Best thing ever for an excitable dog!!! ### 5/5 — Helpful *2024-02-17, version 4.0.9* I chose the app collar over the non app collar and I am happy that I did. On more than one occasion I have needed the phone correction tool to help with jumping on guests. I was even surprised when I messaged my dealer through the app on a Sunday asking a silly question and someone actually responded! ### 5/5 — The app does help *2024-02-16, version 4.0.9* The app does help me to correct my dogs unwanted behaviors. It works best in a “sting” approach, so already connected, waiting for the dog to mess up. I mostly use it for indoors since outside my dogs fence can get him out of Bluetooth range. Being able to reset collar functions is helpful so I don’t have to call my dealer. I have also lost my collar outside and used the app and beep from the remote trainer to help to find it. The simple fact I can adjust a correction level on my phone rather than drive to a store so they can do it is a game changer. My dealer explained how to properly use the app to do exactly what I want it to do. It also dowant reach very far. If my dog is in the back yard, it will not connect. Lastly, the lastest update changed the way the data for wanrnings and corrections happen. I hate the calender and wish I could click to see the exact data a correction or warning took place not a date range. Pretty common that your dog may be more than 15feet away, wish I wouldve had this detail before installing the system as I picked for the app feature. ### 5/5 — Perfect training tool *2022-10-12, version 4.0.1* This app works wonders if you use it as instructed. My pet stop dealer sat down with me for an hour showing me exactly how to use it. For the first few weeks, whenever we were cooking in the kitchen I had the collar connected and would correct the dog when he would start sniffing at the counter and I knew he was about to jump! After one week, he was barely interested in this any longer. You have to stay consistent to actually stop the behavior and not be scrambling for your phone when it’s too late, as many of the previous reviews experienced. If you use this app correctly, you will actually see real improvement with your dogs behaviors. I absolutely love it and highly recommend. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Collar out of range at 10 (or so) feet! *2024-10-12, version 4.0.9* My dog has adapted to the fence and flags quite well. However, I was counting on the app to be able to control “bad” behavior in the yard liking eating grass, nuts, sticks etc. The app only works if he is what appears to be next to me. Pretty much useless. And the sound is next to nothing! DON’T!! This has been the most stressful year of our lives. The app barely ever works and continuously tells us “Invalid Pin” if it lets us connect at all. I could continue on, but what’s the point. DON’T DO IT!! ### 1/5 — Too Slow and Wring Collar *2023-02-16, version 4.0.6* I have been using this app for over a year now. By the time it connects to the collar, usually the dog is done doing the bad habit. I have three dogs using this. When I connect to the dogs collar that needs to be corrected, it will connect to the wrong collar and correct the wrong dog. I then have to remove all of the collars from the app and reconnect them all to fix this issue. I’ve had to do this multiple times. I would really like to see this fixed! ### 1/5 — New App Version *2023-01-26, version 4.0.6* Old version was so much better. With this version you cannot tell how many warnings or corrections your dog is getting. New version is this silly calendar view without even a legend to tell you what it means. It takes way way way too long to connect to the collar, by the time it gets connected it’s no longer needed. Also, the range isn’t far enough to be useful and it’s always disconnecting. There’s not even a way to reset the pin. ### 1/5 — not reliable at all! *2022-08-11, version 4.0.1* do not rely on this app to remember the collar itself. everytime you open the app you have to reinstall the collar being used. there is absolutely no reliability. the collar and app do not connect for about 20/30 mins. if at all. your dog has now moved onto 87 other things before the app will connect to the collar. and if it does happen to connect, god forbid the dog moves more than 3 feet from you because - you guessed it! it disconnects and you have to start all over! so glad we paid extra to upgrade 🙄 when i called to ask why this was happening they told me to reset the collar by placing it on the dock…. of o have to do this everytime the collar will be on the dock more than the dog?! this is more hassle then it’s worth so far ### 1/5 — New update is horrible *2022-04-05, version 3.0.6* We selected our electronic fence because of the remote trainer feature. Feature worked great on the way old app. Upgraded the app and now it takes forever to connect and just spins. Bernie Knight who is always very responsive took us through the training and showed us how to use the app which is super simple. I can’t recommend this collar and app enough. Easy to use and when I first saw it open I thought it was intimidating but it’s actually very intuitive. Our dog has adapted to everything very well and it’s given both us and the dog a new level of freedom. ### 5/5 — Great app *2024-02-21, version 4.0.9* This app is amazing! It transforms my Pet Stop collar into a remote trainer that works inside and outside of my Pet Stop dog fence. Now I can use the this when I take my dog on walks or to the park. My GSP responds great to the beep. My dealer is also able to make adjustments to the collar remotely so I don’t have to wait for a visit from them! My favorite part of this app is the remote control that activates the collar to curb bad behaviors. I was able to stop my dog from jumping on visitors at the door, and stop the aggressive barking out the windows as other dogs walk by.
