In Perfect Swing’s case, it would be so much more fun if you didn’t know what your opponent’s next shot was going to be like. From the white and blue tees there seems to be some variation. When you play the black tees every opponent on every hole hits to the same place and is certain to get a birdie or par. It would be a great game if (like in real golf) you could expect your opponent to hit a bad shot occasionally. I know, at least, one of the creators goals is for the player to buy better clubs and balls, but is it really worth putting out a good game, that with a little effort, could be a great game. My ONLY complaint is app stability. It frequently freezes and and tries to reconnect, sometimes in 15-20 secs, other times not at all. Then you have to go out and start the round over. Very frustrating. I know it’s an app issue bc it freezes on my iPad as well as my previous and current iPhones. This started within the past year, but never had the issue previously. We'd be happy to have you assisted with this concern. ### 3/5 — This is an update to my previous review as I missed out on some details. *2023-10-11* When it came to the club crafting boxes and I said that 3 boxes offer 3 to 5 stars including the crystal crafting box. I was mistaken I meant to say that the epic and the crystal crafting boxes offer 3 to 5 while the mythic box offers a 4 to 5 star club level.😅sorry As for the other piece of information I forgot to mention, when it comes to the game shop a lot of the club components that are 3 stars and above and that are labeled as rare (purple) are a little over 100k which I don’t have a problem with if there was another way of getting a decent amount of gold but the only option right now is in clan league as you can play that one twice a day. Technically there is another option but as I said before there’s an increased entry fee in match mode as you move along to each level but you really start to see the disadvantages of losing that entry fee as soon as you start to losing a lot as you’re unable to recoup the gold spent. Which is why I mentioned that offering a bigger free reward in the game shop would be very helpful as it would also help in obtaining club components that are more expensive. Have a good day! ### 3/5 — Good game but needs changes for better player experience. *2023-08-09* 1) The games needs a better opportunity of getting crystals or gold coins other than when the player plays in “career” ”match” or “clan mode”. 2) Why is it more like a lottery instead of a guarantee when it comes to crafting crystals to see if you can obtain a club rank of 3 to 5 stars (isn’t that what the epic club box is for) because I would rather see the crystal crafting box be used for a guaranteed 6 star club of any kind. 3) Don’t like that you have to waste gold coins to unequipp equipment of any kind (as my crystals and gold are earned in a very tedious manner by playing every day until I get the required amount to buy what I need) Side note: I re downloaded the game again after a few years and when I logged in to the page where you customize your player it didn’t allow me to change to left handed control from the typical right handed control. **Developer response:** Hello! The worst though is the economy. What the game gives you in terms of upgrades and progress reaches an impassible point. Failing upgrades are about a 99% rate. Reward rates for clubs and components are selfishly very low. How anybody can spend real world money on this game at a 99% failure rate boggles my mind. Example.. you can get a top club if you spend months working up enough credits and boxes. I finally did and got mine, but the stats on the club are so pathetic I can’t even use it. On chip shots to the hole or any shot that looks like it might hole out the slo mo focuses in on the ball that is just about to drop in the hole and suddenly the ball takes off like a rocket and rolls 10 - 15 feet away. Seems to me this could be an easy fix. Difference in low level clubs and $ clubs are too drastically different... or ELO should be adjusted so that I'm playing against players I realistically have a chance to compete with. How am I to compete with someone out driving me by 100+ yds and a 20 ft putt guide? P2w is the only flaw. ### 3/5 — Great mechanics but gets boring fast, needs updates expansions badly *2021-10-15, version 1.4.2* Great mechanics and gameplay, animations and course graphics, as good as any mobile gold game, maybe the best. But the embarrassment of only 5 courses, no play custom options at all e.g. play 9 holes on a course. And don’t spend money, just do free only to extend it more. If the developers are not willing to spend a dime to expand what feels like a late beta test, why should anyone send them money? ### 3/5 — Game can’t overcome issues *2021-07-27, version 1.4.0* The