### 2/5 — Money drain and dishonest

*2026-03-27, version 9.3.0*

I have tried signing up for a limited video streaming a couple of times and each time I see extra charges and on top of it all you only get 5 minutes a week if not less. In fact you are not informed of how much time you have but I know that I can get in and look for 1-2 minutes two times and that’s it. For $6 a week I expect more and as for the extra charges, it’s easier to get answers from Pentagon than from these guys. Awful

### 2/5 — Not great

*2025-12-30, version 9.1.5*

This app does the bare minimum. Almost no activity can generate a notification and there are no long press options for common task. You can’t download attachments. Navigating the UX for pictures is not intuitive at all. I was forced into using this app by our preschool but I would not have chosen it.

### 2/5 — Expensive and glitchy

*2025-11-10, version 9.1.4*

The app is a good idea but paying $10 a week and the app barely works is a little annoying. It’s super slow to open, it’s slow to move within the app too and I’m having issues getting it to work at all today

### 3/5 — Could really use widget or quick actions

*2025-09-26*

Seems like a decent app. Just started using it at our daycare. However, I’m a little surprised there is no support for quick actions or widget. Would help a ton when dealing with chaos of drop off and pick up.

### 2/5 — Disappointing

*2025-06-16, version 9.0.0*

We switched over to this app and I’ve had issues ever since. The cameras don’t always work. It takes forever to load. Moving between screens can lag and sometimes I have to close the app to get back to the home page. Really disappointing. I wish they would’ve beta tested for longer before launching it.

### 2/5 — Takes forever to load

*2025-06-16, version 9.0.0*

The photos uploaded are a good quality. The daily updates for parents is great and it’s easy to sort what categories you want to see at one time which is beneficial if you’re wanting to see only meals or potty breaks. I am giving this 2 stars because the app has issues loading quite often which is a problem when trying to check children in and out on the app. I also pay extra for camera access and the camera rarely ever loads. Whether on WiFi or phone data, it’s always an issue.

### 2/5 — Apple TV

*2025-06-13, version 9.0.0*

I can’t download the app on the apple tv i wanna watch and keep my eyes on my baby

### 2/5 — Poor operation

*2025-04-01, version 8.4.1*

App takes several moments/minutes to open. Sometimes the app times out. I’m unable to see updates of my child and messages from the daycare. Due to the poor operability of the app, other areas are delayed such as signing child in/out of center and gaining quick access to child or updates throughout the day.
Poorly designed app and it’s gotten worse the longer I’ve been using it.

### 2/5 — Needs a lot of work

*2025-03-11*

Pics and video are great. No banner notifications even if they are turned on in options. I don’t want to have to open the app to see what the notification is. The new update also does not seem to let you edit the in app notification screen without closing the app.

**Developer response:** Baby-daddy1,
Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad you’re enjoying the photos and videos. We’re aware of the notification bug you mentioned, and we’re happy to let you know that a fix for this issue will be released in the coming days. We appreciate your patience as we work to get this resolved.

As for the in-app notification screen, you actually don’t need to close the app to remove the notification window. Simply drag the screen down, and it should clear without needing to exit the app.

Thank you again for sharing your experience, and we’re excited for the upcoming update!

### 1/5 — Change in subscription plans

*2025-02-05, version 8.3.0*

Can this be 0

### 1/5 — Brightwheel is so much better!

*2025-02-05, version 8.3.0*

Our daycare recently switched over from Brightwheel and all I can say is what a down grade! The only upside is that the camera quality is better….if it doesn’t take 10 minutes to load. Everything about this app is harder to use than Brightwheel. You can’t message directly with the teachers- it all goes to the admin which is pointless. So now there is no direct communication with your child’s teacher anymore. If you have multiple children it is so cumbersome to check them in because you always have to go back out to the main screen to check in the next child. As mentioned before the cameras are laggy and take forever to load. Then sometime it just freezes and “rewinds” back to a previous frame. So switching between 2 kids takes forever. You don’t get notifications like in Brightwheel. I would love to get notifications when pictures or videos are posted because that is most important to me. Would also like to see nap notifications. But you only get ones that track their movement. This really should be all inclusive or even better customizable to choose which ones you want. Also feel that this is expensive!! Brightwheel was free for pictures and videos posted. Like another reviewer said you are nickeled and dimed for this. So if your daycare is looking to switch- DON’T DO IT!

