## Newest reviews (4 of 22)

### 1/5 — Useless without Vet signup

*2024-08-26, version 1.9.1*

Looks like a useful app. Shame it can’t be used if your Vet is not signed up to the service.

### 1/5 — No option to delete a pet record

*2024-05-26, version 1.9.1*

After selecting my vet clinic for my cats and the pets attending that clinic I then added other pets who attend different clinic (dogs). Then discovered you can’t add more than one clinic. This is not realistic.

Then I discovered I cannot delete a pets record. I checked FAQ which states there is an option to delete but they must have hidden it because I cannot find it as described. Super annoying.

### 1/5 — It used to work :(

*2024-05-04, version 1.9.1*

It worked well in 2023. I went to install it on a new phone and it kept telling me my phone number was not recognised. Went to set up a new account, said my phone number was already in use. Reset my login, and now the app just won’t open :/

### 1/5 — QR code is useless

*2023-08-03, version 1.7.0*

My vet had this advertised, via a brochure on their reception desk, so I thought I’d give it a go, but the app didn’t recognise the QR code so everything, and I mean everything, had t be entered manually. And I have 2 dogs so, in my case, everything had to be entered manually, twice. Really disappointing!!!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Linking to a vet clinic should be optional

*2026-05-30, version 1.13.0*

Looks like a great app but you can only use it if your vet clinic is a participating clinic. Can’t even create an account without linking to a vet clinic!

### 1/5 — App won’t load

*2026-05-28, version 1.13.0*

When the app was working for me it was fantastic. However now, when I open it sits on the loading screen and never progresses. Both the app and my iPhone are up to date. When I try to submit “technical difficulties” feedback through the Pet Passport website, nothing happens when I click the submit button. There is no direct phone number or email to contact for issues.

### 1/5 — Stick to paper

*2026-05-21, version 1.13.0*

This app is terrible, continuous loading screen. Deleted the app redownloaded and still can’t log in

### 1/5 — App won’t open

*2026-04-22, version 1.13.0*

The app just gets the spinning circle of death when trying to open it. Won’t load

### 1/5 — QR code scan doesn’t work

*2025-12-23, version 1.13.0*

This app needs access to the camera to scan QR codes for vet treatment events but the scanning UI just shows a black screen with the framing square, despite granting camera access to the app, restarting the app and restarting the phone. iPhone 16 on the latest iOS version.

### 1/5 — Failing to load

*2025-12-12, version 1.13.0*

Frustrated by completing setup and go to use it a t boarding kennel and it doesn’t load. Spinning wheel of doom. Waited for ages, updated. Nothing.

### 1/5 — Utter garbage

*2025-09-10, version 1.12.0*

Can’t login across multiple devices. Hateful UI.

### 1/5 — App doesn’t open

*2025-08-30, version 1.12.0*

This app was good when it worked. But it doesn’t work anymore. Freezes on the opening screen, thinking.

### 1/5 — No longer opens

*2025-08-26, version 1.12.0*

This app is still sending me reminders but it will no longer open to add new vaccinations etc.

### 1/5 — App no longer opens

*2025-07-19, version 1.12.0*

For some reason the app just won’t load. Phone and app are up to date, but it just stays on the initial screen 🧐

## Most praised reviews (8 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Enviro friendly

*2024-02-22, version 1.9.1*

I have been using a paper passport for all my pets over many years. Finally, I don’t have to carry these with me every time I go to the clinic. Having all my pets details on the phone means I’ll also not forget to take the vaccination record. Good for the environment too.

### 5/5 — So easy to use!

*2023-08-02, version 1.7.0*

Such a great app. I can keep all of my pets information conveniently in one spot. Some useful healthcare advice for my furry friend as well!

### 5/5 — Finally!

*2023-03-13, version 1.1.0*

My vet in North West Sydney put me onto this. Finally someone has made an app where I can keep my dogs vaccine certificates and pretty much everything for both cats. Much better than those annoying cardboard sheets

### 4/5 — Great app could be so much better

*2026-06-30, version 1.13.0*

The app allows the owner to not only keep an electronic vaccination record, but also record other events such as fits. It would be good if this had capacity to report back to your nominated vet automatically. This would save time for the user and vet in updating critical records at the surgery.

### 4/5 — Help

*2025-08-17, version 1.12.0*

The app was great. I had both my dog’s information logged. But now the app won’t open. Very frustrating. If you can help that would be great.

### 4/5 — Access can’t be optional..!

*2025-05-05, version 1.12.0*

I have used this App avidly and thoroughly appreciated everything that it offers consistently… until the last month when I simply cannot get in! My iPhone is up to date, the App is updated itself but all I get is…🔄! Help!

### 3/5 — Was good when it was working

*2025-08-04, version 1.12.0*

It was great to have a digital record of my dog’s vaccinations etc. at my fingertips and shareable.
However despite my being up to date and on an up to date iPhone, the app no longer opens.
I’ve followed the App Support link but the website does not recognise Pet Passport as a search term.
The site given in response to a previous review doesn’t exist - the URL is incomplete.
Any assistance would be much appreciated as this is such a potentially useful app.
Thank you

### 3/5 — Excellent idea but needs work

*2023-12-18, version 1.9.1*

I love this idea so much but my vet assured me this would count as proof of vaccination to my kennel but the email button to send it to my dogs kennel doesn’t show up for me and just screenshotting the vaccination page means nothing to them because there is no pet name listed on that page. I had to send the screenshot and follow it up with my invoice that the vet emailed me as proof of payment and the dog it was given to for the kennel to cross reference and then also call them to discuss this issue before they would accept it as proof. If the pets basic details like name, date of birth, breed and microchip number, were at the top of the vaccination record it would fix all these issues so that just a screenshot could be enough if the email function isn’t working yet.
