## What is Personal Coach?

Personal Coach is a focused workout planner and log book for one
person — you. No accounts, no ads, no cloud syncing, no social
features. Just the routine, the timer, and your numbers.

  WHAT'S INSIDE
  • A 4-week rotation built around progressive overload — Base Build,
Volume Focus, Intensity Focus, and a Recovery week.
  • Strength routines for Upper Body Pull, Upper Body Push, and Lower
Body, with Standard / Heavier / Lighter intensity variations
    matching the rotation.
  • Endurance and HIIT sessions in 1-hour, 2-hour, and recovery
    variants.
  • Anti-Rotation and Anti-Flexion core extensions automatically
alternated and bundled into each strength day.
  • A Dedicated Core session for swap-out days.

  LOCATION-AWARE
Pick where you are — home, commercial gym, hotel gym, or pool —
and the app shows the routine that actually works there. Variants
that don't fit (e.g. heavy lifts in a pool) are clearly marked.

  GUIDED RUN
Tap Start and walk through the routine one step at a time. Each
step shows the form notes, sets × reps, and a YouTube tutorial
link. For exercises that involve weights, a log sheet pops up
between steps with your last three sessions pre-filled — so you
always know what to push toward.

  EXERCISE GLOSSARY
50 exercises with setup, movement, common mistakes, what you should
feel, and scaling tips. Save your favorite YouTube tutorial per
exercise. Tap any exercise to see exactly which routines use it.

  HISTORY
A monthly calendar marks the days you trained, with a reverse-
chronological list of every session and the exact sets/reps you
  logged.

  PRIVACY
Everything is stored locally on your device using Apple's
SwiftData. No accounts, no analytics, no third-party trackers,
  no data leaves your phone.

  REQUIREMENTS
iPhone running iOS 17 or later.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.1.0 — 2026-05-02

- New Mobility category in the Glossary, with 5 warm-up moves
    (cat-cow, world's greatest stretch, cobra stretch, child's
pose, supine spinal twists) and 3 new dynamic core exercises
(bicycle crunches, single-arm farmer carry, standing band
oblique press). Glossary now has 58 exercises.
  - Quick Start picker redesign: locations shown as icons
(house / dumbbell / building / pool); workouts grouped by
category (Upper / Lower / Core / HIIT / Cardio) with chip
selection. Cardio chips use compact labels ("60m easy",
    "60m", "90m", "120m", "120m efforts").
  - Tap any exercise name inside a warmup, cooldown, or core
circuit step to jump to its glossary detail.
  - Dedicated Core (Standard) routine timing fixed to match its
    declared 45-minute duration.
  - YouTube buttons now open via standard https universal link
(more reliable when the YouTube app is already open).
  - iPhone-only (iPad target removed; the UI is iPhone-shaped).
