It’s difficult to tell if it is working fine or not because the clump stays so long before it drops. This is due to my cat peeing same spot every time. “The machine isn’t able to break the large concrete clump apart so I have to go in with the scoop to break it into smaller clumps after I do that the machine works almost perfectly. I love the machine even with the small inconvenience it’s so much better than changing the litter box. Lastly no smell as soon as it runs the cleaning cycle you have just a light floral smell from the cleaning. I gave a 5 because the machine works as it should and it would work better if My cat wouldn’t always pee in the same spot or pee so much at once. ### 5/5 — LOvE this! *2025-02-07, version 1.0.1* This is our first automatic litter box! We got a kitten about three or four months ago and started with the basic litter box litter, and a scooper my son, and I quickly realized what a mess and a pain and awful smell and awful sight. It was! This is also our first cat. We were in a hurry to find something that would alleviate all of those things. I searched lots of places and lots of different types of automatic litter boxes. This one was a little more less expensive than some of the other ones and I found it on Amazon for what said “used in new condition“ for less than half the price. Since I was only paying a little more than $150 for this one I thought I would go ahead and try it and see how I liked it. we just got it set up days ago and we love it! I absolutely love the app where when I’m at work I can periodically if I want check and see how often the cat is using it, as well as set the timer for cleaning and deodorizing. So far everything is running smoothly, and I am gradually growing more peace of mind that the litter box situation is taken care of itself. It is a huge relief to myself and my son. We also moved the litter box from the guest bathroom to an area downstairs that is in a small hallway leading out to the back patio. I was concerned that because the litter box isn’t completely enclosed that the smell would carry through from the back out into other areas of the house, but it has not! We are extremely happy with our new automatic litter box and I would recommend this to anyone who is thinking about it or on the fence. ### 5/5 — No fuss no muss *2025-02-07, version 1.0.1* This cat box is great for the family. The cat loves it! There’s less effort and no bad smell YES!!! ### 4/5 — Not as easy as it looks *2025-02-05, version 1.0.1* The auto scoop feature does work really well. Not all cats like it and that causes problems. There is no check bag feature. YOU must do it yourself. And then top off the litter. Be sure to replace the bag before replacing the litter. You will never have enough room in the bag. With 2 cats, 3 days is long enough. 4 days is too long. I’ve tried to figure out the other features and some of them look useful. However I have to unplug the unit every time to change the bag or it will start cycling without a bag if I’m not done. It doesn’t know that the door is open even when I tell it I’m changing the bag. Put your litter in before plugging back in. It will auto level and center the barrel if you don’t move the barrel or else you will have to center the barrel too before plugging back in. The other feature that is good is the infrared sensor. I give it 15 min to clump between each cat’s use. Make sure you check and clean the rubber liner when you replace all the litter. This task is WAY harder than if you had a std tray litter box unless you have a scissor jack underneath the platform so you don’t have to kneel down and crouch over to get inside the barrel. Or you can build a holder for the barrel, remove the waste litter first and then pick the barrel up and put it on the holder to clean. Put a new bag in. Replace the barrel and center it. Fill with litter. Plug in and once it levels the litter turn on the infrared sensor. Sometimes I think it would be just as quick to clean a tray. But if you’re gone for 2 days at a time this is a good solution. ### 4/5 — 2@ 17 pound cats *2025-01-31, version 1.0.1* It’s taking my boys along time to transition from Litter Robot to this new smaller interior one. The app makes it easy to manage and monitor. Easy to empty and has drawstring bag in catch tray to dispose of without mess.