game play is pretty good. The problem is trying to improve your equipment. It’s impossibly confusing. It’s so bad it ruins the game. You can never improve or play longer yardages. Really too bad because the game is well designed. It’s just boring playing the same thing without an opportunity to get better. ### 4/5 — Perfect swing *2021-07-27, version 1.4.0* Of all the golf games that I have found in my App Store this by far is my favorite because if you need to understand on how to adjust my swings and the graphics are really good. It’s just a really fun game. I guess if there was to be any improvement it would be to help guys like me who aren’t super smart about computer games to make it a little easier to buy additional clubs balls and such to improve my game. But seriously this is a great game. Thanks to the creators ### 3/5 — 5 star clubs *2021-06-08, version 1.3.7* I helped mina (the owner of the game) fix a glitch where people could match up against each other in Tour 9 and take turns winning 4 mythic boxes. I saved Mina thousands of dollars because it would only cost players 30 gems to get 20 mythic boxes. I was hoping they would send me at least a ORANGE meteor driver for helping them fix the problem. I asked about it and was told it would get sent to upper management for review. I never heard a single word back from them. Changed to 3 star because since I have wrote this REVIEW I have opened over 10 mythic boxes, and 1000 epic boxes.... not one Meteor...please remove the HEX/bad luck on my account. But the app is intentionally flawed in that area. You get the game coinage SOMETIMES. Bringing this to the attention of the is easy and gets a very quick response, but they require too much info to “prove” they goofed. Send pictures, give them the time stamps and you get your rewards but they never fix the problem. Frustrating. ### 2/5 — Great game, but cost a fortune *2021-04-10, version 1.3.4* I love the concept of this game, but after playing it for months now. I have even invested real money into it. Now it looks like I will have to spend more money into it so I can stay competitive with other players. I can buy a great X BOX game for $60 and never have to invest any more into it. With this game I’m willing to guess it is going to cost me about $200 to make it anywhere. I understand the company has to make money to keep developing the game, but your ripping all of us off. The matchmaking is pointless. There is no reason I should be matched at the 2nd level with someone who paid a bunch of money and is able to hit a drive 140 yards further than me. It should be skill/equipment based matchmaking. Or just have everyone use the same set of clubs in each individual level. Maybe the higher the matchmaking level the better the set of clubs. But seriously fix this part and the game would be the best golf game on the market. Get rid of pay to win. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Has Potential. Money Pit *2023-05-29* This game is ridiculous. There is potential, but the developer makes it way to difficult to upgrade clubs unless you dump a ton of money into it. There are way too many upgrade parameters to the point it’s confusing and too deep. I could see if it behaved well, but the wind is hardly accurate and you havee to learn to play what the computer will do. When you try to level for a trophy you go up against guys with more range and accuracy. It’s a complete mismatch, you lose every time. Money pit. Typical. It’s a shame. Thank you! ### 1/5 — Just don’t try this game, ever! *2022-07-27, version 1.4.7* The only good this game has is graphics. The entire game play experience is where they fail catastrophically! The only thing worse is the developer responses to the negative feedback! With all the bad reviews you would think they would make real changes. But they never do and never will, so take it from someone who has tried and came back after a long time away, just don’t play this game, ever! Deleting forever! ### 1/5 — Over it *2022-04-07, version 1.4.7* It takes a ridiculous amount of time to level up clubs. Then once you do, you realize you still can’t compete without “mythic clubs”, which are only found in mythic boxes, which again take a ridiculous amount of time to get. Oh and then once you do spend months collecting enough mythic boxes to get a club, it gives you a regular old piece of crap club worse than what you have. Decent game play but complete waste of time if it won’t let you advance. Deleting. ### 1/5 — Component power up fails? *2021-07-07, version 1.4.0* It is infuriating that power up attempts on a component of a club “fails”. You purchase the power up and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. This turns the power up button into a sort of slot machine, where you put your money in and hope for the best. This is