## What is Persian Santur Tuner?

Description

Persian Santur Tuner is made for the 9-kharak (9-bridge) Persian santur. It listens through the microphone and shows how close each string is to its target, in cents. You can also tap any note to hear a sine-wave reference at the correct pitch.

 How to use it
Choose a dastgah or avaz, then Sol (G) or Do (C). Yellow, White, and High are the three string banks, from bass to treble. Play a string: the app names the note, shows the frequency, and moves the − / + meter. The marker is green when you are inside the in-tune window. Tap a kharak to hear that pitch; the tone keeps sounding if you tap another note before it ends.

 Dastgah and avaz
The seven dastgahs are Shur, Homayoun, Segah, Chahargah, Mahur, Nava, and Rast-Panjgah. Each has a 9-bridge chart for Sol and Do. C and G stay natural; other bridges may be koron, sori, or flat, depending on the mode.

Avaz use the same 9-bridge set as their parent:
- Shur: Dashti, Abu Ata, Bayat-e Turk, Afshari, Bayat-e Kord
- Homayoun: Esfahan, Shushtari

High-register Sol can differ slightly (for example La flat in Shur, or sori on the last Fa in Chahargah).

You can also switch to chromatic 12-TET or 24-TET (quarter tones, with s = sori and k = koron) if you want equal temperament instead of a dastgah chart.

 Settings
All of these are saved when you close the app.

- A4 , Concert pitch, from 430 to 450 Hz (default 440). Every note is calculated from this reference.
- In tune window , How many cents off a string may be and still count as in tune (default +/- 6 cents, adjustable +/-3 to +/-12). A smaller window is stricter; a larger one is more forgiving. The meter turns green only inside this window.
- Persian intervals , Koron and sori size, from 30 to 70 cents (default 50). Koron lowers a note; sori raises it. C and G stay natural in every dastgah; koron and sori only move the other bridges. Reset defaults restores A4 440, +/- 6 cents, and 50-cent koron/sori.

Works entirely on the device. No account and no internet required.
