### 4/5 — Informative

*2018-03-08, version 1.2.4*

Great app for those exploring MBTI. Thanks for the update! Looking through it again after all this time and still learning from it.

### 4/5 — Update plz

*2016-09-20, version 1.2.4*

This app need updating. To mention a few problems.... Crash's periodically. Test results unchanged from pervious tester even thou new person is added. Its so frustrating and embarrassing when that "new person" takes the test giving each question consideration and thought. When the tester gets to question 19 *FLASH* they are blown out to the home screen.... Even thou there are issues its a great app! Would otherwise be five 🌟 in my book. Is there going to be an update anytime soon? I do hope so... its a great app but there are problems.

### 3/5 — Needs update

*2016-06-22, version 1.2.2*

Not working properly with current Apple update. Great app when it was working though.

### 4/5 — Good app but cannot save more than 2 profiles

*2015-08-06, version 1.2.2*

When I try to add a third profile, he app freezes every time. Please update.

### 3/5 — A great help, but needs improvement!

*2014-10-28, version 1.2.2*

The assessments function work well, but I can't add additional profiles or delete them. When I attempt to do either, it freezed the app. Is there a fix on this?

### 3/5 — Only English language.

*2012-04-10*

Please add another language (Russian)!

### 4/5 — Good

*2011-04-09, version 1.2.2*

Rudimentary but usable coverage of MBTI. Great for a quick type assessment and comparison with friends or coworkers.

### 2/5 — Cheap Meyers-Briggs Knockoff

*2010-12-03, version 1.2.2*

I just realized, the reported cognitive processes according to Meyers-Briggs theory. It said I am ENFP. It then said that I most enjoy "Extraverted thinking"... it should be "Extraverted iNtuition". My extraverted preference is my "Perceiving", so the it's looking in the wrong category for my preferred function.

This app is a cheap knockoff of Meyers-Briggs theory.

Old_________________________
This app is simple, straightforward, and easy to use... to the point that it is not a good representation of the Meyers-Briggs personality types.

It is:
   - Simple, but oversimplified
   - Straightforward, but not accurate
   - Easy to use, and easy to misinterpret

Also, the questions in the test have very biased wording, so that if I am familiar with the types, I am more likely to choose based on the type I Expect, instead of the type I Want.

### 4/5 — Pretty Good...

*2010-04-02, version 0*

My dad works as a training specailist for MBT and has taught me that I am an ENFP while my brother is an INFJ. I took the test myself and it was accurate. While comparing me to my brother, it said my brother "strongly uses introverted thinking but may not rely on introverted thinking". That should be fixed in the next update.

### 4/5 — Cool app for Myers Briggs

*2010-01-23*

... lots of info, especially love the comparison of types. worth the money

### 2/5 — Compare broke

*2010-01-16, version 0*

When comparing you have to manually adjust the types. It does not pull from the inputted profile. Test seam accurate thus far. Would raise rating with some cleaning up and adding some profile trading with other people.

### 4/5 — Nice job. Happy to have it.

*2010-01-15*

As said in title, this is a nice app (elegant, but also well done for users).
As I am interested in MBTI, it's good to me to have it in my pocket.
Only few comments for a future update:
- for comparison between 2 peoples, it could be cool to have access through a list to already recorded people.
- for adding a person, if the MBTI profile is already identified through an external test, it could be cool to just choose it on the grid or from a list.
- copy function, email option could also be very helpul for communication (or for translation on Internet).
With all that, it would be perfect to me.
Thanks for this app, not too expensive compared to the interest of the approach.

### 5/5 — Love it. Needs temperament explanation and profiling entries.

*2009-11-24, version 0*

Love it, well done. For those not sure, as it is a little pricey, have a look at the excellent support site to see the range and style of info on the app.
One of the nicest uses of the coding here, is seeing your type results graphically: the more you are of one type the more it is lit up and the less you are of a type the more it is faded out.
Love the graphics, the range of information and the three different questionairres. For the latter, I think replacing or rewording the repeat questions across the three tests would give a fairer result - otherwise we can remember our previous answers and do not take the test afresh.
The four coloured temperaments NT, NF, SP and SJ are prominently graphically featured yet poorly and lightly explained; you also would have to dig about in one sub-section to find what they are.
Recommendations:
More use of interactivity - E.g. press on a type, it's opposite type lights up.
Four new buttons for more info on the four temperament colours.
Quick MBTI profiling recording. For example, I estimate my new client is a procedural, introvert but I am unsure of other characteristics. I then could enter those two in, I - - J, and it records the entry for later use. Adding the colour coding to the entries, which may be several possible temperment colours, if the profile is incomplete, would be a nice and quick graphical way of viewing the entries too.

### 2/5 — Entertainment for amateur psychologist?

*2009-11-21*

This salad of different psychological tests is hardly of any use; nor in clinical practice, neither in the research field. Is it good only to make general public more sensitive to psychological issues?

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2016-11-26, version 1.2.4*

I cannot even open this app. I paid for it but it's worthless.

### 1/5 — Old and unresponsive

*2016-02-28, version 1.2.2*

This app needs updating big time! The information within is great, except the app constantly freezes and will no longer allow me to run through another personality test. Very disappointed with the product especially considering what I paid for it.

