this app. So useful in tracking what is in progress and for going back to recreate a certain look or stain. Only thing I would change is that I would like the most recent picture to sort on top of maybe that already exists but I can’t find how to change that.

### 5/5 — tracking made easy

*2025-03-16, version 1.0.4*

Love this app for its ease and simplicity. Best free app for tracking your work :)

### 5/5 — Wonderful

*2025-02-27, version 1.0.4*

This app is so helpful for keeping track of ongoing ceramics projects and what stages they are in. I love that you can add decor, glazes, and notes to each pot. Truly a helpful app

### 5/5 — Game changer!!!

*2025-01-24, version 1.0.4*

I’ve shared this app with classmates because it has helped me so much to track and learn much faster and replicate successes. Thank you so much!

### 5/5 — So glad I have this!

*2024-11-15, version 1.0.3*

I have been trying to figure out a way to incorporate photos into my notes for glazes and this is it! It keeps track of all my glazes and makes it easy to keep track of where things are in the process. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2024-11-07, version 1.0.3*

Loving this app so far. I was using a combination of a notes doc plus different albums to try and keep track of what pieces were in what stage. This is so much easier, and reduces clutter in my photo library.

One small improvement that would make it really helpful is if a setting could be added to auto update the thumbnail to the most recent photo. I’m taking a photo at each stage so it would be helpful for the thumbnail to reflect the current stage/state of the piece.

### 5/5 — Flexible and free

*2024-10-07*

Excellent so far.

### 5/5 — Switched

*2024-07-26, version 1.0.3*

Just switched from pottery log to this app and already it is heaps easier. Especially having all the clubs and glazes and forms just ready to pick. Saves a lot of time … thanks

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Hard to use for me

*2026-04-09, version 1.0.4*

Not sure why but it’s difficult to use.

### 1/5 — Keeps crashing and not responsive

*2026-04-08, version 1.0.4*

The app has been crashing for no apparent reason. I don’t even have many photos but it crashes or becomes unresponsive after i have it open for more than a minute or so. I’m sorry but I cannot use it the way it is now, it’s buggy.

### 1/5 — Bad

*2026-02-27, version 1.0.4*

Can not find a way to add pictures and status permanently. Ridiculously bad

### 2/5 — Need instructions! Looks useful but how to use it?

*2024-02-18, version 1.0.1*

Need a tutorial or handbook or just a few clues. How does this thing work?

### 3/5 — So much to love, but….

*2025-01-13, version 1.0.3*

This app is perfection in the layout, simplicity, and overall UI.

But — it crashes nearly every time I try to edit a piece in process. I wonder what is causing the app crashing? If that were fixed this is easily the best pottery tracker in my book.

### 4/5 — Generally Ok

*2026-02-11, version 1.0.4*

It’s generally ok but needs to allow edits to entries. For example if I move something from one stage to another (bisque to glaze) but don’t update the app on the same day I actually do the activity, I can’t change the date. Nor can I delete or change photos. It’s just not flexible enough.

### 4/5 — Filtering

*2025-03-28, version 1.0.4*

Hello. Thank you for this app! I am trying to load all my finished pieces. Can’t seem to figure out how to filter things like certain glazes or a certain type of project -like mugs. Otherwise I love it!

### 4/5 — Where are my projects?

*2024-12-10*

I love this site BUT I have just made notes on all my projects and pressed ‘glazed’ and they disappeared all together 😢
Can I get them back? I use this as a log of my sizes and glazes.
Here’s hoping. Sue

**Developer response:** I’m glad you’ve been enjoying the app! The app automatically moves completed projects to a separate area to keep your in-progress list clean. If you want to see your completed work, you can tap where it says “in progress” at the top of the app, and switch over to “completed”. Hopefully that helps, and happy potting!

### 4/5 — A wonderful free app with a few minor glitches

*2024-10-31, version 1.0.3*

I so appreciate the free and straightforward Perch Pot. Compare to its competition, which is a $50/yr subscription (!!!) at least on Apple. So thank you - you are keeping the faith, brother.

It does what it says it does, with a few minor glitches:
- The notes section (large text field) continuously saves data; when it does, it periodically (every 10 key strokes or so) defaults cursor position to the end of the field. This makes it difficult to modify something in the middle of the field.
- I work on an iPad and have not figured out how to modify and upload a data-save archive. So far, not a big deal for me.

### 4/5 — Great for tracking pieces missed for glazing applications

*2024-09-01, version 1.0.3*

I wish I could add more details about the application of the glaze : number of coats, inside or outside, rim, dipped or brushed… I’m trying to find a way without going into notes each time so I could sort by glazes more easily. With that it would be perfection! Great app overall!

### 5/5 — Does everything I need

*2025-12-04, version 1.0.4*

### 5/5 — So useful and easy to use!

*2025-06-23, version 1.0.4*

I tried all the pottery tracking apps and love Perch Pot the most! It’s so intuitive and easy to use. Lots of customization and just the right amount of info to keep track of everything. It’s visually appealing and not cluttered. The tags and info sections let you add any details that aren’t included already. I also love that it lets me quickly select multiple underglazes I used without having to input each one on its own. If it had an option for adding more details on glaze application, it would be complete perfection! I appreciative to have so much thoughtfulness put into a free app, thank you!

### 5/5 — Love it!