### 1/5 — Do not recommend

*2024-12-26, version 8.2.2*

This app is terrible. My daughter’s daycare changed from Brightwheel to Perfect Day in September and there has been nothing but issues since switching. My mother and I have put in multiple tickets to have issues fixed so we can communicate with the school via the app as well as issues that need fix with the nap time as I have not been able to see her nap times. Our tickets were closed out without anyone working on them or fixing the issues. The support is terrible with communication and responding to their emails and messages to fix things.

### 1/5 — Do not like

*2024-11-26, version 8.2.1*

Too many issues. Support takes a long time to fix. Teachers can’t communicate with you directly. All messages go to front office staff.

### 1/5 — Lie about features

*2024-11-01, version 8.1.1*

I used to work for the company the created this app. They had me film a promo commercial for them and lie about features that aren’t actually available. Every customer I spoke with hated this app. It’s too new to be rolled out. Too many bugs, inconveniences, and horrible interface.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work, zero customer service support

*2026-03-06, version 9.2.1*

Oh, did you want accurate updates on your child that you could rely on? Well then DO NOT use this app!

I’ve contacted customer service multiple times over the same issue and not only do they not resolve it, they just stop responding! Plus, you can only open 1 help ticket at a time - so if it just sits there, you’re stuck in limbo!

### 1/5 — Awful Customer Service

*2025-10-10*

The actual app:
-Does not send notifications on the activities of the day (ex. potty/food/nap/etc)
-Only sends notification of “face link” movements

The cost:
-Over $500/year
-$10/week for one camera (WatchMeGrow was $5/week for two cameras)

The company:
-Sneaky payment process. They charge your apple account. When you unsubscribe through the app, it doesn’t stop charging your apple account. You have to unsubscribe through apple.
-“Customer service” ghosts users

Overall:
-Needs to prioritize the important updates instead of your child moved to and from the playground
-Company preys on parents knowing their daycares don’t give options on how they communicate
-Disappointing

### 1/5 — This app should be free.

*2025-08-21, version 9.1.3*

The fact that we have to pay for this app when it doesn’t work most of the time is infuriating. If it’s not freezing or loading then my kid isn’t even being followed by the facial recognition software and I’m watching another class half the time. I would LOVE to spend less time refreshing the app and more time actually seeing my kid.

### 1/5 — Lags, you can barely access camera

*2025-08-04, version 9.1.2*

I feel Iike cancelling my subscription. The app rarely works. The camera lags when it works and I usually can even see anything because it doesn’t load. The app exits me out multiple times. This app is trash.

### 1/5 — Buggy mess

*2025-07-30, version 9.1.1*

This app is a mess, support takes days to fix problems while offering no refund options, bugs galore on the app.

### 1/5 — Worst app

*2025-06-13, version 9.0.0*

This app is horrible. It’s always down. It’s not worth the $10/wk I have to pay. I wish I didn’t have to use it for my child’s daycare.

### 1/5 — The worst

*2025-04-25, version 8.4.1*

Opens when it wants. Only notifies you when it wants and I have to pay a higher tier to see my kid at daycare without being told limited streaming has run out. Extremely dissatisfied with app and extremely disappointed with our daycare for switching. Do better for parents.