### 1/5 — Busted

*2015-10-27, version 1.2.2*

Doesn't work for a second time. I did my own profile once and managed to get an accurate description of my type. Since then it just freezes every attempt I make to use the app, it was expensive considering it was only good for one use. I feel ripped off.

### 1/5 — Bad

*2012-02-29, version 1.2.2*

I don't recommend this app. Everything is much too vague.

### 1/5 — Nett

*2009-10-20*

Nette App. aber nicht wirklich Überschaubar aufgebaut  wie kann man vom Kauf zurücktreten?

### 1/5 — Massive scam

*2009-06-17, version 0*

As a student of psychology I am more than dissapointed. A personality test that is 8 questions? Please don't buy this app.

### 1/5 — Disappointment

*2009-06-16, version 0*

A personality cannot be accurately determined in 8 questions. Might be useful as a reference for personality types, but for personality assesment, big failure.

### 1/5 — Save your money

*2009-06-09, version 0*

Not worth it as the results are not very specific. A more in-depth assessment would be an improvement.

### 2/5 — Does not work anymore

*2015-02-04, version 1.2.2*

I loved this app, but it has not worked since iOS 8 came out and there have been no updates. I miss it!!

### 2/5 — It mistyped me.

*2011-09-24, version 1.2.2*

I like this app but I bought it so I could type friends of mine without needing Internet access. I know my type, this app does not. I feel 40 questions is a bit thin for a decent sample and the results support that. 8 questions? -Are you kidding me? Who thought that was a good idea? Not a good way to build rapport with anyone who knows anything about type theory. I hope in the future the tests will take typing people more seriously.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2020-12-19, version 1.2.4*

This is my favorite MBTI reference app. I use it to explain MBTI to my friends and family!!

### 5/5 — Improvements

*2015-11-12, version 1.2.2*

1. The profiles section is glitchy please sort it.

2. We need a "trade off section"
For instance:

ENFP - ESTJ

Ne
Fi

Te
Si

Which should highlight mastering your other conscious functions in order of preference, and vice verse for each trade off.

3. We need a "Middle ground section"
For instance:

At a glance common ground with another type, for swifter assistance in mutual agreement topics or modes of interaction.

4. Fix your compare section! Cheers :)

### 5/5 — Love the update!

*2010-12-20, version 1.2.2*

Wow there's an entire book worth of material in here! And very accessible and practical.

Some of the reviews say that elements are off. But the theory stuff looks spot on to me. Look and think and you'll see!

There's a lot of great observations about the types. I've used Myers Briggs but haven't seen the keywords before--what a neat idea and they totally work. Spooky! And I'm finally learning the types. The icon for each one helps.

The relationship match ups have got me thinking.

This is totally a type junky's dream come true.

### 5/5 — Get to know yourself and others better

*2010-11-01, version 0*

Whoa, this is sooooo cool! I was taking the test and it totally helped me understand myself better.

And a little secret for everyone else out there: if you want to get to know your friends better, then have them take the test and then you both look at their results... It definitely helps me communicate better with my friends now that I know their personality types from this handy (and fun!) little app.

### 5/5 — wow!

*2010-08-05*

this application simply rocks. You can do many individual MBTI profiles within the app and compare them to each other with great results & recommendations. Simply stunning!

### 5/5 — I accidentally rated this low when I sat on my iPod

*2010-06-19, version 0*

I love, love this app! I can deal with coworkers on a more effective level now. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Excellent distillation of the multiple-level model

*2010-05-11, version 0*

I highly recommend getting this app and PsychTypes (by BSM Consulting) together and using them in tandem. Both are excellent and come from sources that have taught me a great deal in depth about the whole subject. In fact this app uses a deeper and more effective version of the personality type model than the other one does. A caveat: the version of the MBTI on this app, like any other version of the MBTI, is only meant to be taken as a first approximation and is right the first time only 70% of the time. (For decades I was mistyped as an INTJ by the MBTI; it took professional counseling for me to figure out that I'm in fact an ENFP, as some ENFPs are wannabe INTJs.) The MBTI is really meant to be taken under the administration of someone qualified to give it and to give feedback on how one actually behaves rather than how one thinks he behaves. That's one reason why Dr. Nardi takes other approaches on this app which may be more helpful in figuring out what type one truly is at the "core".

### 5/5 — Great update for an already great app!!!

*2010-03-04, version 0*

Great update!
The 40 questions got me thinking about my type and I got a better understanding of it.
Really does teach you so much about yourself and others.
Almost magical at parts, especialy the suggested words that people react to.
It is fun!
Got this app and already used in many real life situations, with my friends and at work. Really makes communication easier!
I have tried the app in some real world situations and found it immensly helpful! It has helped me in a business meeting I had and with my friends.
Love it! Highly recomnded!

### 5/5 — Good basic start

*2010-02-22, version 0*

This app is a very good introduction to the basic Myers Briggs personality typing.
Some of the classifications of the types seem a trifle odd to me but the general explanations of the typing system and how this is assessed is very good.
The interface is beautiful and easy to use.
I personally use this for writing but I have also used it to explain typing to friends and to deal with work colleagues who think in a very different way to me.
Very useful and worth the price.

### 5/5 — Good, Informative and Relatively Useful

*2010-02-12, version 0*

A bit pricey, but it is a useful and informative app. Relatively accurate, and you can keep track of some friends and compare results. I can recommend this app.
