Checked network on device and router at home and all connections are great. ### 2/5 — My Feeder Has Become a Fake International Airport *2026-07-29, version 2.4.7* If PerchLens is to be believed, my humble hummingbird feeder in North Carolina has somehow become the hottest vacation spot for South and Central American hummingbirds. According to the app, I’m basically running an avian Sandals Resort in my backyard. The problem? I’m not. Cute interface, fun idea, but the AI bird ID is about as reliable as a squirrel on espresso. Every flutter becomes an exotic species, every shadow becomes a rare migrant, and every actual hummingbird becomes… well, apparently a tourist with a passport. Two stars because it’s entertaining, but if you actually want to know what bird you’re looking at, you might as well ask a random pigeon. ### 2/5 — Camera is not recording *2026-07-28, version 2.4.7* Camera is not recording again; so not receiving alerts. Also, location is not working again. Can view live streaming only. First the camera door completely fell off after a month, the solar panel fell off shortly after that due to the poor construction and tiny screws. Then the app just completely stopped working all together. Just spins and nothing loads. Reset the app then it won’t let you click log in. Much better cameras out there now ### 1/5 — Loved it as Birdty, currently not working as PerchLens *2026-07-26* The app worked beautifully as Birdty and then it changed to PerchLens. And now I can’t even log in. I tried offloading, deleting, redownloading, changing my password… nothing works. The screen doesn’t give me a message; it just does nothing after I log in. I know my first password was right bc when I hit forgot password I put in the password I had that wasn’t working and it said I can’t reuse the old password! I clicked the app support button here and it just brings me to page that I can’t do anything on. So frustrating! It was supposed to be a seamless switchover and it is anything but! ### 1/5 — Can’t get past the login page *2026-07-26, version 2.4.7* This app is a joke. Asks for all the permissions to access your stuff but never cycles past the log in page. My WiFi keeps disconnecting. It was fine while it was the Birdty app. When I went to reinstall, it took two days before I could get back on line. I hope these issues are fixed soon, or I’ll soon be moving on to a different app. ### 1/5 — Terrible/ Negative 5 Stars *2026-07-27, version 2.4.7* I got a new phone and when the app reinstalled, it would not allow me to log in or access the app. I uninstalled and reinstalled and tried changing the password. Then my husband couldn’t access the app. After a Google search, we found out this is a known issue. I am getting alerts for bird visits but when I open the app it won’t load anything…just watching a wheel go round and round. I love the way the feeder captures the action every time the birds drop by for a meal. I didn’t know we had so many varieties of birds in our yard. When I have done something stupid in the app and messed things up they answer my email within 24 hours with easy to follow instructions. The birds are cool, the feeder works well and the community is fresh. It is perfect. Just a few bugs on the AI recognition, but overall it is perfect!