### 1/5 — Laggy

*2025-04-09, version 8.4.1*

Laggy video, logs you out every hour, lots of bugs

### 1/5 — Changing passwords once a week

*2025-04-02, version 8.4.1*

This app - in all its versions - has a glitch in which the password gets reset to one key and a new password has to be created to see your kid. So glad I’m paying for this glitchy service.

### 1/5 — Terrible App

*2025-04-01, version 8.4.1*

Cámaras take an eternity to load. The app is slow, it takes me twice as long to check my kids in to daycare. Notifications are inconsistent. Activities, diaper changes, and naps are not in consecutive time order. Completely disorganized.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Game changer

*2026-02-03, version 9.2.1*

I’m a first time mom and it made me feel so much better dropping my 3 month old off knowing I can see her on live video

### 5/5 — I love it

*2026-01-22*

We love this app. Camera quality is great and it is easy to use!

### 5/5 — Every preschool NEEDS this app!!!!!

*2024-11-12, version 8.1.1*

As a parent with a little munchkin in preschool, I’ve been using the Perfect Day Live app for a few weeks now, and I’m genuinely impressed. It’s been such a game changer in keeping me connected to my little one’s day at school. The app allows me to get real-time updates on my child’s activities, meals, naps, and even their mood throughout the day. It’s like having a window into their preschool experience, which has been invaluable.

I really appreciate the simplicity of the app. I can quickly see when my child is due for a nap or when they've completed a certain activity, which makes pick-up time feel less like a mystery. The photos and notes that the teachers post are a highlight—they give me a glimpse into how my child is interacting with their classmates and what they’re learning.

The app has features like direct messaging with teachers, which has been a helpful tool for staying in touch about any concerns or updates, without having to wait for the end-of-day report. I feel like I’m always in the loop, without being overwhelmed with constant notifications.

Overall, Perfect Day Live has made managing my child’s preschool routine much easier and more transparent. It’s reassuring to see how much my child is thriving in their environment, and it helps me feel more engaged in their early learning journey. Highly recommend it to any parent looking for a more connected preschool experience!

### 5/5 — Helps parents feel involved and engaged in their child’s day

*2024-11-12, version 8.1.1*

As a teacher, Perfect Day Live has been a valuable tool in bringing the classroom experience right to parents’ fingertips. Parents love the real-time updates, from seeing their child's latest art project to learning about the “letter of the week”—it’s almost like they’re spending the day with us! This connection helps parents feel involved and engaged, even when they can’t be there in person. Many parents have shared how much they look forward to these updates, as they bring classroom moments into family conversations at home, reinforcing learning in a fun, natural way. Perfect Day Live truly bridges the gap between home and school, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for everyone involved.

### 5/5 — Best App for Parents

*2024-11-06, version 8.1.1*

This app has some really great features. I love that I have all three of my children in the same app, and I can switch through each of their daily reports throughout the day.

I decided to have the ultimate plan so I can access the cameras when I want to check on them. My favorite part is that I can access the cameras directly through the App. It’s so convenient not having multiple apps for my children’s preschool. I’m so happy my children’s preschool switched to Perfect Day!

### 5/5 — Great cameras

*2024-11-05, version 8.1.1*

Cameras are so clear and I love how they switch to where you child is. Very convenient not having to call the school to switch the cameras if your child moves.

### 5/5 — :)

*2024-11-01, version 8.1.1*

Amazing app. Highly recommend!!

### 5/5 — Love it!!

*2024-11-01, version 8.1.1*

Love this app. The cameras are so clear and love that I can watch my child in any room he may be in throughout the day. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — ❤️

*2024-11-01, version 8.1.1*

I love this app! It brings families closer to their child’s daily experience while they are at school.

### 5/5 — All in one

*2023-06-23, version 1.3*

We really enjoy how this one app does all the things we need in order to still feel a part of our children’s day while at daycare. The video quality is very clear. Switching from one video to an other based on our children’s location is very cool. The chat feature is pretty basic, but that’s great because it doesn’t make a UI confusing when it doesn’t have to be.
