## What is Periplous?

From a traveler, for travelers.

I'm Nikos. I built Periplous on my own, here in Greece, because I was tired of planning
trips across twenty browser tabs and then losing the whole thing in my camera roll
afterwards.

So Periplous does both halves. It plans the trip, and it keeps it.

The planner writes you a real day. Where to have breakfast near where you're staying,
what's worth the walk, and which museum is shut on Mondays so you don't turn up to a
locked door. Tell it who's coming, whether you've been before, what you can't eat, and how
much walking you're up for. Or tell it nothing and it still works.

The journal is the part I use most. Photos from the trip, a few words while it's still
fresh, and a world map that fills in country by country. Friends can follow along and read
your posts in their own language.

There's also a trip map with every stop pinned by day, a packing list that checks the
forecast first, a currency converter, and a clean PDF you can print and carry with you.

The journal is free forever. Unlimited posts, unlimited photos, the map, all of it. You
also get three AI itineraries to see whether the planning side is for you. Premium unlocks
the rest.

A periplous was what ancient Greek sailors called the account they wrote of a coastline,
so the next person would know what to expect. The first travel guides were somebody's
journal. It felt like the right name.

No ads. No tracking. Nothing sold to anyone. Export everything or delete everything,
whenever you want.
