You never know if the app will open. I have waited over 10 minutes at times then give up. Today I’m not able to close the app !!!! I’m not able to log out ! I have tried to reload the app but now it will open from the App Store but the icon is not visible 😡 Worst of all when I try to to log out it is frozen which means I can’t tell if my information is also visible or hackable since I can’t log out 😡😡😡😡😡🤬!!!! Oh and I can’t access support from the app either 🤬 This has been going on now for a month + where I can’t download the app but access my account only from the App Store ! For the last couple months the app has not been showing any payments I have made and also says “You’re all set this month! Your next payment is due (day in this month)”. I have called support several times and each time they ask me if I have tried pulling it up on the website and uninstalling and reinstalling the app. None of those work. They tell me everything looks fine on their end and that they will pass my complaints along. The app constantly crashes, lags, deletes information, etc… but the card is awesome! Some pages don’t load when you click the different pages or buttons, and I typically need to zoom out to the app overview and then go back in for the pages to load. This occurs even when the app is updated. ### 2/5 — nice card but the app recently has been awful. *2026-06-09, version 9.0.0* it used to work perfectly, now when i sign in it takes SOOO long to load. then when i try and pay it’ll take forever, or if im going to settings. everything takes so long they all take forever, like its just white but you can scroll down and see a wrong balance in the current balance section. weird, i have to go to the recent apps for it to load. for some reason, it loads better in the background than when im using it in the app, very tedious. i’ve updated hoping it gets fixed for months but it hasn’t yet. really hope it gets fixed asap! ### 1/5 — App is horrible *2026-05-31, version 8.5.0* I have been using petal for more than a year now and it’s great in every way! The app for the last couple of months is extremely terrible. All of the great features I used to be able to use don’t work at all. And even when trying to make payments every month it will say submitting for minutes. The only way I know it still works is because I get an email verification of payment. I’ve had to link my bank account multiple times and it still says it needs to be linked again even when it can take payments directly from it. Now I can’t even login to the app, “logging in” icon appears but I wanted minutes and it never worked. ### 1/5 — Don’t get this card *2026-05-29, version 8.5.0* This card is just so bad! Has a lot of restrictions and they have a lot of “unsupported merchants” so you can’t actually use your credit card to buy a lot of stuff so it’s so limited. They charge an annual fee which is crazy given the restrictions and especially considering that a lot of other banks don’t charge these kind of fees anymore. Don’t make the mistake I made and avoid this option. Idk what happened but I can't even log into the app anymore. Across multiple phones and including desktop versions, Petal servers are incredibly slow and get hung up. Some screens just never load at certain parts of the day including the PAYMENT SCREEN. I got a new card in the mail and I literally can’t active it. I’ve tried on the app and on the desktop over and over and it doesn’t work so I now have to call the support line. AVOID THIS COMPANY ### 1/5 — Horrible in every way *2026-07-12, version 9.0.0* Constantly needs me to relink my bank account, and makes me worried I’m not paying my amount due because the app is so slow and the UI does not show anything it does not work. I have a passion for how much I dislike this card and although I am very responsible with money could negatively affect my credit score for years to come just because this app is horrible. They gave me a small credit line to start and I made my payments. They assured me if I continue making payments on time my limit would go up. As of now my limit is 5K! I believe I started at $500. Unfortunately for me, I invested 80,000 GBP worth of bitcoin with a fraudulent company. I was happy to watch my account grow to 280,000 GBP within a couple of weeks. But i didn't realize i was dealing with a scam company, until i tried to make an attempt to withdraw. I made a withdrawal request, and noticed my account was suddenly blocked for no apparent reason. I tried contacting customer support, but all to no avail. I needed my money back at all cost, because i could not afford to let it go. So i tried all possible means to make sure i recovered my scammed bitcoin. I did a lot of online search for help, and tried to see if there were other people who had any similar experience. I stumbled upon a cryptocurrency forum were a couple of people mentioned that they had been through the same process but were able to recover their lost cryptocurrency, funds with the help of itech koa. So i file a report and he was able to help me get back all my lost funds within two weeks. I will recommend anybody who wants to recover scammed bitcoin, stolen cryptocurrency, funds lost to binary options forex, investment and any other form of online scam, reach out to itechkoa@Gmail. ### 5/5 — Helps jumpstart your credit *2022-08-08, version 4.13.2* Listen—when I was young, I made not-the-best financial decisions and it negatively impacted my credit score. Petal genuinely got me on a path toward rebuilding my score, with it increasing by over 100 points and dramatically increasing my overall available credit among my cards. I’ve gone from being declined Discover cards to now holding AmEx, and my credit has never been better. Petal is a great card to get you back on the path toward financial stability and help jumpstart your credit; I’m giving it 5 Stars. ### 5/5 — Easy to Use *2021-10-15, version 4.10.1* I love Petal and the app, it’s extremely helpful for building credit and budgeting. ***The only issue with the app is if you accidentally click on Leap from the bottom menu, there’s no way to exit without closing the app on iOS.
