## What is Periodic Table and Quiz?

THE FULL TABLE, INSTANTLY SEARCHABLE

Browse the complete periodic table in its familiar layout, or switch to a flat scrolling strip view for quick scanning on smaller screens. Search by element name, symbol, or atomic number and get results as you type. Color-code the entire table three different ways, by category (alkali metal, noble gas, halogen, and more), by physical phase at 20°C, or by electron block (s, p, d, f), to spot patterns Mendeleev built the table around in the first place.

EVERY ELEMENT IN 3D

Tap any element to open a fully interactive 3D atom viewer. Watch protons and neutrons cluster in the nucleus while electrons orbit in labeled shells (K, L, M, N...), color-coded and animated. Drag to rotate the model from any angle, pinch to zoom in on the nucleus, or toggle spin animation and shell labels on or off. It's one thing to read that iron has 26 electrons across four shells. It's another to see it turning in your hand.

A NEW WAY TO SEE THE ELEMENTS: 4D

Beyond the standard table, Periodic Table & Quiz includes an original 4D quantum-lattice view that projects every element into a space built from its actual quantum numbers: principal shell (n), orbital shape (l), orbital orientation (mₗ), and spin (ms). Rotate through this lattice to see relationships between elements that the flat, two-dimensional table simply can't show. This is the kind of visualization you won't find in any other periodic table app.

QUIZ MODE: BUILT TO MAKE IT STICK

Looking things up isn't the same as knowing them. The flashcard quiz mode exists specifically to close that gap, pulling random questions from across all 118 elements (symbols, atomic numbers, categories, electron configurations, and more) and asking you to actively recall the answer before revealing it. That act of retrieval, rather than passive rereading, is what actually moves facts from short-term recognition into long-term memory. Track your streak as you go, and use it as a quick five-minute warm-up before an exam or a longer daily study habit. Either way, the quiz is there to reinforce what the table and 3D views teach you, not just repeat it back.

DEPTH WHEN YOU NEED IT

Every element page includes atomic mass, full electron configuration, electrons per shell, valence electron count, the differentiating electron with its full quantum numbers, Madelung group, block/group/period, phase at 20°C, melting and boiling points, electronegativity, discovery year, and a short, plain-English summary of what makes that element notable.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Periodic Table & Quiz runs entirely on your device. There's no account to create, no login screen, no ads, no analytics, and no internet connection required. It works exactly the same on a plane at 30,000 feet as it does at home. Nothing about how you use the app or what you study is ever collected, because there's no server for it to go to.

Whether you're cramming for a chemistry exam, teaching a class, or just curious about the elements that make up everything around you, Periodic Table & Quiz puts the whole periodic table, and a genuinely new way to visualize and actually learn it, in your pocket.

### How does the quiz mode in Periodic Table and Quiz work?

The quiz mode uses flashcards to test your knowledge of elements, including symbols, atomic numbers, categories, and electron configurations. It focuses on active recall to help move facts from short-term recognition to long-term memory.

### Does Periodic Table and Quiz require an internet connection?

No, Periodic Table and Quiz works entirely offline. It requires no internet connection, no account creation, and no login screen, making it a private and distraction-free learning tool.

### What kind of detailed information is available for each element?

Each element page includes atomic mass, full electron configuration, electrons per shell, valence electron count, quantum numbers, Madelung group, block/group/period, phase at 20°C, melting and boiling points, electronegativity, discovery year, and a plain-English summary.

### What makes the 4D quantum-lattice view in Periodic Table and Quiz unique?

The 4D quantum-lattice view projects each element into a space based on its quantum numbers (n, l, mₗ, ms). This allows users to visualize relationships between elements that are not apparent in a standard 2D periodic table.

### Is Periodic Table and Quiz suitable for younger learners?

Yes, Periodic Table and Quiz has an age rating of 4+, making it suitable for a wide range of users, including younger students learning about chemistry. The interactive 3D models can enhance understanding.