clearly a ploy to induce people to put money into the game. If you pay for a power up you should be entitled to the upgrade. It makes no sense to transform this into a randomized event. ### 1/5 — Pay to play *2021-02-24, version 1.3.1* Typical.. starts out great, game is nice, which makes sense.. cause they are getting plenty of money from players. Once you have a few hours invested and like the game, your places against unfair opponents and if you don’t spend money to upgrade then you will just be frustrated at the unfairness. Typical pay to play game.. If you want to spend $100 bucks and get started with a good set and have a leg up the game is actually very good for that. But at that price I can be playing on ps5... I play this game religiously for the pas 9 months and then when a problem arises i get the same generic email from mina without fixing the problem that was clearly on her end! I’ve wasted to much time and money on this game already. To get good clubs you actually have to spend real money. which I’m ok with, and did. I bought the only four star clubs I could buy and can’t even reach the fairways in the career mode to win better stuff. I keep getting paired against players that can hit the ball 400 yards and I can only hit it 290 yards at most. I’m not looking for any freebies or hand outs. Game is a rip off. I’ll take my money back to golf clash. At least I know I have a chance to win. ### 1/5 — It’s “okay” *2020-10-28, version 1.1.9* I think the biggest downfall is that if you don’t spend actual money, you will spend forever in a constant cycle of the same course. There is zero chance to move ahead, as you will constantly play an opponent that plays -1. So even when you par the course, it’s hopeless as your opponent in career mode will play -1 every single time. Have played the same 3 holes at least 30 times . Simply cannot get past it because the computer opponent is better than perfect every time. I have spent 7 straight days in eagle glen he’ll. I’ve upgraded and power boosted every club. Nothing changes at all. I’m stuck with no chance of moving forward. About ready to delete the app. ### 2/5 — Great game… but bogus results *2021-09-15, version 1.4.1* Been playing Golf games over various platforms since they created PONG, so I have some experience playing, but this game is hinky.. Way too many things that, if you are a long time Golf player, you’ll notice the flaws despite the great graphics… Was loving the game until it noticed weird things were happening… that shouldn’t be happening… ### 2/5 — Still Giving It a Chance *2021-06-14, version 1.3.8* You start out with fairly crappy clubs where opponents out drive you by 50 yards. Makes advancing difficult and upgrading requires matching your superior AI opponents from this disadvantaged starting position. Graphics and such are great, but the concept of upgrading and getting new clubs is complex and not well explained. Should be easier to use. Update: I reached a point where the crappy clubs seem to make it impossible to advance. I think the way the game is constructed, you don’t have an even match against AI opponents, making it unlikely you can ever win, an therefore not much fun. It is not like a lot of the cartoonish golf games that are not realistic and don’t follow actual laws of physics. This means they cannot be considered simulation games. I’ve played PGA and WGT for a long time: Their pairings and advancement tiers are impeccable. I play your game for fun (don’t get me wrong, it really is!), but it feels like I’m on borrowed time unless you have the goodness to address these issues. P.S. Have a Perfect day! ### 5/5 — This game has been much improved since I last played *2022-11-08, version 1.4.7* This game is much improved by a bit but a bit in all the bad ways my shots are much improved playing against others on the different places you can see have been improved, no more shots going the wrong way from how you messed it up I’ve only had one wrong shot go to the opposite side of being hit when those things happened I quit playing because they make the game feel like it totally cheating. I’ve never had a bail I hit wrong on a live course do that once but they used to happen all the time once upon a time in prefect swing this still stands I think this game has. Ball control seems quite realistic compared to the real thing, and player avatars are realistic also. Look for +% stats str/acc/putt. The % nets more of a bonus than +number. Getting the best clubs is gonna take forever as f2p, work on getting the best components & max level them. Look at some of the better players in tourney screen, inspect their clubs&components. Wish they would add whisper in chat , do you could message folks individually. Currently you can only view someone playing in match play, should make clan matches viewable.
