The load and you can see the video bar moving but no visuals are shown. Working fine on iPhone ### 3/5 — Awesome app but needs an UPDATE *2021-01-30* This is an amazing app that perfectly executes what it is intended to. This app is really old and needs a new update. The main problem is that the app hasn’t been updated to accommodate the new bigger screens of today. With an update, this app would be a 5 out of 5. I really hope the company didn’t turn a blind eye to the need for updates. **Developer response:** Sorry for delayed release, but we hope you've seen the newest update, which among other things, now fully adapts to all sizes of screens. ### 2/5 — Update please! *2020-12-15, version 6.5.2* Can this app PLEASE be updated?! It’s such a good product but it’s lacking. Make it so you can use it on the computer to add recipes. Ux/Ui is very dated and doesn’t reflect where Perfect and Vitamix are as brands now. Great apps but quite buggy too like you can’t cancel or go back when editing content or ingredients on the recipe editor. It's also frustrating that it lets you connect to Pinterest but you should be able to download a recipe into it and have it work. Instead, you have to completely recreate it. But there are some big problems. While the app works great for the recipes that come with it, I am unable to create my own recipes because the app will constantly crash. The interface of this app makes it very hard to use and is more complicated than it needs to be. Also, this app is not updated for larger phones and looks terrible on iPhone 7. Have deleted app and still no connection. The others pop right onto the scale. ### 1/5 — No longer connects to Vitamix scale *2022-01-01, version 8.0.3* I used to love this app, and would have given it 5 stars. However, now it doesn’t connect to the Vitamix version of the scale. The Perfect Blend app does. And support has been silent, not even acknowledging the support ticket. ### 1/5 — What about Prep Pad, weren’t they first ? *2020-10-16* Didn’t you buy the interactive scale Prep Pad, discontinue it & and then use the IP to develop this product ? I have tried for quite some time and I can’t understand any of it. I’m deleting it. I’ve used many healthy eating apps that have adding recipes down to a perfection. This app lacks in many ways. I would like to add a recipe but this is way too hard. It won’t let me add more ingredients. It only allows two per bowl. While using my iPhone, I tried typing a description and the two buttons at the bottom; cancel and okay disappear. It won’t let me scroll to the bottom to see them. I haven’t worked much with this app but from what I’ve tried, I’ll be taking the Perfect Bake 2.0 back and getting something else. Another suggestion, make a category for user recipes. Maybe make them shareable with others. If you connect people with recipes they’re emotionally attached to, they will have a hard time deleting your app. ### 1/5 — Love it but... *2016-01-05, version 4.0.1* I love the app and device so much but it just crashes when I go to "My Account". I love it so much that I will go to the YouTube page with Steve Harvey and tell everyone not to buy it until the app is fixed in hopes that it forces you guys to fix it. ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2015-11-27, version 3.1.3* I have owned my perfect bake for less than a year and after iOS 9.0 was released, the app constantly crashes and no longer calibrates my scale correctly. Use it all the time to put my favorite recipes. It is easy to scale up or down depending on my needs at the time. Allows you put in all the steps and timeframes to process an item. There are a lot of recipes, which makes it even better! Overall works great as a stand alone scale or conjunction with the app. Love that I do not need to get out my measuring cups. ### 5/5 — Have used for a week and love it! *2017-01-02, version 6.3.2* I received the perfect scale for Christmas, but before I got the scale I had already downloaded all three of the apps perfect bake perfect blend and perfect drink. The apps are amazing, they are definitely attuned towards a person who has experience with technology, but even if you're not that great at using new technology they offer lots of videos to help you along the way. The recipes are wonderful and I love that they add new recipes all the time, I love that the apps are free even if you don't have one of their scales, and there are no ads. I have noticed the app crashing when trying to create my own recipes. But as long as you save your work as you go this is not a problem just an annoyance. Also it does have a different look on my iPad that on my phone, on the iPad it is viewed horizontally more like a cookbook, and on the iPhone it is viewed vertically, I have not seen a way to change this. I personally like the way it looks on both of them but it is different and at first it was kind of weird. I love that I can create a login on my iPad which is what I mainly use in the kitchen and my phone always has the same information. I can create shopping list on my iPad for the ingredients I need, and when I go to the store with my iPhone and my shopping list is there for me. All in all this is the most amazing cooking app I have ever found and I have had several of them. It takes 100% of the guesswork out of breakfast lunch and dinner it makes cooking even more fun because I don't even have to think about it, especially on complicated recipes, I just follow the prompts and I'm rewarded with nice tones every step of the way! ### 5/5 — Surprise Find *2016-07-28, version 5.0.2* I have been using this for several weeks now (the scale gifted to me as Perfect Cocktail), and enjoy the forced organisation and tidiness it offers for baking. I have yet to learn to create/add a functioning recipe, but will continue to use this as much as possible. I hope there will be continual updates with new recipes added at regular intervals. ### 5/5 — Amazing Product *2016-07-12, version 5.0.1* I received this product as a gift and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to navigate as I am older and not as intuitive as the younger generations. I did need, however, to read the how to sections and view the tutorial video to get started. I really liked how the color coded bowls, the scale, and the app all worked together. When you begin a recipe the steps are very clear and the measurements are visual. There is even an audio sound when you have poured in enough of an ingredient. You can by pass an ingredient while making a recipe or edit the recipe later. You can add your own recipes, too. This product eliminates the mess of many measuring cups and spoons which is a real plus. This is an amazingly fun product to use. ### 5/5 — So much fun! The PRO is worth it. *2016-07-12, version 5.0.1* A friend of ours has the old wired Perfect Bake scale. We played with it at the lake house over the 4th of July and the Recipe App is so much fun! We each picked a cookie recipe and took turns making them (the Chocolate Chunk Cherry Almond ones are amazing!!!). It was definitely worth it to upgrade to the PRO scale. The bluetooth is super easy to set up and it looks beautiful sitting out on the counter. Oh, and it works with the Perfect Drink app as well! I see lots of tasty cookies and cocktails in our future... Can't wait to get started! ### 5/5 — Great for the minimalist baker *2016-05-25, version 5.0.1* As someone who is still relatively fresh out of college, my kitchen is what I'd like to call minimalist. I don't have many measuring tools or mixing bowls, so this product and app is great - no measuring and much less mess to clean up post-baking. I also love that you can go through and input what you have already in your pantry, and it will tell you what kinds of things you can make without going to the store.
